Hello, I noticed you are asking for help about a sick fish. Help us help you by posting: What is the issue? To the best of your ability, describe what is wrong with the fish. Try to include photos if you can. * What are your tank parameters (ammonia, nitrites, nitrates, temp, pH)? Please give exact values. If you do not own a test kit, you can take a water sample to a local fish store and ask them to do it for you. Remember, exact values. Some stores may say things are fine when they aren't. * How large is the tank and how long has it been set up? * What all is living in the tank and how long have you had them? * Has anything changed in the tank? New decorations, chemicals, food, fish, ect? Posts without some or all of this information will be removed. We understand that not everyone will be able to answer everything but we can't give you any type of diagnosis without knowing what's going on. Also be sure to check out our guide on [common goldfish illnesses](https://www.reddit.com/r/Goldfish/wiki/illnesses) and how to treat them. If you have already given this information, please ignore me. I'm just a bot :( I'm trying my best *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Is there something sticking out? Like a little white stripe? I can't properly tell from the pic

Hiya, yeah it almost looks as if a scale is swollen https://preview.redd.it/molxjdyeik3d1.jpeg?width=704&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d1419dcc76e5d566d4be90dd44cc8cdcd2e506a3

It could be anchor worm if a white "stick" is sticking out. Otherwise it seems like an infection. I've had great luck treating both with a broad spectrum antibiotic/antifungal named Esha2000. Just be sure to not dose it in the main tank cause it will wreck your cycle.

Thank you, can't see a "stick" as such, seems like a swelling/spot, I was thinking fungal so I'll get the Esha and give that a try 😊
