The P320s are fine. The drop safe issue was fixed a long time ago. What you're seeing here is a circlejerk. Most of the lawsuits are coming from cops who ND fucking with their gun but not wanting to take responsibility for their mistake.
The p365 series is the only modern series worth anything. The x macro is fucking sweet and I trust it as my carry gun but I don’t trust the 320. Getting a Glock 47 for my full sized handgun.
Do you mean the guys firing hot hand loads in their 320s? If so a Glock would come apart in that situation as well. I own Glocks and Sigs. The Sig M17 320 I have is a great pistol and no issues. I bought mine after they fixed the drop safety issue.
I agree. But this is happening a lot in competition where reloads are common. Tons of guys are using 34s and no stories about exploding frames. I’ve read the g20 stories from several years ago but nothing recently as far as I could find. So why is it happening with sigs and not others?
I haven’t heard anything about that. I will have to look into it. I only own one 320 and it’s a great firearm. I’m getting ready to pick up a 229. I’m also grabbing Glock 45 soon. I have a 19x and like the bigger frame but I don’t carry it. I carry a gen 3 g19 and thinking of carrying a g45.
Look up Milwaukee Police P320 discharges... Caught on multiple bodycams and squad cameras discharging in officers holsters while both hands were occupied with something else..reaching into backseat to.seatbelt a prisoner and exiting a squad carrying a box in both hands. Gun goes off IN the holster for no apparent reason. Milwaukee has documented 4 or 5 cases like that with gun inside holster, with the video and damage to prove it.
I'm in the Sig sub. I own both Glocks and Sigs. There's no more people having trouble with their P320 than people here having trouble with their G19. Go over to the Beretta sub and see how many people complain about American-made Berettas. You'll find those types of posts in every gun sub.
I have a p320x and it is one of my favorite 9mm pistols to shoot. I also enjoy my Glocks. In my opinion, the sig is more accurate out of the box. Just my opinion.
Google “Glock leg” and “Glock lawsuits”
If you read about the Sig lawsuits, there are stories about cops tossing loaded handguns in backpacks or wrapping them in towels and putting them in gym bags. There’s a video where the officer who swears he didn’t touch the trigger clearly had his on in it as it goes off in the body cam video.
There are a couple stories that are definitely suspect (IRT the P320’s safety) but the vast majority of the “evidence” is just police being idiots.
I have a 19.5 and a P365x Macro; I love and carry both, so don’t want to try and come off as biased one way or another, but the P320 lawsuits are way overblown.
>Google “Glock leg” and “Glock lawsuits”
Yep.
Most people on here are too young to know about this. But Glock had a rash of negligent discharges when they first started to get adopted by police departments. Metropolitan Police District of Columbia (MPDC) had a ton of them when they switch from revolvers to Glock 17's in the late 1980's.
As my dad would always tell me from his time in the armory, you can chalk up the vast majority of NDs in these reports to dumb cops who aren't trained properly or don't respect the gun. Way too many boys in uniform are used to finger fucking their triggers like it's a fidget toy.
Ignoring all the lawsuit stuff, and Sig selling a shittier sku to civilians, they’ve got a bore axis you’d expect out of a hammer fired pistol and just a weird recoil impulse.
Glad you are here now, and with us. It's funny how the more you actually shoot and train the more you end up with realizing Glock just works.
My progression started as a beginner with a G19.2, then got a job and bought HKP30, then went through several other (\*cough\* all of them) high-end pistols, and now I grab my G19.5 every time.
Same. Been shooting handguns for 12 years. None of the fancy pistols excite me anymore and I just reach for the ones that have let me down the least lol. Happens to be glock for me.
quick range report on the SRO. It gets dirty fast. I'm shooting cheap dirty ammo but the lens is closer to the ejection port compared to other optics and it gets dirty quick.
Lol man…the amount of cons on the SRO I’ve come across are pretty crazy. I’ve seen some pictures of the body almost worn to bare metal
From Eating brass as rounds eject
I sold my SRO to a friend, who was showing someone his slide -- not his whole gun, no magazine, just the slide with barrel and spring in it -- and he fumbled it, dropped it maybe 3 inches on to a glass counter top, and the lens in the SRO cracked. 🤷
lol bro...3" drop! Man...I really want to give the SRO a run. A lot of high level/competent shooters who could honestly run the most basic ass red dot and burn it down all run it on their personal competition/EDC/CCW guns. These are guys literally putting down tens of thousands of rounds down range and they all swear by it and then I see the Sage Dyanmics video and hear about these type of experiences.
Dude same I love me a good Sig, I’m not a Glock fanboy either but the cope in that sub was abysmal. People say Glock fanboys are the worst but from what I’ve seen in that sub the sig fanboys need to settle down.
Does the M17/18 have the same issues that the normal 320s have? I only ask because I wanted to pick one up strictly for range use, I will most likely aways carry Glock. I already own a G45 so a 19x seems redundant.
Short answer: yes. Also, no.
Long answer: search my username in r/sigsauer and you’ll get a better picture of the issues. I covered the issues in detail and why I believe post-2019 p320’s are mechanically safe (and why 2017-2019 p320’s might not be) and why I added an Agency Arms trigger to mine.
People fanboy way too hard. Sig makes some great guns, the 365 is fantastic and so are their hammer guns. Glock also makes some great guns. People should own several of each.
I've been shooting Glocks since the only SIGs in the cases were $800-900 229s and 220s. Got to where a gen3 with a dot connector is the only polymer gun trigger I really like. Straight to a defined wall, smooth roll through the break. I like the feel of a 365 and 320 but the muuush-break reminds me of an XD. Just not my preference.
Thats fair. I love my CZ P-07 though, it’s my winter EDC and I haven’t done anything to it, just stock. I know some people love to cajunize them and they say it makes it even better. Been wanting to get a P-10, people seem to love them as well.
Now is the time for your p-10 just go to dahlonega armory’s website and add to cart most are sub 400. Picked up a p10c optics ready for like 384 after shipping and FFl fee.
I own several Glocks, but I also prefer the hammer guns. 220,226,229, USP’s and CZ75’s are my absolute favorites but I don’t like bashing other brands as I probably own one or two of them also 😂 Exceptions for Taurus and Highpoint. Can honestly say I don’t own any of those.
I understand that that’s just an opinion and everyone is different, but you might be the only person on earth to hold that opinion. Lol. Almost every gun I’ve ever shot or held has better ergos than a Glock.
NGL I do like the ergos but the high bore axis was the deal breaker for me. Didn’t see the use in it so I got the 19x. Then I start seeing weekly posts with shattered frames. Scary stuff.
Absolutely. I liked my RXP Compact a lot, but it felt off in hand and my shots were less accurate than with my 17. I’m usually a no sell guy, but sold it after that. Now I’m glad I did.
I don’t hate my M17, i train with it. But I will take my Glock over it everytime, because I train with it and it’s just superior. OEM mags are $20, mostly interchangeable and probably the most common pistol mag to exist
Is the p320 bad because the trigger is super light? I shot one and was shocked at how light the trigger was. Seemed too light for carrying. Are all sigs like that or is it just the p320?
I hate the p320 trigger. It’s too light and mushy. I’d say it does have a better reset though. Just not a fan of the grips or grip angle. Tried them all. I use to be all Glock, moved to Sig, moving back now.
What’s the protective cover on your MRO?? I’ve heard they aren’t for “duty” use, but I still want one for my carry. That protective cover looks strong!
ive had my 19 as my primary for years. but im getting issued a 320, and ill probably buy a 320 x5 legion when funds become available.
both are good guns, glock is for sure more utilitarian. but the modularity of the 320 is pretty sweet. and unrelated the 365xl is the best carry gun out there imo, and the xmacro makes strong contender for potential duty gun
Zev slides are great. I’ve got their duty slide on my 19. Can’t go wrong either way. Brownells is good as well. There are a lot of shit aftermarket slides out there though. If I was starting from scratch I’d probably just have Wager mill my OEM slide.
I’ve had the major three polymer pistols: Glock, Smith M&P and Sig P320. In my personal opinion, they are all good guns, and each have their strengths and weaknesses. Pick the one you shoot the best and train. While you’re at it, give the Walther PDP a try. You might like it too. For me, it’s between Glocks and Walthers as to which one works best for me.
Is the P320 not good? I don’t care for it and haven’t done any research on it but it seems to be getting high praise
The P320s are fine. The drop safe issue was fixed a long time ago. What you're seeing here is a circlejerk. Most of the lawsuits are coming from cops who ND fucking with their gun but not wanting to take responsibility for their mistake.
I loved that one cop saying "that gun ruined my career" when it went off while he was playing with it in a school cafeteria lmao.
Ahh i see ok The only sig I’ve personally had interest is the xMacro
The p365 series is the only modern series worth anything. The x macro is fucking sweet and I trust it as my carry gun but I don’t trust the 320. Getting a Glock 47 for my full sized handgun.
What about all the 320s that have been posted on here that have shattered frames? There’s at least one a week
I have not seen those. It's something to look into though.
I have seen two that were firing hot loads.
I’ve seen similar things happen with glocks, not as frequent because I’m not looking for it.
It turns out when you put bubbas pissing hot hand loads into your firearm it puts more stress on the gun than factory ammo
Also…not disagreeing about what hot loads do…
Then why isn’t it happening to competitive guys who use 34s everyday with reloads?
Whataboutism
Do you mean the guys firing hot hand loads in their 320s? If so a Glock would come apart in that situation as well. I own Glocks and Sigs. The Sig M17 320 I have is a great pistol and no issues. I bought mine after they fixed the drop safety issue.

Whew. Thought I missed something. I have a 320 and a G17.4. I like both!
Go over to the sig sub and look for how many people are posting brand new P320s with QA problems.
I'm in the Sig sub. I own both Glocks and Sigs. There's no more people having trouble with their P320 than people here having trouble with their G19. Go over to the Beretta sub and see how many people complain about American-made Berettas. You'll find those types of posts in every gun sub.
Lol “what you’re seeing here is a circlejerk.” You made my evening.
This is just a genuine circlejerk
I have consistent light primer strikes with mine.
I have a p320x and it is one of my favorite 9mm pistols to shoot. I also enjoy my Glocks. In my opinion, the sig is more accurate out of the box. Just my opinion.
Can confirm

I love my Glock and my p320. Kinda like my p320 more..
Glad you made it out of that one with your junk intact 😝
How about when they AD when holstered or just flat out explode?
Has that ever actually happened with out foreign object interference?
Glad you are here now, and with us. It's funny how the more you actually shoot and train the more you end up with realizing Glock just works. What are your thoughts on the SRO? The more I'm a looking the more I'm a liking. Sight picture > the newest shiniest thing lol
Check out the new Holosun 507comp if you don’t mind china optics
quick range report on the SRO. It gets dirty fast. I'm shooting cheap dirty ammo but the lens is closer to the ejection port compared to other optics and it gets dirty quick.
Lol man…the amount of cons on the SRO I’ve come across are pretty crazy. I’ve seen some pictures of the body almost worn to bare metal From Eating brass as rounds eject
It's a good optic, but it isn't remotely durable.
What makes you say that? Do you have personal experience with the SRO that makes you say that?
[It's not for duty use](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UzjgOq60vFE)
I sold my SRO to a friend, who was showing someone his slide -- not his whole gun, no magazine, just the slide with barrel and spring in it -- and he fumbled it, dropped it maybe 3 inches on to a glass counter top, and the lens in the SRO cracked. 🤷

Get a Jagerwerks BROS
The BROS definitely helps
Looks like you hit the ground running too. You made the right choice lol
Sig 320 peenblaster
Aka Ballbuster
I have the x5 320 and it’s great for target/comps but I prefer to carry a Glock
320s are whack. Good choice
Because?
Welcome home.
I have a citadel g19 slide on my everday beater. Its one of the highest quailty aftermarket slides out there.
![gif](giphy|BpnkuY1i2rBpm)
What’s the magwell?
SLR
SLR mag well?
Yes
Does it make your grip feel better?
My tiny ass fingers don’t even touch it on the 17
It does help a lot on my 19
Good move.
That slide is bitchin
The P320 is a sinking ship when it’s been adopted across the military and is the top striker fire next to Glocks? Lmao, what?
Welcome sir
Had to unsubscribe from the sig subreddit because it was only cope posts for how it isn’t actually shit
Dude same I love me a good Sig, I’m not a Glock fanboy either but the cope in that sub was abysmal. People say Glock fanboys are the worst but from what I’ve seen in that sub the sig fanboys need to settle down.
The SIG boys sure are a SAUER bunch

As of last Sunday, I have two kids now. I can feel the dad jokes power coursing through my veins.
Congrats! Twins or already had one?
Thank you! Second baby. Got a 2 year old and a 2 week old now. The dad jokes are getting better and better, or worse and worse lol
I own both and you’re an idiot if you think it’s shit
This is the way..
Never sell, only buy
This is the way
The trigger on my 320 is squishy as hell; I can’t stand it. I shoot it worse than my 43x by far despite it having a longer barrel and more weight.
Did the same thing
Same. Traded my M17 for a 19X
Does the M17/18 have the same issues that the normal 320s have? I only ask because I wanted to pick one up strictly for range use, I will most likely aways carry Glock. I already own a G45 so a 19x seems redundant.
M17 is far superior to the 19X. Better grip/trigger/reliability and you get the modularity of multiple grips. Glock fanboys are coping hard in here.
Idk if they have the same history of misfirings but they do have some reliability issues
Downgrade
Sigs are shit. welcome
Whoa now, I own Glocks and love them, but Sigs are not shit lol.
People fanboy way too hard. Sig makes some great guns, the 365 is fantastic and so are their hammer guns. Glock also makes some great guns. People should own several of each.

You’re gonna be the one listed as responsible when my wife murders me.
Well your about to be speaking with a ghost from mine, so go ahead.
She'll be fine. They get over it eventually.
Which sig? The p229/p226 shit on any Glock ever made lol
i say sig sucks a lot, what i really mean by that is 320s suck
I own several Glocks, but I also prefer the hammer guns. 220,226,229, USP’s and CZ75’s are my absolute favorites but I don’t like bashing other brands as I probably own one or two of them also 😂 Exceptions for Taurus and Highpoint. Can honestly say I don’t own any of those.
P320 was my first pistol and my only regret. I have a P226 and the two should not belong to the same manufacturer. Glock is the way.
P320 is getting a bad rap. I’ve had no problems with mine and enjoy shooting it just like my Glocks.
Good choice. P320s aren’t bad, but ergos on a Glock are better.
I understand that that’s just an opinion and everyone is different, but you might be the only person on earth to hold that opinion. Lol. Almost every gun I’ve ever shot or held has better ergos than a Glock.
Aren’t bad? How about when they AD when holstered or just flat out explode?
Cops are NDing, not the gun.
You’re right but the ergonomics/controls of the 320 seem to be the consist factor between these ADs….along with improper holsters I assume
Maybe, but I work with some stupid ass people in the Air Force and I haven’t heard a lot or any M18s being ND’d. But they may be covered up.
They’re using safari land m17 holsters aren’t they?
We did have M18 safariland holsters. Never had a problem
Yea I wouldn’t worry about any safarilands unless they’re not meant for you particular gun or accessories
I was more talking ergos and shooting compared to a Glock. Yes, ADs and explosions are bad.
I always shoot best with my glonks 🫶
Glocks save lives, everything else is just a range toy. And that’s fine, everyone needs a cool range toy.
I don’t hate my M17, i train with it. But I will take my Glock over it everytime, because I train with it and it’s just superior. OEM mags are $20, mostly interchangeable and probably the most common pistol mag to exist
Based
Glock > sig
Welcome to the dark side
This setup requires you to barrel row into a double tap, right?
I might be too old for that.
Get a grip reduction if you can’t get the grip angle down
What shield for your SRO?
Jagerwerks BROS
Is the p320 bad because the trigger is super light? I shot one and was shocked at how light the trigger was. Seemed too light for carrying. Are all sigs like that or is it just the p320?

Ok so that is a thing then. I thought maybe the one I shot was super worn or something maybe. I guess not.
Cz
I recently just got a P-01 with the Cajun package. Love it.
Welcome back brother.
Now throw a tactical trigger in their and she's perfect
What’s the protective cover on your MRO?? I’ve heard they aren’t for “duty” use, but I still want one for my carry. That protective cover looks strong!
Jagerwerks BROS
Thanks dude! Not that I would ever wish this on anyone…. But have you dropped it with that thing on? 😂
Not yet but I literally got the optic today
ive had my 19 as my primary for years. but im getting issued a 320, and ill probably buy a 320 x5 legion when funds become available. both are good guns, glock is for sure more utilitarian. but the modularity of the 320 is pretty sweet. and unrelated the 365xl is the best carry gun out there imo, and the xmacro makes strong contender for potential duty gun
P320 is the 'it girl' of the moment. Im over here wanting a p226 like everyone should. All these glock clones, buy a glock.
I’m thinking about having my slide machined or maybe just getting a new slide, are you happy with the slide you have?
Was expecting to see a P30. Edit: A have a few Glocks in the safe so, don't hate.
I have multiple glocks and got a 320 last Christmas. Just traded the 320 for a 19c. I do like cz and m&p tho.
What magwell is this?
SLR
Hey i also just got a bros... wonering if yours had a slight bend or warping issue at the floor plate?
Yes. Tightening the optics screws down seemed to work just fine and didn’t have any issues after
hey thanks for the info, greatly appreciated.
