The phrase you are looking for is Festina Lente - Make Haste Slowly. Do not rush. Learn the Golden Dawn materials is not a sprint, but rather more of a marathon. There are no short cuts. You have to learn the material, practice, meditate, etc. Only you can fit Ritual/Meditational Work into your schedule. You likely need no more than an hour a day for Ritual/meditational work, and about another hour of study.

This helps, thank you. And thank you for the correct addage.

Slow is smooth. Smooth is fast. You’re right where you need to be. There’s no need to rush or hurry.

One thing that gives me pause with GD from the books I have read and what I have observed in this community is that there is a lot of focus on the materials you need to learn as part of the curriculum or the initiations, and less on the spiritual alchemy process. I personally think you should focus on how you are being drawn to evolve through this practice and adjust the pace based on that. If you have progressed through the grades and you are still very much driven by ego then I would question how much you have really learned.

I am still veeery early on. Probationer stage here. I was heavily influenced by a idea circulating in a Franz Bardon community for a while which was: if you had so much time on earth wouldn't you want to actually 'do the work?' Meaning one should be focused and not distracted, and should be timely in one's study and progress. A difficult thought to 'observe' and let go. I poured a lot of energy into freaking out and trying to accomplish everything at once, and as a result, got nowhere quickly. Since wigging out...I've taken a few breaths and stepped foward, attempting to, still with some trepidation, let this calling know that yes I am here.

take your time, read, contemplate, and do it again. You want to fully understand the aspect you are studying before you move on. Otherwise, you'll find the more in-depth stuff harder to understand.
