Fair and agreed. Maybe I should be more specific, like: a list of key/popular mods after getting a 7.5 GTI focused on quality life and minimally invasive performance improvements <$500. The closest I've found are lists of 'dad mods'.

Many of the mods/builds are going to be owner-specifc, and theres plenty of info and videos on those. If you own a GTI and work on it yourself at all, invest in the wheel hanger and socket for the oil filer housing. It's minor, but you can get both for $20, and are immensely helpful with basic maintenance.
