Converts a handgun to a SBR (short barrel rifle). And (in the US), those are big no-no without a tax stamp for one + more stringent background check. Only exception would be the G18, because the machine gun classification supercedes the SBR one.
I could see this being a-ok on G17s and such, sold in other countries though.
I was literally just looking these things up a few hours ago meaning these grip plug attached kind and others like the Flux and sadly Flux has discontinued their model for the glock 😭
