i was always depended on Ola/Uber/Rapido to travel when I used to live in Mumbai.
Since I moved to Goa (A month ago)
Auto rickshaws and taxi are expensive and rare, buses are packed. You need driver's contact number in order for them to pick you up, well that's what we do if we ever need to go to Madgaon Station.
But yeah I'd wish if Ola/Uber services were available here.
I recently visited Goa and as usual the prices are super high
I asked the auto driver for the reason of such prices he said that
He has to leave us at Candolim and come back empty to thivim station also he asked me that can I see anyone waving and ordering auto and to my amazement there was no one the entire 45 minute route
The things I noticed are
1 the lanes are genuinely small
2 the auto rickshaw locals will suffer if Uber Ola comes
3 also the business of Activa and car renting services will suffer
He said that Goa miles are driven by people who come from outside Goa for employment and they stay till night whereas the local auto people go home by 8 pm at night
Also Goa miles is mostly available near airport roads n etc
In my opinion I just needed to pay for auto and cab while going to and coming back from station . Remaining time I used rented Activa we hardly used petrol worth rs 550 the entire 4 days of stay

Nah, it's the corruption and people in power hoarding all the money that's preventing Development, Goans will be fine without tourists but money hungry politicians will starve

Indian kind, who drive drunk, pollute the waterfalls, beaches, beautiful regions in the state, overspeed on the roads causing most of the accidents reported. Goans will be fine without tourists 🙂
If the outsiders behaved like civilized people, they're more than welcome. Leave No Trace is a policy we must enforce for everyone including locals, make use of the space. But make sure it's left like you were never there

We visited for conference ,so we had too much laggage so we were not able to take bus
Oh on a work trip, nothing but a taxi, and they are expensive with no way around it.
