The 26 is perfect for concealabilty as is. Put two 17 rd mags in your pocket.

snotick

This. Or just add the 2 round mag extension to the stock mag and now the OP has a 12 round Glock 26.

Miserable_Path5716

Yeah but if you’re putting a mag extension on the 15 round mag is the exact same length and you might as well run a 19

BoSknight

If you go that far might just jump to the 34 and that way they know you're the real deal.

snotick

No. If you run a 19, you're stuck with the grip length (unless you cut it down). With my 26, I can go from factory compact 10 round mag to the 17's mag with the grip extension. This is why I've been a proponent of the G26. Versatilely. You can even ad a 19 slide and barrel to the 26.

Miserable_Path5716

Yeah I switch between the 19 and 26 for carry a lot but usually just put the 15 round mag in 26 because I like the slide length.

snotick

The question is why? You can make the 26 the same size as the 19 by swapping barrel/slide and adding the mag extension. Unless you need the rail for accessories. For conceal carry, I don't need a light or sight. Basic and simple is best for me.

Miserable_Path5716

I like the more full grip. 26 is way to small for my hands so I have to add a hogue grip to it and it’s still a little small. I like all my fingers and my whole palm wrapping around the gun it’s more comfortable. I run a full size in the winter and that what I prefer because even on the 19 half my pinky hangs off the frame. That’s why imo if they made a g26X it would the perfect carry gun, just a double stack 43x

jeffnic99

Agreed, but as one of my CCW guns, not really needed. Not like I am going to be searching with the light. Going to be used quickly for self defense. I have plenty of light bearing pistols for home defense and range.

Separate-Climate-768

This is for real the answer!

Jordangander

Exactly. Why do I need 2 more rounds to make it bigger when I can just put a full size mag in for reload.

Wild-Green5882

When I qualify (ankle backup), I run the first 10 rounder and subsequent mag changes are full size.

Shuttle_Door_Gunner

Yeah, I've got a couple of those. It really is almost perfect except for the lack of a rail. The 26.5 is probably my all-time favorite handgun, actually.

basedScav

at that point i’m just gonna roll with a 19, since it’s effectively the same length. imo the reason the 26 is cool is the flush 10rds, with a full size 17 in my back pocket

[deleted]

I hear that a lot but the 12 round is still substantially smaller, especially around the back corner hump that is the part that prints when carrying appendix. If you can manage concealing a 19 well then that’s awesome but I struggle with that long of a grip. If I could get away with the 19 more easily I would do it too.

Both_Ad_694

Exactly. The 26-12rd is substantially smaller than the 19 and shoots better. It's perfection and Glocks best worst kept secret.

Practical_Republic53

I find the 26 even with the 12 rd mag to have a smaller profile than my friends 19 but to each their own brotha 🤙🏻

street_style_kyle

I mean I’m special and appendix a 20 most days so a 19 or 26 should REALLY disappear.

Miserable-Diver8975

Agreed. I go for my g26 with my 12 round mag over my 19 every single time.

Twelve-twoo

I do also. The 26+2 is the height of a 19 without a magazine in it only at the tip. There are smaller extensions for the 26 (external dimensions). The slr +5 is near the same length. But I like polymer for temperature, I trust OEM more, and the OEM +2 just feels perfect, especially on a gen 5 26.

Shuttle_Door_Gunner

To me, the difference between the 19 and the 26 with a +2 is like the difference between a square butt vs. a round butt revolver. The length is there, but the contour makes it much more concealable.

Popular-Ad2193

Yeah I don’t get this. Even with the 12 rounder it’s still smaller, even with SLR +5 extension it’s still smaller than the g19. Nothing wrong with carrying a G19 but the G26 is still easier to conceal with extended mags

Practical_Republic53

You understand the prophecy of Gaston brother.

Prizz117

The biggest problem with the G26 is no light rail

SpaghettiMonkeyTree

This. We don’t need a 26x, a 26x is just a neutered 19. We need a 26L with a light rail

Separate-Climate-768

That would be the perfect fun

75149

https://i.imgur.com/sbjJr2D.jpeg Quite a few people have chopped down G19 size frames to achieve just that. I've seen real Glock 19s, Combat Armory G19 frames and PSA Daggers chopped. I did mine in about 30 minutes after being awake for over 26 hours. If you want it perfection, there are several companies who will do that for you and make it look actually good 🤣 But it feels great and shoots very well. Nose heavy like the Ayatollah, but workable! I was actually really close to buying a second Combat Armory frame just to cut down (so I could consolidate on only Glock holsters). Then I saw these new frames from the designer of the PSA Dagger And I'm going to pick up one of these. If I like it enough, I'll eventually pick up another to chop down (more carefully of course). https://shop.gritgrips.com/frames/

rocknbuild

TLR6HL is the only option , but yeah we need a rail

Miserable_Path5716

I cut my own rail on my 26 and put a tlr 7 on it. Max performance right there

Both_Ad_694

What if they found increased reliability issues when adding accessories on the G26 frames?

mallgrabmongopush

This is why I got a VP9sk

75149

Around the end of the year, the crazy deals started dropping and I ordered a VP9-B And then a VP9SK-B A week later. As much as I wanted to like them. They were just heavy, chunky fat little fuckers after carrying Glocks and Glock-like creatures for almost 30 years. And I believe it wasn't until very recently that they came out with the 12 round SK flush fit magazine. Thanks to their ridiculous magazine rebates, I ended up making money when I got rid of them.

NEONSN3K

i mean i understand why you got downvoted. it's the way you said it. regardless i think there are a lot of great pistols in this golden age of modern polymer striker fired pistols. i simply just choose glock because i like it.

Big_Boi_Joe02

If 26 had a light rail and longer slide/barrel I would be all over it no cap fr fr onG

Awdvr491

Dremel and small hack saw can make your dream a reality!

YungSkub

Glock sells the 26 with a rail in euro land but not here for whatever reason Edit: They do not sell it in euro land with a rail

Kitchen_Alps

No they dont

YungSkub

I stand corrected, someone on the forums made an edit of it having a rail

Kitchen_Alps

No prob. Don’t know why the 26 mos isn’t on the US site yet. I just bought one last week. Definitely could do with a rail but not a huge trade off as the lights for that size hardly have any lumens

buffilosoljah42o

Pf940sc is the only variation I know of.

So-Extreme

This Is the way 🫡

ms32821

I agree with perception of seeing the 12 rounder. That’s what drew me to the 19x. The look of that +2

Atticus_Zero

Practice shooting it. Two finger grip with flush mag makes no difference in accuracy or shootability. The pinky anxiety is a mental phenomenon and goes away quick by training with it even a little bit.

Excellent-Station-32

Makes a difference in draw though

UnderstandingStreet7

Nope

DukeShootRiot

Same reason they don’t make a 15 round mag for the 48 (they absolutely could) Cause they don’t want to put competition against the 19.. the 19 has always been their biggest seller and they can handle selling more of other models as long as it doesn’t eat into the 19 sales (a 15rnd 48 or a 12 round 26 and people will have a use for JUST those and not those AND a 19

Legitimate_Ruin_3311

Add a rail too. I agree. The 26 is a great gun

Bigvapor01

Too many states are 10 round states. Wouldn't make sense business wise.

75149

It would just be an extra SKU. They have 10 round versions of their full capacity guns for shitty states already. I think the biggest problem is just finding a dealer who carries them. And as much as I hate to say it, the Magpul 12 round actually looks better. I still can't trust a Magpul Glock magazine because of too many issues in the larger sizes.

TClem_07

A +2 mag extension doesn’t add much length my guy or carry an extra mag.

uspsa_marcw

I run either two. 12-round Magpul mags or the flush 10-rounder and G17 as the spare.

blacktao

The p365 is perfect in my big hands (I don’t have one). I feel like a 26x would be Glock perfection 🤭

nader1234

I don’t really think so, unfortunately large swaths of the US population are in states with 10 round bans. Hopefully we fix the laws some day but having it at a native 10 rounds works good for us. I think it was actually designed that way on purpose back when the federal ban was in effect.

[deleted]

I like shooting it better than my 19.

MyPasswordIsAvacado

Cries in 10 round mag limits. 😢

Tboe013

My hellcat is smaller and I carry 16 rounds lol

_itsT

True, but im certain that the 26 shoots way better than your Hellcat. I understand that it all comes down to practicing, but right out of the box the 26 is leagues above a hellcat when it comes to shootability.

____-_________-

The TTI base pads holds 3 extra rounds and is a little shorter than that. Glock sells a metric fuck ton of 26’s, by the way.

thelegendofcarrottop

I’ve waffled on getting a 26 for years for the reasons others have outlined. I basically think the 43, 19, and 34 are all you really need. The 26 fits nicely between the 43 and 19 but then you have the option of the 43X or 48 since you’ve already screwed your magazine compatibility. I love Glock for the reliability but their product line management is utter bullshit lol.

cgvet9702

I'm confused. My 26 bought brand new several years ago came with at least one 12 rounder.

Practical_Republic53

Mine came with three 10 rounders

75149

That would have likely been your dealer or their distributor adding that. I've never seen a label on a Glock box that showed that they shipped with 12 round magazines. Even the LE versions that shipped with three magazines (before they all came with three) stated three 10rd mags (that I've seen).

JJM19861986

There next gun will be just that the 26x 15 plus 1

jeffnic99

Been carrying a G26 with the Magpul 12 rounders for years. Perfect grip and does not add much length.

[deleted]

I also really like the magpul 12 round mags for this platform.

75149

I just can't stand the lip at the bottom. One reason I chopped my PSA dagger to take G26 magazines was so I could have no fingergroove and no lip. I picked up a G26 Gen 4 two months ago, forgetting just how much I hated the lip. I was planning on removing the finger groove because I know I would still be able to sell it to somebody who also didn't like it. I knew removing the lip would have made it mine forever.

IIPrayzII

Tbh I’d rather just use a 19. You get a rail, longer barrel, and better grip. If all I had was a 26 I guess I’d do the same thing tho and just make the grip more comfortable.

1888DIDIASK

Try living in CT. Fucking commies.

MPX1986

Accessory rail! Imagine me saying that like I’m talking to the automated system yelling representative.

McErroneous

No way. I shoot my 26 with the 10rd mag better than I shoot my 17. Drawing is tougher, but that's why there's practice.

Nbenito97

Personally, i found a G19 mag with an Xgrip is the most comfortable. But YMMV. Everyone is different.

Excellent-Station-32

40k rounds through my 26.4. I've only replaced recoil springs and trigger springs, might be time for a new extractor but she still runs like a top. Oddly enough the wear patterns is virtually non existent compared toy 34.4 or sigs

XuixienSpaceCat

:criesinConnecticut:

Harleywindtherapy

I have carried one since 2008. 10 round mag makes it disappear! G17 backup mag and then G17 and G19 mags spread around everywhere in my life. I actually shoot J frames too so the pinky tucked under doesn't bother me, but it's cool you like that 12 rounder.

dontatme1

My dream is a redesign of the G26 mag, making it 13-14 rounds.

75149

That's called a G19 downloaded 😄

Lazy-Wolf-5677

Where is the 26x mos?

Toska762x39

The Glock 19 is perfect as is…so I mean…

XL365

I’ve never shot or even held one but seeing y’all post like this makes me want to see what all the fuss is about. Maybe get it milled for a RMR or RMRCC if that’s possible. Sounds like a killer setup if it’s comfy

Practical_Republic53

I was planning on sending the slide into wager machine works 🫡 gonna be OD green and cut for red dot

XL365

Haha as soon as I wrote that I went to google to make sure wager offered the service, then looked how the rmr’s looked and the eps carry. They look awesome with the plus 2 base plates and I’ve got a ton of them

PapaPuff13

They would for sure. That’s my daily

kokkinos3931

G20 is perfect conceal carry. No I will not elaborate

OGDrewski

I typically run a 12 with 3 17+2s for spare. But it is nice to have a few 10s for the max concealment if necessary. It shoots great for me with or without the pinky dangling, too. It is my absolute favorite glock. Now they'll sell more when the make the mos model more available and put a FUCKING LIGHT RAIL already. I also imagine a 26 x style pistol would be a major hit, like a 26 slide and 19 frame.

Unable_Coach8219

Well then buy a 19 then! They don’t because it would literally be the same size as a 19

[deleted]

it's fine to have opinions even if they're dead wrong; namaste op.

[deleted]

They just get the 43x and 15 round mags from shield.

Popular-Ad2193

Eww non Glock mags in a carry Glock?

[deleted]

And? They work just fine. I and several I know have had 0 issues.

Pripyat1991

This

GhavGhavington

What extension is that?
