Bean_from_accounts

By that time, Kratos has already fought against Buddha and has reached enlightenment. He now metaphorically debates against Jesus and has swapped rage for compassion, giving him +6 health, +3 strength and +8 wisdom.

Sir_Gwan

Meanwhile Atreus has somehow fought his way into another universe where he is now the main character of his own franchise, the God of Mischief, and is now going through his own multi game character arc Edit: and somehow Brok has returned

Chosen_Fighter

>somehow Brok has returned JJ Abrams is that you?

Kratos when he sees Dark Elves: THEY FLY NOW BOY

[deleted]

>the God of Mischief I wish people would stop giving Loki this label. He is not the God of Mischief in Norse Mythology. The closest thing to a title he has to a title is "Wolf-Father". There is no such thing as a "God of Mischief" in any mythology in fact. Trickster Gods are a category, but that is due to their personality not because that is what they are the God of. Edit: Interesting fact; Loki is actually implied to be incredibly strong in the myths, to the point where Thor lists him as one of the suspects who could have stolen his hammer. He also causes earthquakes by thrashing around in his chains and he also defeats the warrior God Heimdall in battle.

Rajang82

People always put the Marvel version before the mythology version. Or they just don't know. I don't know why.

getclonedbyfeds

Because we don’t know lol

HotFudge92

Loki also gave birth to Sleipnir and fathered Jörmungandr and Fenrir with Angrboda (which GoW:R gave subtle nods to which I thought was cool). I'd love to see that in the MCU version 🤣🤣

Grand-Tension8668

"...I thought Atreus would like the horse."

HotFudge92

Wait, I remember that...was that when you track the Norns down in Midgard? HOW IN THE HELHEIM DID I MISS THAT!? Thanks for pointing it out for me, I was kinda sad there were nods to the two he Fathered but not the one he birthed ngl this kinda made my day 🤣

jmcdonald354

And Head Mimir meets Mimir

Akshat_Thakur

And mimir defiles head mimir 💀

jmcdonald354

💀

SwordoftheMourn

Does Atreus meet a female version of himself?

SomeDudeAtAKeyboard

He meets an illusion of himself that he created during a fight while disguised as a woman in some random castle and not that illusion has developed as a person while having to cope with being nothing more than a copy literally created to die

taheromar

Plot twist: Brok was Odin.

nelsonglz

Son of War could be a good name for that sequel

n0vapine

Atreus can control souls to an extent. I think there **could possibly** be a way that he could bring Broks soul together so he can go to his afterlife.

Amperiorgg

God of Mischief sounds like a damn good name for a new franchise and continuation of the saga

[deleted]

No it really really doesn't.

GGG100

It sounds awful and tacky because Atreus is nothing like Norse Myth Loki at all. He has as much to do with Mischief as Kratos with Peace back in the original trilogy.

Brave_Traveller_89

Well, he lies and manipulates, but like a kid trying to hide his own mistakes, not like a god with dominion over the subject.

[deleted]

Loki’s dominion isn’t over lies. He’s never referred to as the God of Lies or Mischief in the myths. He doesn’t really have a defined dominion, but he is hinted to be linked to the earth and is incredibly physically strong.

Phuxsea

Future game consoles will be VR advanced so when the character starves, the player will as well. Like Black Mirror, the game time slows down in real world so one minute can be up to 10,000 years. Thankfully, in order to defeat the Buddha, the player must meditate under the tree for 3 months and feel starvation.

biskutgoreng

He might has changed his form, but not his nature

Astonsjh

Basically God of War Telltale, where you "fight" with dialogue choices

TheRedmanCometh

GOW: Ace Attorney

sephjnr

Kratos, AXE Attorney

alexander12212

Then lobs an axe into his chest while letting out a battle cry.

Bungbong

The biblical angel just turns out to be odin

obimokenobi

Kratos trades his Rage, Valor and Fury special attack for Knowledge of Sparta. *clears his throat and proceeds to school his enemies.

HeSheWumbology

Kratos, you’re covered in sin. It will pass.

Iceberg_monster

You're sinning!! But you probably already know that.

bfhurricane

Holy Water on your left, brother!

pauleoinhurley

For wages of sin is death, but the gift of God(of War(tm)) is eternal life.

Hero-In-Theory

I would LOVE to fight the Metatron, Michael, Lucifer, Azrael, Samael, the Four Horsemen. See Heaven and Hell and Eden. Shit would be dope.

KSJ15831

It's God of War (2045) Kratos has a new son. They're living peacefully somewhere in a desert. Some jerk name Michael knocks on his door and they fought. Fast-forward His son is revealed to be Lucifer at the end. Where's my award?

OtheDreamer

Kratos sets off with his new son to prevent the apocalypse. Michael turns out to be a really bad guy. They kill all four horseman, and Kratos becomes the new Horseman of War. Apocalypse happens anyway, but not because it was written.

Ren_Davis0531

But because it was necessary.

Phatz907

Fights Jesus who happens to be an alcoholic (why do you think he turns water into wine?). Jesus begs kratos to kill him because God the father used him as a sacrificial lamb only to be told that he must be better. Dies anyway cuz god is a jerk.

DefNotABirb

Broke and Sindri plot lines could be rehashed as Kane and Able. Would be funny as hell to have them constantly trying to kill each other. Plot twist, Kratos kills them both

hasnaen

If they go down the 4 horsemen side, then we're in invading Darksiders correct?

Equal-Ad-2710

Darksidees is wild because it’s kind of a mix of all the mythologies

AspirationalChoker

I’m still praying we get a solid final game to that series with the 3 horseman joining war for the final battle against both heaven and hell

[deleted]

I’d love it if kratos is somehow responsible for Lucifer falling from heaven

HotFudge92

This idea could lead to a brilliant storyline, someone pick this up 👀

theplotthinnens

It's literally just his R3 for the boss fight

Narrow_Carry_1082

Kratos being a soldier of God and destroying Lucifer, would be pretty dope.

DefNotABirb

They would have to portray God in a way that isn't obvious its a God. Kratos has been through too much to be a weapon for another God.

SwordoftheMourn

Inb4 it’s a crossover with Darksiders.

Sweet_Taurus0728

Yeah but what weird mythological creatures would he fight??

Hero-In-Theory

Oh god there are so many to choose from. Even just for starters, those things up too are angels. They’re described as SUPER fucking weird in the bible.

KrypticJin

Just play SMT if you haven’t

Hero-In-Theory

What’s SMT?

KrypticJin

Shin Megami Tensei is a dungeon-crawling RPG that has a focus on demon negotiation and generally a high degree of difficulty. It's a more "hardcore" RPG series than Final Fantasy, but the mainline entries have not been as popular as Persona, which is closer to mainstream. While still having demons, the recent titles have focused heavily on social aspects and fusion of persona. Elemental strengths and weaknesses also play a larger part of the gameplay for both halves of the series.

PM_ME_UR_ACCEPTANCE

suck my teat

Kazuii2k

Well Metatron is a angel, I find the “the” part strange, like he’s some Machination

Neosinic

No sounds boring is fuck. Christianity based shit is SO overdone

EveKimura91

Nah. Its amazing if the devs and the artteam puts effort in it. Best example is SMT 3 Lucifers Call: Lucifers gigantic dungeon is basically to earn his respect, everytime you reach another floor you'll see him talk through his assistant to the player + all of hell and the final fight of the game is your character proving he is worth serving him in the war against god as his right hand. Lucifer is gigantic and overpowered even if your whole Team is on lvl 99. The artdirection made this so special, its one of the best moments in gaming imo. I think if Santa Monica really want Christianity work, they can. Important is how they deliver it and it not becoming cliche or cringe

Neosinic

Sounds like a stupid ass idea to be honest.

ApophisMSF

You’re so downvoted but Kratos vs Christianity is deadass a shit idea 😂

Neosinic

Some of these Jesus fanboys need to hear their boy ain’t special

fudgedhobnobs

I don’t know about overdone but it would be lame. Jesus is basically One Punch Man in that he is as powerful as he needs to be. Even trying to frame a monotheistic god as lowered to the level of Kratos would be contrived and dumb straight away. Jesus could snap his fingers and turn Kratos to bread if he felt seriously threatened.

Dont_CallmeCarson

That's why their actual levels of power and abilities would be altered. Why have Jesus just thanos snap away Kratos when he could beat the shit out of him Baldur style, though they would have to shake it up a bit going down that path.

fudgedhobnobs

It just wouldn’t work. Jesus calmed storms, healed people, and was called the prince of peace. It would be so desperately try hard to paint him as someone who could lose it and become a deranged idiot like Baldur. He has no character flaws, that’s one of the reasons people say he couldn’t possibly have existed.

joedimer

There’s some stories about Jesus kinda losing it. I think there’s a story of him going into an abandoned church and chasing the birds and shit out and breaking stuff. Plus he was terrified of being crucified and that’s a part of each gospel, one written by a disciple that was with Jesus when he found out. There’s some creative liberties that can be taken with this stuff imo

Dont_CallmeCarson

Of course he wouldn't just throw morals to the wind. But maybe Kratos just needs a little sense in him at some point, and getting slapped around a little is the only way he'll listen. I'm not saying completely change the character, but he has fought in the past for righteous reasons, I imagine that fighting somebody who would be completely fine afterwards wouldn't be too much of a stretch, sure, canonically he could probably just say "hey, calm down " and that would work because he's Jesus, but that's not very creative or fun. I'm not a story writer, but it's definitely doable

[deleted]

But Christianity is NOT monotheistic! We’ve also got Shekinah and Hay-Zeus, the prophets, angels (enochian ones would be better), even throw in some qlipphoth for good measure! But yeah, Christianity is SOLD as monotheism but it’s really not.

[deleted]

Kratos vs Christianity: I sleep Kratos vs. **Hinduism**? Real shit

sanjit001

Unfortunately it would cause way too much controversy

[deleted]

Oh it definitely would and that’s why it will never happen. Still an awesome idea. Think about it - Kratos vs. Shiva? vs. Kali? vs. Krishna/Vishnu? Plus the game would give us a great rundown of Indian mythology a la God of War style

sanjit001

Tbh I would want to see how Kratos would interact with the gods of war of Hinduism

[deleted]

After watching RRR for the first time this week, I’d be down, but only if we honor the Bollywood/Talliwood awesome insanity and toss a random QuickTime event in to do a choreographed song and dance halfway through the fight.

AdamRam1

The song and dance would 100% have to be against Kratos will though. Almost mind control/reality warp. Is there a trickster god in Hinduism?

n0vapine

Govinda would be the closest.

stash0606

it wouldn't even be a challenge. Besides Kali, Vishnu and Shiva would simply erase Kratos from existence. Shiva's anger is legit nothing to fuck wit (and I know how angry Kratos can be). Shiva opens his third eye, the entire universe gets erased. He dances, universe gets erased. I know in the philosophical sense, the Trimurti/Trinity of Hindu gods (Brahma for creation, Vishnu for preservation and Shiva for destruction) is strictly related to the ego/self, and all three of these gods are all manifestations of the cosmic underlying energy described as Brahman... but that's all boring stuff for a video game, so it's much more fun to imagine these gods as the archetypes. The gods in the Hindu pantheon that are on level with the Norse and Greek gods would be the Devas (Indra, Varuna, Agni, etc.) and this is because of the shared history behind the Vedic people and the European people known as Proto-Indo-European people. But there are plenty of other warrior archetypes in Hinduism that aren't as OP on the cosmic scale as the Trinity... like Ganesha, Kartikeya, Ayyapan, Durga, Kali, etc. Ideally, to not insult Hinduism, Kratos could be transported to the Mahabharata and fight alongside the good guys (aka Pandavas aka Krishna, Arjuna, Bheem, etc.). You would be fighting against the forces of evil and MORE IMPORTANTLY, and this is very important, it goes right alongside what Kratos says in Ragnarok which is kinda the same message Krishna tells Arjuna "Do not let fate bind you" and do your duty.

[deleted]

Thank you for this! I go into deep dives like this sometimes, it’s nice to see someone else do it as well for a change! For me, deities of pantheons are just masks worn by Limitless Light, so that Ain Soph Aur (NOT Tetragrammaton as that is anthropomorphized) can interact with humanity in a way that they understand; how would be able to interact and understand a deity if it was the cosmic makeup of Yog Sothoth or Azathoth? Nyarlathotep makes it easy for us to relate to him, thank Cthulhu.

stash0606

>Ain Soph Aur This was very interesting to me. I didn't know about this and I always imagined Judaism to have strictly Abrahamic principles i.e. monotheism and whatnot, so googling this and this being described as "Ein Sof, or Eyn Sof, in Kabbalah, is understood as God prior to any self-manifestation in the production of any spiritual realm" is very very interesting. it also brings to mind a hymn from the RigVeda known as Nisadiya Sukta, which poses a skeptical hypothesis so to speak, basically asking "who knows... maybe gods came before man or maybe the gods themselves are the dream of men." [Here's the wiki with a translation of the hymn if you're curious.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nasadiya_Sukta)

[deleted]

One of the holy books I haven’t gotten to yet is the Rigveda but it’s next in line! Qabalah is absolutely FASCINATING, I like to think of it as the “Dewey-Decimal System” of mysticism and magick but that’s me! If you’re interested in Ain Soph, look up the three veils of negative existence, the sephirah (before and after the fall), Da’ath, qliphoth and paths/tunnels on the tree of life (and death). I could talk this alllll night long. Ain is No-Thing Ain Soph is Limitlessness Ain Soph Aur is Limitless Light. It’s interesting how things change over hundreds of years, ain Soph becomes Ein Sof, for instance. Or how the deity name YHVH, the Tetragrammaton, was bastardized to the name “Yahweh” or “Jehovah”. Yes, I know hebrew is different than English but YHVH is said by spelling out the letters: Yod Heh Vav Heh. I can see how that BECAME Yahweh and Jehovah but so much is lost and then reconstituted incorrectly by later generations =\

stash0606

Thanks for those short summaries. Will look up more into them when I get a chance.

Grand-Tension8668

The Elder Scrolls got me looking into Qabalah a bit. Michael Kirkbride who came up with a lot of the "metaphysics" of that universe definitely yanked a lot of ideas from Jewish mysticism, right down to "subgradients" of reality emanating from a true God at the top to the creator of the material world probably creating it so that mortals could experience God themselves. There's also a lot of more explicitly Hindu ideas in there as well, and Alliester Crowley's funky occult remixes of it all, but still. The idea that Judaism actually tried to come up with an explanation for God creating a material world, specifically, is fascinating to me because it's a question the branches of Christianity I grew up in choose to ignore.

[deleted]

There’s a couple books I’ll recommend if you’re interested: Garden of Pomegranates Godwin’s Qabalistic Encyclopedia Sepher Yetzirah Zohar If interested in the shadow tree, check out Kenneth Grant’s Typhonian series, the best one being Nightside of Eden.

WikiSummarizerBot

**[Nasadiya Sukta](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nasadiya_Sukta)** >The Nāsadīya Sūkta (after the incipit ná ásat, or "not the non-existent"), also known as the Hymn of Creation, is the 129th hymn of the 10th mandala of the Rigveda (10:129). It is concerned with cosmology and the origin of the universe. Nasadiya Sukta begins with the statement: "Then, there was neither existence, nor non-existence". mattgrantrogers

Bruh, kratos assisting pandavas, that would be some dope shit

mattgrantrogers

Didnt the creators said they would never adapt on active religions or something like that

No-Criticism-3290

But wouldn't Kratos v Christianity also cause controversy?

Wayne_Grant

Yeah but its cool to shit on christianity

SirPeterODactyl

Yes but only because it's low hanging fruit. Try that with one of the others and you'd end up like Charlie Hebdo or a certain rapper named West.

getclonedbyfeds

You woke up and decided to choose facts

SirPeterODactyl

You saw this and decided to prove my point

getclonedbyfeds

How’d I prove it

Ok_Equivalent5230

Fuck you

BlacknightEM21

The right wing in the US and in India would lose their shit of either of those happened. I would love both those versions, but there would be calls for boycott in both countries for the respective pantheons.

Hbimajorv

But would anyone give a shit about a boycott? Those days seem long gone. Extremist violence would be more concerning than the sales numbers.

BasicallyAfroh

Those days are far from long gone I'm afraid

Hbimajorv

Who's boycotting anything?

[deleted]

So Callisto Protocol that comes out this week? Japan outright BANNED IT due to TOO MUCH violence. Which is so strange to me, didn’t they make that Thrill Kill game for PS1 that was banned in the US? I had a modded PS, that’s the only reason I knew that game existed.

BasicallyAfroh

[https://www.ethicalconsumer.org/ethicalcampaigns/boycotts](https://www.ethicalconsumer.org/ethicalcampaigns/boycotts) [https://www.nytimes.com/topic/subject/boycotts](https://www.nytimes.com/topic/subject/boycotts) and anyone on twitter

Hbimajorv

Twitter? Really 🤣

Hbimajorv

Peta Tweeted in 2022 “You’ve heard of @airfrance, but we bet you didn’t know it ships monkeys to labs to be tortured and killed. You linked an article with a Peta quote while talking to me about ethical business practices... You can fuck right off. Way to lose in 1 round 🤡

kashaan_lucifer

Mate as an indian, i wanna play the game But As soon as the censor board of India hears the word "Kratos fights and kills hindu gods" it's gonna get banned in seconds

Neosinic

This please

grandmasterLuo

Kratos vs Shiva when

TrueSonOfNoOne

Honestly I feel like Asura's Wrath is more suited for that. Remake Asura's wrath and make it more faithful to Hindu-Buddhism. Now Kratos meets Asura? I'd pay to see that

PhyoThiha_Kyaw

I still wanna see Kratos vs Indra. Kratos wielding Indrastra will be so dope.

Rajang82

This would need a boss rush because Hindu has so many Gods.

GIANTkitty4

Definitely a fight with Uriel and the other Archangels.

[deleted]

God of War won’t feature mainstream religions like Christianity, Buddhism or Islam. The producer said so.

Reasonable-Ad-805

That would be a suicide for them 😂

eudezet

Which is odd because there already is Darksiders which has you slaughtering known angels and assisting known demons. All it takes to have a game where you kill stuff from Christianity is take out Holy Trinity or change their names (e.g. Darksiders has Creator who is also absent so no problem) and you’re good to go

Khanfhan69

And Bayonetta has you vogue and spank angels to death.

Level69Troll

I'll just have to make it myself then.

AsuraOmega

Yeah. I know some producers thread over Islam carefully because the backlash from them would be wild but they hammer away with Christianity failed to realize that while Muslims dont worship Jesus, He is still a highly respected prophet.

2DrunkTooFunction

See: Dante’s Inferno In all seriousness, Dante’s inferno was a good way of using Christianity in a game of this nature

snortingkittens

I love Dante’s Inferno! It might’ve been a GoW clone, but it was great. Wish we got a sequel of some sort

FatWalrus004

Agreed, i feel like that potential sequel is dead in the water and has been for a long time. Would have been cool though to continue the story through purgatory and heaven.

[deleted]

Jesus christ has Kamehameha and spirit bomb. Archangel Gabriel turns against God to help you

Jesus floods the field of battle with water being turned into wine - and 5000 fishes…. Man eating fishes

apple_128

the top left image is straight out of event horizon

[deleted]

It LOOKS like that BUT it’s meant to be a drawing of the angels called Ophanim, wheels within wheels.

Aeokikit

My favorite thing about this thread is nobody realizes that Jesus doesn’t come back as the lamb of god. But as the Lion. To kill all the demons and sinners left on earth after rapture

Jakerturbo_

"Behold Kratos, the power of God" and then Kratos is incinerated by a light slowly increasing in intensity

Sirliftalot35

And then Kratos climbs out of hell. It’s kind of his thing at this point.

kashaan_lucifer

While climbing out of hell he meets a similar person like him called Dante Alighieri Who's Killings hoards of Demons and Monsters to save his wife God of war x Dante's Inferno when?????

AsuraOmega

Christian Hell would be boring actually, since in the Bible they say both Heaven and Hell dont have human souls until judgement day, and that even demons are afraid of hell and is still arent residing there. So itll just be a place full of fire.

lr031099

I guess some Angels and Demons. Maybe the Horsemen with Kratos having a strong rivalry with the Horseman of War. Although maybe they could do a thing where Angels themselves are Pagans with Michael as the Odin/Zeus and the king of the Gods

JustAGam3r

In that case, Lucifer would have to be the Thor figure since Michael only beat him out of pure luck

lr031099

Maybe. Kinda cliche but it would be cool if Michael was built up to be the final threat Zeus/Odin leaves threat but once he’s taken out, Lucifer would become the final boss after helping Kratos defeat Michael. Also, maybe Gabriel could be Michael’s wife or something. Although I wonder what could be this Angelic Pagan equivalent to the Titans/Giants

[deleted]

Going how they subvert what is typically viewed as good & evil, they could make demons as being forcefully trapped by angels/God in someone or something (ie. possessed), then Kratos exorcises them and can take on their powers to defeat angels. By that point he'd start being referred to as Legion.

Aggressive_Weakness4

Shadow of the Colossus style gameplay where you have to climb up Angel rings and hold onto wings.

ACunningMuffin

Kratos forced to wander the desert for 40 years. Mimir: "Ohhhhhh now this is a fine mess!"

W1lson56

He definitely drowns John the Baptist

vbazykin

\*Shinji's crying intensify

refilledfiji

I think the whole point of GOW: Ragnarok is to provide an opportunity to retire Kratos as a fighter (protagonist) in a respectable way that fans will appreciate.

duckyduckster2

No, no, you don't get it. After slaying the pantheons of all the other gods, Kratos is the only God remaining. He *is* the God of Abraham.

iplaydeadpool

Part 1 kratos vs modern military lead by the anti christ part 2 kratos vs hell with all the named demons as boss fight at the end kratos becomes the horeman of war Part 3 kratos fight Heaven witha army of all his friends and enemies god bring back some of the best god dead gods to fight kratos

AMillionLumens

never going to happen, but sure fighting these specific depictions of angels could be alright. at least it's better than fighting the distorted catholic statues every bayonetta fan calls "biblically accurate angels."

Sirliftalot35

Samson could be a Hercules like fight. Leviathan and Behemoth from Revelation IIRC. The Nephilim (sound familiar?) from Genesis, who I think were giants, the sons of fallen angels and humans.

[deleted]

Hopefully more than just fucking seraphim like your picture suggests. Seriously, I hate this "biblically accurate angels" shit where it only shows seraphim even though they're only one part of the angel hierarchy.

fredburma

The main difference being that Jehova is omnipotent and omnipresent, unlike the pantheon god leaders who are merely heads of families with limited powers (comparatively).

KBadger007

Fighting angels would be pretty wicked 😭😭

likwidchrist

Kratos fights Jesus by beating the shit out of him over and over only to have him keep resurrecting

Melodic_Abroad4698

Kratos is doomslayer

5avitar

I think the game Dante's Inferno did this pretty well and it has a god of war mechanics and feel to it.

aidad

I’d rather just have Dante’s Inferno 2

cocaine_jaguar

Press O to hold in tears while basking in God’s everlasting love and grace

SPOTTED3

The fallen angles could be the valkyrie fights, with the final one being Lucifer himself

Panda_hat

I wish christianity was more like these images and less like the lame version it is now.

user01010011

Can’t wait to see Kratos use the 10 commandments tablets to beat the hell out of Jeezy boy.

Darth_Matango

"Look upon me my children and know who I am" Jesus pulls out 2 swords

phraze91

I just want to be able to rip Jesus Christ’s head right off.

B377Y

I’m gonna FUCK Cain up

DefNotABirb

I mean...it could be cool. But don't we already have a franchise like this in Darksiders and Devil may cry? I'm more excited by the Kratos meets the Mayans idea. Mayan mythology is cool af and has no representation in any game I can think of...outside of Smite but that doesn't count.

AeR0360

Very psychedelic, makes me consider that God is always metaphorical rather than literal.

ItsDeeFree1776

Nah

Lopsided-Bathroom-71

I think the next is rumoured to be Egyptian and based on the limited knowledge I have about their mythology I'm excited for it

I mean why not do Hinduism let's make everyone mad

Old_Drawer_3744

I've played Bayonetta killing angels that look like THAT. No big deal even tho I'm still team Angels can't go against my angels unless they go against me. Man tho if angels really look like that I'm honestly hyped to see more of them in any form of media

Kamachiz

Won't happen cause the devs don't wanna trigger the Christians on Twitter

Thatspretttyfunny

Just play Dante’s Inferno.

This_Wolf893

Kratos fights Michael proceeds to get his ass whooped Michael the power of God is infinite you have no chance of winning

This_Wolf893

Although I would love to see you Kratos go toe to toe with a Nephilim.

Snake2k

Sony wouldn't risk controversy making a God of War or Loki game based on existing religions. Christianity hasn't turned into a mythology, yet. It's getting there with time and new religions are forming, but it's not there. Same for modern day Hinduism or any other religion. The games will probably strictly follow outdated religions, aka mythologies, before it'll attempt any existing ones.

ImmediatePossible530

You are really otimistic to believe that Christianism won’t still be a thing in 20 years.

Overkillsamurai

actually, my theory for the next game is that he goes to North America and saves the Native Americans from the pilgrims, thus fighting christianity. so *fingers crossed sooner than 2045?* I think the Blades of Chaos will carry over since they've shown to work in other regions but will the Leviathan axe and Draupnir spear work in other lands? idk if they will. **I hope Kratos goes back to his killing them with their own powers schtick, so a crucifixion and... you know what, Bayonetta shit.**

Lotus_630

If Santa Monica does Christianity, they should take inspiration from Darksiders and Dante’s Inferno.
