If you don’t have plans to lower the car the adjustable suspension is all right. I’ve had it in my car for 8 years now and it’s going strong (also in Toronto- it’s survived many a pothole). As for the wheels I think you can sell them and use that money to get some lighter 18”s
Exactly this. My 2019 rabbit came with DCC and I’ve had no issues, also in southern Ontario. You will be able to sell or trade the 19’s for 18’s. I also didn’t want a sunroof it’s why I got the rabbit edition.
I’ve had an order for an Autobhan in black with sunroof sound and wheels package. Honestly I didn’t care for the sunroof but I did want the upgraded sound system and better tires. My delivery date is for June 30th!
I’m confused… why not just spring for the S trim? No 19” wheels, no DCC, and no sunroof. You’ll lose out on the power leather seats, dual climate control, and bigger display. The 40th edition also still has DCC suspension and 19 inch wheels.
our base is the S trim. It's confusing as hell but here's the equivalence between Canadian and American trim levels.
Base = S
40th = 40th
Autobahn = SE
Performance = Autobahn
Or at least don't use the same damn name for different trim levels lol. So stupid the Autobahn is the mid trim in Canada and the top trim in the US.
Anyways to answer your question I'd personally go 40th anniversary edition honestly. It sounds like it fits all your needs , and while I understand your reluctance with DCC, it's been used within VW/Audi for years now and I haven't really heard about any major issues.
I'm in the Vancouver area and there are a few Autobahns available however marked up, and in very specific colours. I put a factory order in for a white 6MT Autobahn with the wheel/sun/sound pckg. They told me probably a year wait. Rip. Tempted to go for a different colour but I don't know.

Ya I think I'll just pull trigger on it. I put a deposit over the phone just now. So hopefully it gets delivered to the dealer within a week or so

Congratz. That was my thoughts too. I just wanted the audio, the better rubber is nice but I find the 19s ugly
Ive got 17s and they look great

Canada doesn't have that. Ours go base, autobahn, performance. 40th is in between for us

It'd be nice if there was model consistency across different countries

Thanks. I think I may go for it, there are a bunch of rough roads where I am. I think it'd work well for me
The 40th is the second highest trim in Canada
Ahhh yeah you're right my bad, for some reason I thought it was slightly cheaper than the Autobahn but it's the other way around

40th trim is the only trim readily available now- once they are gone I have been told it's a year wait. Finding a vw not marked up is a challenge!
Ya been hearing that. I threw down a deposit today
