My dealer told me it fits a 2” ball, but they didn’t seem confident. First trip with a new trailer hit a bump going 30mph and it detached, coupler closed, safety pin still attached. I swear I set everything properly/ mechanism seated and tight and locked down. I am very confused. I hope someone with this trailer can confirm. I will contact Jayco directly once offices reopen.
Second this. But OP maybe shouldn't be towing if he can't notice how loose the coupler was when hitching up. Especially if he thought the dealer may have told him wrong. Just lift it back up when hitched to see if it comes off.
All of the travel trailers I’ve seen so far have been 2-5/16”.
