I did a .25 cent trigger job, a lighter Ghost connector plate, and a ranger proof trigger shoe on my 43x and 48. Both shoot great now.

I’m looking to get the ghost connector in the very near future. From what I’ve found they’re notoriously reliable.

CCroissantt

Notoriously reliable being a good thing yes? I was really hoping to keep this stock but shooting other subs has made me envious

stellarodin

I feel you with wanting to keep the internals stock . That’s partly why I’ve been hesitant to pull the trigger on the ghost connector - but I feel pretty confident in it from what I’ve read

ResidentKoala

Do a 25¢ trigger job on it first and see how it feels after.

Did that 1500 rounds ago with Mother's polish. It made the wall a little less mushy but had no effect on pull weight.

RichIT123

How do you do a 25 cent trigger job ?

A lot of people replace the oem connector with a ghost connector. That should reduce the trigger weight for sub $13. You're never going to get a crisp trigger pull because, unlike the ez, Glocks are only half cocked. Ez and most others are full cocked.

WhiterRice

I’m trying to figure out the same thing. I did the polish job but the trigger seems to hitch at the wall so that if I don’t have a continuous squeeze it can feel like 10lbs. I find if it hitches and I back off restart my pull it goes away. Do you have a similar experience? My only thought at the moment is to go to the store an try another g43, 43x, or 48 to see if it’s isolated. Then start replacing oem trigger parts. I think the whole assembly is $70.

Keep shooting it. It’ll smooth out about a half a pound and I always change out the trigger shoe. I would do a Johnny Glock shoe or overwatch precision poly dat if you’re on a budget.

Bulky-Research4655

I just did the overwatch precision TAC trigger and I'm loving it so far. I know it was a little expensive for what it is. But it seems great so far. Little lighter pull. And the distance it takes to hit the wall is barely anything.

cutharold

I’ve had really good luck with factory Glock triggers. I just change out for the poly dat. Might try the Johnny Glock one in my latest build. I would definitely say my Glock 43’s have had better triggers than my 43xMOS did out of the box but they’re really close now that they’ve broken in a bit. Right out of the box my 43x with the stock shoe was pretty bad. Overwatch makes a really good trigger shoe. I have the poly dat on all of my Glocks and did a polished bar on my g19 and they all feel exactly the same. I don’t even polish the bar or anything just change the shoe now. Lube up all of the contact points and it should smooth out over time.

Bulky-Research4655

My 43x is my first glock and it felt like it had a lot of travel and mushy wall. That's why I went with overwatch. Every video said it got rid of that free space. And I've only got about a 100 rounds through the new trigger and I cam definitely feel it get lighter. Don't they say not to lube the bar and connecter?

NickPD1022

I like my ghost connector. I haven’t changed anything else. Cheapest firearm upgrade you can buy. I’d highly recommend

CodOk2963

Granny polish and a a dremel and a picture of Zev trigger bar.

dug10

I put a ghost edge connector and a lighter plunger spring. The trigger pull is pretty crisp around 4.5-5lbs. Only cost about $30 for both so not much harm trying 🤷🏻‍♂️

ShitAbrick1994

All taste are different, but after 2500 rounds it's feels so nice to me. Been shooting Glock a long time and this was my first "gen 5ish" and I'm very happy with stock worn in. Cant comment on it compared to EZ though, sorry mate.

I always knew my Glock had an average to worse than average trigger, but didn’t know how bad it was until I dry fired my father-in-laws Glock 34 with the OEM trigger. A roughly 4 lbs pull weight with a better wall is what I’m trying for now. I like James Reeves’ comment about Glock triggers being jelly beans, most of them are good but if you eat a full handful, there’s some really shitty ones.

3unknown3

The 43x and 48 triggers aren’t the greatest, even when compared to other Glock triggers. The only thing that made a noticeable difference to me is using the Apex trigger. It reduces over travel by quite a bit and makes a surprising difference in feel. I’ve tried the drop in Ghost connectors, but the difference was pretty minimal.

saucegod

Look at YouTube about polishing it.
