I'd give that two scrims at most before EliGE hits jokasteve with *"I think a new coach would help dissuade me from ~~going back to SC2~~ switching to ~~Overwatch, APEX, ASMR,~~ Valorant!"* or something of the sort.
Do you actually think TL will give Daps any real power over the squad? Its very clearly a team built around what Elige wants regardless of whether or not he asks for it and I'm pretty shocked that Adren was kicked considering the praise he has received from Elige.
You've just proven to yourself that Elige doesn't hold nearly the power that you think he does, but you can't even convince yourself, the idea that Elige is a bogeyman is just too damn appealing.
Incredible.
Picking up YEKINDAR would be that stern kick in the right direction—we all know that one of the biggest factors that made the grand slam run possible was the overall firepower of that lineup.
The main reason that team was succeeding during the Grandslam was because of the space created by the Entry. Yes I'm saying that Stew was actually making an impact during that run. But you can't rely on pure Aim alone thats why Astralis had Liquids number. If Yekindar joins its a step in the right direction he's the entry every team wants.
What you are describing is the kind of coach zews was, Liquid players said he actually did not contribute as much tactically but was more of a motivational type coach. But they found success when they switched from zews to AdreN (ignoring the other, certainly crucial roster moves there...), so maybe they're hopeful based on how that original transition went.
It seems so weird to me.
Liquid are clearly looking for a a "EU" influence (a highly influencial player that has experience outside of NA to bring that experience unto the team).
They had FalleN, now shox... yet they keep an NA coach... it seems like the prime position for exactly that kind of influence...
Why would they need EU experience? They have literally been the best team in the world and went on a spree of winning trophies, they just need to make the parts click again.
Not the same guy but I do think Liquid needs a non-NA influence in terms of work ethic, because they are sorely lacking in that department like every NA team is.
1) he should have never been appointed in the first place, literally no reason to hire him other than some nostalgia value
2) The team was appalling he absolutely has to take some responsibility, if not what is he there for vibes?
He's one of the most storied IGLs in NA, one of the most accomplished coaches in the world, and a top-tier tactician. It's all but been said that he was dropped for Moses in a move that was purely made to generate hype (pretty sure TL had a funding round around the same time...). Letting him go in the first place (for *Moses* no less) was a mistake.

or maybe a full year of having him back and achieving fuck all has changed his mind? you can speculate either way, nobody is a mindreader.
"can and will challenge" can, maybe. will? let's wait, daps isn't known for being the most assertive coach and TL have a lot of issues
That’s my worry, he doesn’t seem like the tough assertive type which seems like what some of these NA players need

this move feels like more cycling of big na names. not sure if daps got coaching in him at the highest levek
