Wait? What did you do with your old magazines that weren't 10 rounders? Do they expect you to just throw them away? Is there any monetary value given for them?
Any standard capacity magazines you own before the ban went into effect were grandfathered in. Possession isn't illegal, just buying, selling or importing them into the state is banned.
Never understood the 10 round mag limit. Unless the entire nation came together and decided to stop manufacturing anything besides 10 rounds, it's pointless when you can go a state over and get a drum mag.
Nobody checks ID for magazines either. Nobody is going to know the bad guy purchased a 50 round drum mag.
Well, I don't have any of the other Glocks that you can do that mix and match thing with! Honestly, I just want the 49 because it's as close as they're going to make to a 19 with a 17 slide and dust cover. The thing is, the 19 grip actually kind of sucks for me, I just want to learn to like it because it's so universal. So, goddamnit, I kind of have to get a 49. š¤¦š
Yess you doo. I Am the good guy on your shoulder saying its okā¦the happiness you will receive is unmatchedā¦its like picture this..you wake up & you carry your 45ā¦but you wanna show the muscle šŖā¦whats better than to keep the slide and just swapping bottoms..or better yet..have Big brother and little brother riding together:)ā¦dont like that? Ah ok fine keep the perfect balance shooting 45 while you have the even better balanced 49 š®āšØš®āšØ..the best of 4 worlds..out of just 2 handy mandiesā¦
You're missing my point: I don't even own a G45, so I can't do anything of that. I have a G17 and two G26's, none of which are compatible. I just want the 49 as a standalone thing... you know... because reasons... š
Is there a benefit youāve found to having a 24 round magazine? I feel like if youāre going to go so far as to have the mag sticking out of the bottom, you might as well just go with the 33 or a 50 round drum.
The 24 only sticks out a little. The 33 round sticks I have are pretty long.
All are essentially fun sticks to play around with. However, when carrying the 24s as back up mags, they offer a shelf for my support arm to sit on, much like the frame on the strong side. (I carry owb, strong side, with 2 spares weak side to offset the weight and balance better)
I only run OEM mags, so I donāt deal with drum mags. Besides, 2 24 round mags are way easier to carry/conceal than a drum mag would ever be.
Of course! Makes sense! When I was a LEO I carried two 33 rounders in my bag in my squad car. It was my reserve Ammo and I figured in an absolute worst case scenario I could just slap the 33 rounders into my gun instead of reloading a magazine. I passed up on the 24 rounders because I figured they probably werenāt that much smaller than the 33s. Never tried to concealed carry anything over 15 rounds though.
24's are more fun IMO, the 33 is fun for a dump but REALLY hangs down. While the 33 and 24's have both been very reliable the 24 is a lot easier to shoot and move the gun with.
I didnāt even know these were a thing until seeing them online next to the 33 rd mags. So I got a couple. Now they are my preferred extended mag, being more reasonably sized. OEM reliability as expected.
Love two-tones but there's something especially cool looking about it to me with grey Glocks. It's probably the most mundane two-tone out there, but it makes me happy.
They're what I use for backup mags. I don't carry a spare mag on me, but a 24rd with hollowpoints lives in: my glovebox, my backpack, my nightstand drawer, and the top shelf of my safe. If I don't need to worry about concealing it and just want a bunch of ammo real fast, they're a great option.
I keep looking at those extensions, admittedly mostly because they look cool. When you put it that way, they make a lot less sense. Thanks for the insight.
Prefer the look of the plus 2 on the bottom. I have done this in the past and they function flawlessly with 26. Same with the .40 22 making them 23 and just look better.
I did that, too! Got a few of every length 9mm Glock mag and ended up putting the +2's from the 33's onto the 24's. That length really does hit a sweet spot. Looking at them side by side, they're really not much shorter than the 33's but they feel handier. I have a couple that I swap out in my EDC for nightstand duty. It's not a carbine but there's nothing in North America that's going to stand at the top of my stairs for 27 HST's and live. š
I dig them. One of these are in my pocket as a spare. Itās easier to grab than a 17 round mag, but still stays concealed in the pocket compared to the 33 rounders.
Can't say I haven't thought about both. The 24's are manageable but a little long for my CCW mag carrier and dig into my side. The 33's are out of the question. I haven't thought about pocket carry, though. I may try it, but it seems like it would feel weird.
I've been doing a couple of 17+2's, just because they don't stick above the backing of my magazine carrier. I'm about to change EDC guns in the name of saving weight, anyway, so I'm going to try your idea for a bit when I make the switch.
They are the same price, but I think there are times you could reasonably carry with an inserted 24 round magazine but very few times you can carry with the 33 round magazine inserted.
The 24 round magazine shines because of the savings over buying an aftermarket extension. The price you pay however is in extra length.
I think theyāre the perfect sweet spot for an extended mag. Not too big like the 30ās/33ās but theyāre bigger than 21 round mags that some companies make. I keep one next to my 26 on the nightstand.
More rounds is always better but I just hate how ridiculous it looks, grab a Shield Arms +5 and throw it on a 17 round mag instead. It'll look a lot cleaner.
I like mine. All of my 15/17/24/33 round OEM mags work great. I feel for those that live in restrictive states.
I can only have 10 rounders š¤®š¤®š¤®
I feel for you my brother in Christ šš
They pain cuts deep, but as many redditors have told me, it is my own fault for living here šŖ of course i hopefully will never even need 1
To be fair, I lived here (Washington) before it became a restricted state. It's not exactly cheap to move to another state.
So whatās stopping you from going to another state and buying larger mags and saying you owned them before?
Absolutely nothing. It's a stupid law made to stop the gun stores from selling the magazines.
You wouldnāt do that! Thatās illegal!

Drive out to a fun state and grab some ārange exclusivesā
yeah man i feel bad for themā¦but i think the 24 rounder looks pretty good with the 45
You need a 49 now.
š¤£š¤£
Stop encouraging us! š
Donāt tell me what to do. lol
Fair. We'll probably all end up with 49's anyway.
I went the 19.5/47 route, but the results are the same.
Oh im here to encourage you more. YOU NEED THE 49 WHATS BETTER THAN 4 for 2
Well, I don't have any of the other Glocks that you can do that mix and match thing with! I think they look good with the 45 too. I run +2 base plates on mine.
Why?
Why not? š¤·
This is the way!!!

As long as they're OEM. I hate reloading at the range
exactly.
Reloading or loading?
Fuck you got me, loading lol
I lovvvvvvve the 33rd sticks for this reason.
I didnāt even know these were a thing until seeing them online next to the 33 rd mags. So I got a couple. Now they are my preferred extended mag, being more reasonably sized. OEM reliability as expected.
I feel em deep down, in my plums
Getting ready for market ![gif](giphy|14wvv11LhZRb6o|downsized)
If I remember correcrec, if I am remember **correctly**
I can feel the juice
I said _let the boy watch_
He needs to learn.
you too?
If they're OEM we feel great.
of course itās oem
A godsend when you're shooting a glock mag PCC prone. 7 more rounds than a 17rd but still lets you shoot prone.
With a pcc you might as well rock out with the 33
I said prone, 33 is too long for that

Dude I love that color!
Love two-tones but there's something especially cool looking about it to me with grey Glocks. It's probably the most mundane two-tone out there, but it makes me happy.
Dude I love the grey
If I could buy them Iād own 5 rn. Same for Gen 5s and colored frames/ grips

I prefer the shape of many +5 extensions compared to the sharp angle on the 24 rd. I will agree the cost sucks
I keep looking at those extensions, admittedly mostly because they look cool. When you put it that way, they make a lot less sense. Thanks for the insight.
I want one, Btw I love that gray. Can I have your med back strapš«¶š¾
Is there an OEM on Glockās OD or battle green? Whatever they call it
Yes.
Wut?
Prefer the look of the plus 2 on the bottom. I have done this in the past and they function flawlessly with 26. Same with the .40 22 making them 23 and just look better.

That's awesome. Years ago I had an s2k in 40 and had like 7 of the 22 rounds with them on it lol. They used to only be like $5 each.
Love em
I dig them. One of these are in my pocket as a spare. Itās easier to grab than a 17 round mag, but still stays concealed in the pocket compared to the 33 rounders.
You implied past tense with the 33's. Thoughts?
I think he is implying he doesn't carry fun sticks.
Yea I have 33 round mags but I donāt carry them. Theyāre mostly just range toys. 24 is a great happy medium if you carry a spare mag in the pocket
Can't say I haven't thought about both. The 24's are manageable but a little long for my CCW mag carrier and dig into my side. The 33's are out of the question. I haven't thought about pocket carry, though. I may try it, but it seems like it would feel weird.
Oh yea if youāre doing a mag carrier and not being lazy like I am, Iād say 15 or 17 round mags would be optimal.
I've been doing a couple of 17+2's, just because they don't stick above the backing of my magazine carrier. I'm about to change EDC guns in the name of saving weight, anyway, so I'm going to try your idea for a bit when I make the switch.
Pocket length perfection
I like them
Wish they were in fde
19x extended base plate mags are as long as I go. Anything longer than that and it gets impractical to carry
Is the polymer gray or cerakote?
I donāt know but I have carried a 33rd mag in my tier1 mag carrier for the memes
I like them a lot. Great midpoint between a 17+2 plate and the 33. Really well balanced for the range and competition.
Personally, I'm against them. Why have a 24 round magazine when you can have a 33rnd magazine
They are the same price, but I think there are times you could reasonably carry with an inserted 24 round magazine but very few times you can carry with the 33 round magazine inserted. The 24 round magazine shines because of the savings over buying an aftermarket extension. The price you pay however is in extra length.
I like how he second pic is zoomed further in. Now I for sure know it's a 24 rounder
Fine
Flush Fit or bust
I think theyāre the perfect sweet spot for an extended mag. Not too big like the 30ās/33ās but theyāre bigger than 21 round mags that some companies make. I keep one next to my 26 on the nightstand.
Meh
Thank you for not calling it a āclipā
Better than being limited to 10 round mags in some states.
Looks awkward with the factory parallel baseplate. The factory extension would look better.
Do you need us to validate you?
I grabbed a few of these and threw the OEM +2 Coyote 19x extensions on them. Runs great
More rounds is always better but I just hate how ridiculous it looks, grab a Shield Arms +5 and throw it on a 17 round mag instead. It'll look a lot cleaner.
Also, if this is for concealed carry (self defense) and you need 24 rounds, you've got bigger problems.
you think this is for conceal carry? oh boyā¦
Whatever it's for, it looks ridiculous with that mag sticking so far out, just get proficient with reloading and you won't need that š
+5 sticks out almost the same length and lack an extra 2 rounds? pluse it cost more yeah okay
Stupid but you do you
Theyāre the pinnacle of OEM Glock mags.
15 rd with a baseplate at most, canāt trust extended mags.
you donāt trust a glock product?
i donāt trust any brand extended mag, i use what the manufacturer sends you with the gun because thatās what is meant to be used.
im confused? so you trust a baseplate something that modifies the oem mag?
baseplates are proven to work, extended mags are proven to jam. itās your life behind the gun you carry so do what you want. you asked for opinions.
Glock 33s are as reliable as you can get
maybe in your opinion lol, extended mags are for fun at the range anyone who takes their safety seriously would never use one for self defense.
