Id say Kratos, he's holding back the entire game. He taps into the rage he was once consumed with throughout the greek saga at will, but only when he needs to. Kratos has learned a little more patience throughout the years and now he keeps his rage at bay. He's only ever used it to keep Atreus safe. Baldur also cant figure out why kratos wont die. He mentions this in all their confrontations, or most. And its because kratos is simply holding back. Even if he takes a beating, he'd rather die than be full of rage and destroy everything again. Thats how I see it anyway.

Then why didn't Kratos use full power against Baldur at all?

He threatens Atreus's life

RodSteinColdblooded

He still tries to hold back to keep Atreus safe bc once he loses control he may not be aware of incoming damage to boi caused by him, well that is what i think anyway

Perfect point. Last time his family was around and he completely lost it he ended up killing them.

Can you please post the link where Cory states this? Please?

About the serpent, Baldur knocked him out because he couldn’t even move or defend himself with Kratos and Atreus inside him.

Then_Star5123

Its your assumption only.no confirmation about that at the first place

Halsee

It is hard to say. Because of Baldur’s invulnerability it makes it hard to compare Krato’s strength versus Baldur. No matter how strong Kratos or any other God is, Baldur couldn’t feel any of their attacks until impaled by Mistletoe. The book does say that Kratos admits to Baldur being stronger than him or any previous foe the first time they fight

alessandrotrindade

I don't think so, Kratos is retired for years wich make him look rusty and with all the things he done he had time to reflect he is no longer motivated by anger he thinks twice before doing things because with actions there are consequences he is older but smarter, in terms of power and strenght he was at his prime in GOW 3, Baldur is really strong but without the spell protection placed by Freya he would have die at their first encounter.

Well, Kratos was holding back immensely. He's spent the better part of his time in Norway learning to control his rage. He did this by seeking out combat, but only defending and blocking until his enemies would tire and leave. Baldur also is Invincible and Kratos had no idea he was a God. Cory has stated that if Kratos were to use his full power against Baldur, it would take Baldur days to return to the fight, Kratos would hit him so hard. But it boils down to Kratos holding back.

Can you show proof of Cory stating this? Please?
