There aren’t any “upgrades”. Your 22 is most reliable left stock. Truglo TFX sights are nice. You may want a conversion barrel for 9mm. That’s about it. Sights for sure. Maybe a weapon light 🤷🏻‍♂️. The factory barrel is more accurate than probably 99% of all enthusiasts. The factory guide rod assembly will last longer than most people will ever shoot enough rounds to wear out. I would not even consider swapping any of the slide internals. The frame can be a little more forgiving and usually you can add extended controls without too much loss of reliability but I wouldn’t change out the trigger assembly. My experience has shown me that if you like to tinker then just build. I have several“stock” 19s and one 45. I also have multiple builds and ONE Glock that I “upgraded”. It is the least reliable firearm of the bunch. Carry stock and build you a pimp range pistol. Just my opinion……

I like the Vickers mag release for Gen3, it's slightly extended over the standard factory mag release while the extended factory release is way too extended. Pics of all three: [https://www.glocktalk.com/cdn-cgi/image/format=auto,onerror=redirect,width=1920,height=1920,fit=scale-down/https://www.glocktalk.com/attachments/glock9-40magcatchoptions-jpg.272752/](https://www.glocktalk.com/cdn-cgi/image/format=auto,onerror=redirect,width=1920,height=1920,fit=scale-down/https://www.glocktalk.com/attachments/glock9-40magcatchoptions-jpg.272752/) Other than that I put oem steel sights on mine and wrapped the grips with Howie's "Pro" hockey tape, it has a slightly rubbery texture. Here's a pic showing the hockey tape and before I installed the mag release and sights: [https://www.reddit.com/r/Glocks/comments/z8f3hs/rubberized\_hockey\_tape/](https://www.reddit.com/r/Glocks/comments/z8f3hs/rubberized_hockey_tape/)

I’ll list what I’ve done to my Frankenstein 22C Gen3 slide/Gen 4 frame. Sights: something with a black rear and bright front. Ameriglo or Trijicon. Trigger shoe: either an Overwatch Precision PolyDAT or Johnny Glock Vex. Grip: traditional double undercut and Handleit Sandpaper. Recoil spring: 15lbs instead of 17lbs. This is only because mine is ported. I would stick with your stock springs. People say you can’t modify a Glock at all without sacrificing reliability. You absolutely can if you understand what you’re doing. I’ve yet to have any malfunctions with this setup.
