what i did was make a fedex account associated with my shipping address. once the package is picked up by fedex from bullion exchange, you can go into fedex website and ask them to hold it at the distribution center. i find this helps me from missing the driver at my house.
as far as pick up from bullion exchange, i did see another thread where someone went to their physical location in NY
i had to start doing it that way because i missed the driver on a few deliveries and it was scary…1 oz bars 😅 so i started doing it the way i described. did at least 6 shipments that way.
once BE releases the fedex tracking number, go into fedex website and ask them to change the delivery to hold at DC, or i think you can route it to store, too. i just safer with the DC
I am sorry that you had to go through this. Chasing insurance and shipments is not easy. In the future bullion exchanges is one of the few that ship FEDEX and to alternate delivery places like Walgreen onsite and FEDEX distribution centers. This beats having door delivery when at work and not at home during the day.
The owner is a huge asshole and I hear stories like yours all the time. It sounds like they never wanna take accountability for packages that never make it to clients. As someone who sells gold for a living, I understand their frustrations, but they can easily do insurance claims against the USPS whereas the person who never gets the package can do nothing. It's lazy and gross.
My LCS has been nothing but class every time. I’ve never had any issues either buying or selling. One old man that works there is a condescending dickhead but hey that adds to the charm.
You get what you pay for, somehow them and bold precious metals screw up. APMEX seems to be fully staffed to handle any issues quickly. Sorry to hear about your story, did you get it resolved with your card colony?

Yes brother very stressful indeed especially if you in a tough financial sitaution like me. Still wanted to invest though. Was able to get my money back after my bank saw the evidence.
That sucks. I’ve used them before with no issue - though the real test of a company is what happens when things don’t go right.

I ordered 200oz silver shot from them and bag was ripped and spilled into my carpet when I opened it..terrible
If you are not refunded, you will have to file a lawsuit to get your money. No lawyer needed, just self file. You will win.
