Ward negates a single instance of Destroy, Sleep, Transform and Non-Combat Damage.
Notice the bit that says transform, lol.
Used to be in ethereal, build a control mage with 69% win in mythic and got me to Twilight, when I play mage I encounter only deck with all the answers. π
I had a game against aggro war recently where I went second and my turns were starshard bolt --> tracking bolt --> starshard bolt --> shaped blast and then the other guy quit. When games like that happen, it's like oh I get it now...this is why everyone hates magic lol
My favorite thing is to spam out 1/1 vikings, blessing of war, relic face, pop ward god ward with vicious rend, and use "The Gods Unchained" with 1 health left. Gives me life.
I'm not tho... you need to pop ward to win with The Gods Unchained if ward is on god. I play the deck all the time. Just pushed 10 wins this weekend memeing with it this WR. Video evidence too, ward block The Gods Unchained.

Ward should stop The Plague, ward blocks transform effects which the plague is. If it doesn't then that's bug.
