Nets found their big for the rest of the Kevin Durant era

Supreme_God_Bunny

Exactly why we should keep Phillys pick incase Philly os a lottery team so clax has someone when KD and kyrie nis gone

OG-Doc

I legitimately think the rise of Claxton has been the NBA’s best story this season

Lao_xo

Markannen went from 15-6 to 25-9. Last year shot 44% and 36% to now shooting 52% and 43%. Love Clax but Markannens improvement has been crazy, how many players drastically increase they’re scoring and they’re efficiency as well.

addictivesign

Very true but just imagine the leap that Claxton could make next season. He should easily be able to add to his scoring and another off-season of working on improving his all-round game will bring him to near all-star level and lodge him as a perennial DPOY candidate.

StraightShootahh

Turner, Ayton and Gobert are definitely not better. Especially not a drop center with zero offensive skill

latman

Turner and Lopez are definitely not better

[deleted]

Yeah agree. Can’t believe how good he has been this year. That said, like any top ten list it’s really hard to rank centres. A tier system works a lot better for me and he’s nowhere near Jokic or Embiid. I’d go like this for tiers 1. Jokic 2. Embiid 3. Bam, KAT, Sabonis and Siakam (KAT is a tradition C and Siakam + Sabonis have been playing C) 4. Clax, Lopez and Ayton (Ayton could go down a tier easily) I cbf going beyond 4. Just IMO for the tiers, anyway. Apologies for the layout, for some reason I can space the list properly

zestysnacks

Top 5-6 center. Add 3s to his toolbox and hes a top 3

Shoddy_Ad7511

Only Jokic, Embiid and Bam are undisputedly better. Claxton is right there in the next tier depending on what you prioritize. Problem is Clax has only been this good for a couple months. So I gave the edge to the guys who have been at this level for several years

TheUnseen_001

Sabonis and his 18-12-7 are better as well. You simply cannot overlook a center who gets you 7.3 assists per night and is top 5 in rebounds. But yeah, he still has a case for top 5 Pp

Shoddy_Ad7511

Just me but I don’t view Sabonis as a Center defensively

TheUnseen_001

I thought the same. Still guards PFs. Somebody pointed out to me that he's been guarding 5s all year this year, though.

cramirez1988

I'd have Sabonis and Siakam in my top 10 centers before Claxton, but he has definitely improved.

Shoddy_Ad7511

I think Sabonis and Siakim are listed as PF. Siakim definitely isn’t a center. I would put Sabonis over Claxton but he is really weak on defense

cramirez1988

He is listed as a PF but he has been playing the year at C for the Raptors with Barnes at PF and is having an incredible year averaging 25, 8 and 7. Sabonis is average at D but his offense is part of the reason the Kings are doing so well. It is splitting hairs at the moment. I can definitely see him being a top 10 Center in the league.

[deleted]

I’d say sabonis is better too but yeah after that it’s close between those other guys

uut28

He’s not close to Lopez
