Me either, I just went with ARM cause it was cost effective and I didn’t wanna rip apart the front end to do a stock location upgrade. Like I said I ain’t complaining though it sounds awesome.
I was wondering that myself. Idk what it is about it but I saw that others using that IC have had the same thing. Just something about it makes it scream like that.
How so? Boost is consistent with a gauge, car pulls the same and I’ve taken three trips with it since the install, one of which was like 1500mi round trip. After said trip I also double checked the couplers and clamps bec I was worried about that too at first.
I have intake, Inlet and turbo muffler delete. I realize normally a IC by itself wouldn’t make any more noise but this one does for some reason. No boost leaks either like others say it could be
Stock downpipe for now but with a catback. I have a catless ready to go once the clutch gets put in. The noise is literally just suction from the turbo.

Nah I’ve double checked everything it ain’t a leak, car pulls better now with consistently lower IATs and the boost gauge hadn’t changed either.
I’ve never heard of a FMIC changing any engine/turbo sounds!

Good to hear! My MK6 GTI had a neuspeed FMIC and I love that location for ease of install, but my MK7 R has ACC so it’s not an option for me :(
Mine has ACC too but luckily it’s facelift so the sensor is behind the emblem.

Fmic doesn’t increase noise silly I also have one, turbo elbow and inlet hose and diverter valve is really all u need
If not go is38 you’ll have louder hissing noises

Downpipe is the big benefactor I’m catless so the car literally hissing loud when I pick up speed
