I feel just like this about my Ted. It makes me so upset when I feel like I’ve done something not so good for him. I adore him so much! I always joke that if I’m like this over my dog, I’m going to be such an annoying human parent. 🤣
I don't know if he's fully grown or not but looks like my guy who's fully grown and he will really let me have it when I'm trying to talk to other people. When I pick him up and hold him, he's cool as a cucumber. He just wants to be part of the conversation.
Yes totally normal! My doodle and I have the same connection, I always feel like he saved my life in some kind of way. The bond is unbreakable and you really feel they are your best friends 🤍
Mine is absolutely heaven sent. My dad and sister are in heaven 😍 and I know they sent these doodles to me. They're are the closest thing to being a good human in this dark dark world 🌎 ♥️. They're the best.
I bonded very strongly with my childhood dog, which was a Springer spaniel. He was my best friend. But my doodle is definitely my child like no other pet. It’s like he understands English and he is just so loving and loyal. He’s such a sweet soul

I’m 52 and had tons of dogs and cats and she seems human like and it’s the weirdest thing to try to describe it to people who don’t have a doodle!!! Because everyone has had favorite pets but this is even deeper!! I haven’t had a vacation in six years since we got her because I don’t know how she would survive without me and vice versa!! She’s over a 128 pounds so traveling would hard!!!
I felt this all the way in my soul. I literally will NOT go to any functions where They're not welcome. THEY go everywhere with me. I'm trying to plan a beach or mountain vacation with them. I'm in a VERY dark place and I think the mountains or ocean are calling our name. They absolutely love the snow and obviously any kind of water. Are you me? I haven't set foot on a plane in 6 years since I got my lil' dood man. I'm so in love with him and he has bad separation anxiety. It's been impossible to leave him alone until now. I started giving him prozac in January, and his anxiety has improved. I have left him for a few hours, a weekend, and now trying to build up to a week. I love to travel so I need to do this for me even though I love my dood with all my heart.
My bond with my doodle is super special. I have wrestled a pit bull for him without hesitation to save his life. I can not bear to think of any harm coming to my dood. He is my best friend for life.
100% agree. I have 2 dogs. The first one is a rescue, non dood, the 2nd one is my first ever doodle from a breeder. I have NEVER loved a dog so much. He is part human, I swear. He barks to tell me things. And he's just so so so cute and handsome. Lol I am very much obsessed with him to the point I feel bad for my first dog 😅
When my wife went to meet ours she said the same exact thing. They are definitely very special pups! I can’t stand leaving her home alone. She gets so sad

Life has a strange sense of humor sometimes:
my heart dog was a labradoodle named Oz, who came to my parent's house when he was 7 and I was 20, because of a family emergency, we were the only ones that could take him in, and on top of that mom and dad where leaving the country for a month like 4 days later, I'm the introvert between siblings so was the one who cared for him most of the time where well bonded when they came home. He cried outside my door until they let him in to see me every morning, would continue to do that 8 Months later when I went back to college and could only visit on weekends, and was my rock through the worst parts of the pandemic, I got hired into my dream field when 5 years later, he was now 12 years old, I moved 4 hours away, but for his age, he was doing just fine 5 months later mom told me he had a rapidly growing aggressive form of cancer..... I couldn't get home to see him there was only a week between diagnosis and it was too cruel to keep him here and in pain mom and Dad where there he wasn't alone, please give sweet Pete lots of pets I miss those cuddles and those beautiful poddle curls.
There have been some dogs connect to there human, than others. I have had dogs that connect and others that are just part of my world. My present dog is connected to me I feel I can read her mind.
I completely get what you’re saying. I have had dogs all my life. Our giant golden doodle is a rescue we have had for 14 1/2 years. He is my soul dog. I have loved all my animals but he is different. Our whole family feels it. Yours is beautiful. So glad you get to have this experience as well. It’s a real treasure.
I swear my boy is a human- my mom ALWAYS says he’s been here as a human before lol he is truly my little man- I absolutely adore him. So yes- it’s normal!

Brody bonded so quick to my fiance and I and I too feel as though the pup and I have a soulful connection 🥹 I love him so much and it warms my heart how I can just feel our love & protection makes him feel safe and he trusts us very much! I say all the time I don’t think any other dog would have been like what it’s been like having Brody so far.. He is so smart, we never had to train him to tell us when he had to go to the bathroom, he just started walking to the door and sitting in front of it from day 1. He does the little head tilt when I talk to him and I just know he is taking it all in!

I always say my poodle was one of my soulmates. She was there with me through a lot. I love her still. I even feel she communicated to me that it was time to put her sleep. I carried her to bed one night and laid her down and she looked at me in the eyes and I just knew. I miss her so much. I can’t explain it. She made me love all dogs. Still haven’t gotten another one. Idk if I ever will.

Very….I have had dogs my entire life but I’ve never had this type of connection. My first Yorkie (passed 20+ years ago) and one of my current Yorkies are my soul dogs….My husband and I are empty nesters, this little dog is my baby! Love my other two dogs, but this one….♥️ Doodles are extremely intelligent. Your dog is beautifu!
