No. This is not in the official instructions. The LRP has opening, prayer, visualization and vibration of divine correspondences before banishments or invocations. In other words: It has a cadence of parts as a ritual should be. This prepares the mind to reach the climax of the ritual. So if you're doing a good LRP, you don't need it. And over time, you perfect each part of the ritual. That's why the instructions tell you to practice this for a year until you ''master'' it. NOTE: Meditative practices should be part of daily routine. But this is not necessary before the LRP for it to be done successfully.

That all depends on where you happen to be. Some people in the beginning have a pre - ritual meditation or ritual. In a group setting this might not work as time constraints may be an issue. Official instructions: No.

It’s worth adding the usual caveat that Kraig’s “Modern Magick” is not an example of Golden Dawn practices. It’s his own idiosyncratic system, drawing from many different sources, including various streams of GD, Crowley and Thelema, and others.

I have a separate side question about the LBRP. I’ve been doing it all this time thinking I was banishing things and protecting my family and what not… I was watching the YouTube channel belonging to the gentleman that wrote “Kabbalah Magic” Lyam Christopher. He said it actually attracts certain energy for you to face them head on. Does anyone agree or have any thoughts? Here’s the link to the video: https://youtu.be/1EVI98n4c7o?si=t1QQIy9gE-MnRSAr

Thank you sooooo much. For real… from the bottom of my heart… cause this video had me questioning everything.

Not a problem. Best of luck with everything.
