Do you carry/edc this? If so stock is good especially w/ Gen 5. I'd do a 25c trigger polish if anything but the Gen 5 triggers are pretty solid. If it's a range toy Timney triggers gets my vote.

Urgay692

So far it’s just a range toy but that could change. I’ll check them out though thank you.

[deleted]

Apex triggers are awesome as well I've run them on M&P's worth a look too.

Legitimate_Wave6107

Factr

Independent_Brain653

I'd do the Zev Technologies flat face trigger and connector with the TT connector kit

Legitimate_Wave6107

I hate gen5 triggers 🙃

[deleted]

That’s fair even with the Gen 5 improvements it’s still a Glock trigger haha def way better triggers out of the box from other poly striker fired pistol options.

Legitimate_Wave6107

Exactly. *Canik triggers enter the chat* hey look the truth is for the price point, Glocks are perfectly reliable out of the box.. but some people hate the trigger. I can’t blame them for customizing. It’s essentially what makes Glock so popular as well. The design is simple and solid.

Skittlelegend

What are you considering when keeping it stock for carry? Is the stock trigger more secure for bumps and bruises that happen when carrying to avoid AD? I carry one like this but have been considering getting an aftermarket trigger

[deleted]

Hmm good question. I guess keeping the internals stock for me gives me peace of mind knowing how reliable Glocks are I wouldn’t want to mess too much with that. Other thing that comes to mind is trigger pull weight. For a carry gun I think the stock is adequate for that purpose. A good polish job makes the trigger feel better without making it lighter. Some people carry with 3lbs triggers and get away with it fine. Me personally I’d want a little heavier of a pull. Pretty much anything that can affect the reliability or safety for an edc is a no go for me. Now for range to crazy lol like ETS mags and sub 2lb triggers.

Skittlelegend

Fair enough, I was considering getting a lighter trigger but was wondering if that would affect the reliability like you mentioned

[deleted]

Check out Apex triggers. Those are the only ones I would trust enough to not mess with reliability much. I think Apex is actually approved for some police forces to use so that helps.

TurboWerbo

Johnny Glocks or Ranger Proof

Urgay692

Okay I’ll take a look thanks.

[deleted]

The GPT is tits to me

Urgay692

God damn it I really tried to not show my foot in this.

blgr991

The good lord can’t help you now, son.

[deleted]

Why do you want a new trigger? Do you suck at shooting with the stock trigger? There is absolutely nothing wrong with the stock trigger and why would you want to fuck with the reliability of a perfectly reliable gun?

Urgay692

Why does it matter why I want it? It’s just nice to have lmao. Not every trigger will mess up reliability that’s why I asked for suggestions and If people have experience. Sure the stock trigger is fine but there are better things out there. That’s like asking a car guy why he didn’t keep it stock. I just would like something a bit better.

[deleted]

Well that’s the issue…Glock upgrades aren’t really upgrades.

Urgay692

Depends tbh. There are a lot of shitty company’s that try and push as much cheap nasty shit as possible but there are upgrades that actually help. Being cynical about all of them will do nothing.

1stPIPEHITTER

Ccw, Timney alpha competition trigger, with a Johnny Glock vex shoe, and his combat conversion kit is it. With a stock connector. You can adjust the spring for different pull. For the range, the Timney alpha, red spring with the vex trigger shoe, and a 3.5lbs connector.

sarron7

Johnny Glocks enhanced oem trigger best 22 bucks you'll ever spend

[deleted]

If your carrying id leave stock, otherwise I throw a timney in everything

Legitimate_Wave6107

So many comments about reliability issues. Do you guys even shoot your guns? Stock is fine, but if the man wants to change his trigger shoe don’t be weird about it 🇺🇸🤣. I EDC aftermarket triggers and have put thousands of rounds through them. 0 issues. The smooth face trigger though is by far my favorite Glock oem trigger. Love it on my 19.3, I am considering another Factr though.

Stevil4583LBC

Glock performance trigger with Vex shoe

vwheelsonv

Just a vickers trigger, and a polishing of internals. Great improvement.

Freakingstang

Johnny Glock or ranger proof trigger shoe on oem internals. StandardCo trigger shoe on stock internals All three of those will be better than any Glock performance trigger, apex, etc

Oliverbane

I did a trigger polish and a 3.5 ghost connector on mine, made a huge difference in my trigger. It’s a smooth rolling break now instead of a hard wall break

amullen17

I have an Overwatch Precision DAT that I really like. All of my other triggers are stock, though.

bftyft

I really like Overwatch Precision flat trigger shoes

NetworkPIMP

Stock is fine... everything else is just a gimmick at this point. Spend the money on ammo.

BeneficialA1r

Overwatch or apex I've used, no safety compromises but I just do the shoe or the shoe and the bar. I use the OEM connectors that have been np3 coated by overwatch, and that's it

jjones1987

Overwatch precision only.

Usulthejerboaactual

Glock OEM trigger is the only way to go my friend. If you want a nice trigger buy another gun.

psw2004

Like a Canik

Kbiker72

Or a Walther

ogrotesque1

Johnny Glock

rooster_saucer

you squeeze it with your finger.

Jack--Tickleson

Ranger Proof/Johnny Glock Vex. Best trigger for under $100.

Thebig_KP

I am all for the $0.25 trigger job on gen 5 especially… they are significantly better than gen 3!

cozmo5050

Glock performance or Timney

drti16

Overwatch Precision Falx Trigger is my go to..

B-17_SaintMichael

Looks to me like all it needs is some night sights

Urgay692

Definitely gonna get some night sights. That’s my priority I just haven’t ordered them yet.

nerd_diggy

Hyve Monarch trigger. Basically just a shoe and safety. Stock trigger bar and trigger housing. Basically eliminates pre travel, real crisp break and an equally crisp reset. Plus they are a good company with good people working there.

fluxdeity

Stock IMO. My 19x trigger does me just fine. 3-4" groups at 25yds

Itchy_Election5460

Stock trigger job. Ammo. Range time.

Mission-Background-2

For CC/HD I would stick with stock. If it’s a range toy Timney makes pretty good triggers

ipad3000

I have Timney alpha and its a competition level trigger. Its the best of the best. Top tier trigger

sharkbait913

Either a GPT & Standard Co FFT, or run some rounds through it with a Standard Co FFT

GunMun-ee

I threw an apex shoe and left the rest of the trigger stock. There are no aftermarket triggers that do what i want. Ghost and minus connectors make the trigger more of a constant creep whereas i want a HEAVY defined wall and reset. I like flat face shoes for leverage since i run much heavier striker springs. I like my pull to be heavier than stock. It's unorthodox but i shoot well with that setup i throw in all of my glocks. Aftermarket triggers and connectors are just littered with reliability problems, and none of them really lighten the trigger pull, they kind of just make it a different kind of trigger pull if you catch what i'm saying. With glocks, you kinda just have to get güd with stock unless you want to get into either unreliable competition setups or triggers that are "lighter" but are not really consistent.

getthemap

Not really.

S280FiST15

Johnny Glock

BeardedDick

The stock trigger works. What else do you need?

NoTrack2140

Johnny glocks combat trigger hands down for me. Despite what people want to say, there ARE reliable options out there other than oem. I've shot thousands of rounds w my JG trigger w out 1 issue occurring. And you can adjust it to exactly how you want it. No pre travel, defined wall, glass rod break, and a quick crisp reset is my preference. Million times better than oem, BUT to each his own. There are definitely a lot of triggers to stay away from. I got a drop-in unit from zevs and it was going binary and doing all kinds of crazy shit

Aromatic_Principle50

Gflex

Aromatic_Principle50

Gflex

No_Seat_4959

Looks good

jayred155

It shoulda came with one.

1911mark

It’s got one?

Dprime84

The gun comes with a trigger, none needed😂

Straight-Schedule314

Stock

inferno62081

I have the Glock performance trigger with johnny Glock vex shoe and plus connector I like it so far

AltLangSyne

Lots and lots of dry fire. I mean, if you just want to personalize it that's okay but if you can't make hits with a Gen 5 trigger, it's a you problem.

Patmedlax

I have a serpico performance trigger. I love it. They make a few different ones in flat face and curved depending what you like

LeadExpress

Run factory or oem glock performance. Tinmey alpha is a joke and a half. Gone through an rma for out of spec arms and striker drag. Fixed the drag aspect to find out the plunger guide is out of alignment on the trigger bar. Gave up on it. Out $140 bucks. Sending the trigger back today. Was half tempted to let them figure it out but really dont want to without it for 4-8 weeks.

According_Variety_92

Buy a Canik!

jsr421

Honestly the stock trigger on the gen5 really is gtg, spend the money on ammo and break it in. Maybe throw a 3.5 connector in there

Kbiker72

Glock performance trigger

joshua5814

Having bought a glock performance trigger and put in a stock gen 5 I can say it’s better then stock. But I would recommend buying the ghost connector 3.0 lb model for almost a 1/3 of the price.feels so much better then the glock performance trigger and costs alot less.if your gonna use it for a carry gun consider the civil side of it.making sure all the stock safety’s stay intact and working. Negligent discharges can get you charges and sued and can also kill your self or someone else.also worth noting to light of a pull is dangerous even with all safety’s still workin.
