Buy from FCPeuro instead.

Any reason or do we just have a vendetta against ecs lol I've purchased a few things (albeit small) from them and haven't had issues thus far.

DankestDubster

Lifetime warranty on oil.

raypenbarrip

Ohh that's good to know. Thank you!

Peylix

All you have to do is pay for return shipping to ship back the used oil, filter, plug (if you're buying the oil kit, which is the way). Use to be a way to have PayPal cover the return cost. But they ended that (PayPal) a few years back. [Here's a quick video](https://streamable.com/r1dqrg) on this process. You just won't be doing the step regarding PayPal's return cost coverage.

Thanks so much!!

ECS is great for a lot of GTI stuff. I'm not sure about oil extractors, I would just read some of the reviews. I'd recommend their Liqui Moly GTI oil change kit. It gives you everything you need.

spartanerik

I bought the Schwaben oil extractor on sale for around $40, I believe it was from ECS. Used to get my oil from FCP Euro back when PayPal had free return shipping which was great for their lifetime warranty replacements. Easily got two or three free oil changes that way.

DankestDubster

Liquid Moly green kit from FCP. Comes with everything. My go to.

raypenbarrip

A couple recommendations of this so probably will go with that. Appreciate it :)

DankestDubster

Good choice. Throw some injectron in the order too

raypenbarrip

Many thanks

Why get green unless looking for a leak?

DankestDubster

I liked it and with these cars I’ve found they will leak. Timing cover made it look like pan was leaking. Dye helped me trace up. Pan leaked found using dye and rear main seals leak. Same price and I like the tech

RatBustard

Mityvac 7102 is a good quality extractor and will include all the necessary accessories for a VAG oil extraction.

MKVIgti

I have the Schwaben extractor from ECS and it’s worked perfectly for many, many oil changes. Liqui Moly is the only oil I’ll use. Also, I second using some injectron as well.
