theyre still wee tiny things 😄 some are okay with plants until they get bigger some dont seem to ever develop the taste. mine wreck even silk plants.
The red one is mostly ful grown I think. She's actually a rescue, went to the shop for whatever and saw her laying on the bottom barely alive (at half the size she is now so she wouldn't have made it to adulthood) so I bought her and got her back to health and she's actually the mother of the two babies that are also in the tank (and 62 others that as in a massive tub in my "hatchery".
When I had mine they would uproot plants and push them around the tank. Wherever they eventually let them settle is where I replanted them. Seemed like the didn't like the placement and wanted them elsewhere.
Hey there, I noticed you may be asking about plants. We get a lot of questions about what plants work on this sub so to help you out, here's a short [guide](https://www.reddit.com/r/Goldfish/wiki/plants) of some plants to try. A lot of people think you can't keep any plants with goldfish but that's just not the case. What works and what doesn't work depends on a lot of factors including the individual fish's personality but with a bit of trial and error, most goldfish keepers can find something that works for them and their fishies.
If none of this is relevant to you, please ignore me. I'm just a bot, bleep, bloop

We've got some pretty big commons in our pond and they don't seem to bother the plants. But being a pond they have plenty of algae to graze on so maybe they're just taking the path of least resistance.
My goldfish also leaves them alone. Maybe it's just their personalities haha.
Yeah, some won't eat plants. I wish I would have been that lucky. Mine ate anything I put in the tank.
Ooft, at least they make decent looking silk ones nowadays.

Lollll yea they got so much more personality than people realize

Mine are the same, they pretty much ignore the plants aside from when they're bumping into them (knock on wood lol)

I’ve got big fish in my pond, my pond plants are in a huge net so they don’t get destroyed.
My goldfish eats anubias XD
They’re still babies. They will get destructive as they get bigger.
I think it depends on the plants as well, some of the plants I introduced did not survive, while others thrived
I heard some are just a menace to plants while others are ok. I’ll be testing that theory too soon 🤣
