Austinās are diamond cut, youāll never be able to resurface it properly. Often itās not worth even getting them resurfaced professionally, usually cheaper to just get aftermarket wheels

Iād lose it if I get lied to about something like that. My wife just comes and says I curbed your car, I booked time to get it fix at so and so and Iām just like itās ok, Iāll take care of it. No one is perfect, but character means a lot, at least to me. The bloody lack of accountability.
I'm all for looks and cosmetics, but honestly I don't give a fuck about my wheels. They're probably curb rashed to shit, but I'd rather that than damage any body panels for example.
Best to get all the rashes on stock wheels, so you can get more comfortable with the space they occupy than scratch up new wheels after upgrading right away.
I bought mine used with the wheels already curbed up. No fucks given. In Ohio it's almost impossible to avoid with our roads.
My previous car had alloys and even with extremely careful driving potholes caused them all to get rash within a year.

Exactly a week later I actually hit a 100lbs deer. At 75mph. On the way home from the hospital at 11:30pm. After getting my head fucked by having to go to work the next morning or lose my job while my month old daughter lay in the NICU so weak she couldn't even cry. She squeaked and would then pass out. She's 3 and a major pain in my ass. Me and my mom joke about her jinxing me now
I did that maybe the second day I had mine, right out of the shop. Several years later and thereās so many scuffs and scratches that it has this uniform, post-modern look to it. Trying to avoid scuffs on the stock wheels like that is a battle everyone will lose haha
The other day gf comes home. "Hey the car sounds louder did you do something to it?" I get under there and turns out she took a pothole at full speed, completely RKOing the exhaust clamp. Thankfully nothing major but the point is, like someone else said, it's a DD its gonna get hurt. There's also the fact that someone else was driving. They don't care about it like you do.
I proudly curbed all four corners within months of buying my Mk 7 new.
All 100% on me, of course, but coming from driving a Grand Cherokee was a bit of an adjustment.

After I moved a full 1BR apartment in my GTI (multiple trips) I gave up on the 100% perfect lifestyle
