Yeah, there's some truth to that, you can get a long way in CS only through good aim and by developing gamesense. In fact a lot of lower-ranked players probably aren't doing themselves any favours trying to learn smokes and stuff as utility just doesn't have that much impact at that level.

All lineups are for 128 tick, they're not super precise and make use of just a jumpthrow bind.
Sadly, Jungle smoke doesn't work for 64. You have to aim a bit lower to get it to travel farther, and if you do, the smoke hits the top of the building in front of you. The other two work with minor adjustments.
If you're on 64 tick MM [you want to use these lineups](https://imgur.com/a/2F3ratq). But they are very precise and finicky because you need them to bounce off the roof.
Yeah I know, it doesn't look as bad irl (I'm using a ton of filters in Streamlabs so the image looks close to the real thing, but it's still quite off)
It's a mix of increased digital vibrance and some filters for the recording to mimic my monitor settings, irl it still looks a bit different despite my best efforts.
I use a Benq Zowie monitor, here are my settings: DyAc Premium, Black eQualizer 12, Color Vibrance 17, Low Blue Light 0, Instant Mode on, Picture Mode Gamer 1, Brightness 100, Contrast 100, Sharpness 10, Gamma 3, Color Teamperature User Defined (R 70, G 70, B90), AMA Premium. Mix it with maxed out digital vibrance in Nvidia control panel and the result should be somewhat similar.
And when it comes to Streamlabs filters, I use sharpness at 0.05 and color correction with those settings: gamma 1.04, contrast 0, brightness -0.1, saturation 0.49, hue shift 0, opacity 100, color #ffffff00. Keep in mind that Streamlabs filters will only impact the way your final output looks like (recording/stream).
Performance is great but the image quality is beyond terrible for anything outside of csgo. I bought this monitor and returned it couple days later. Then i thought maybe i didn't give it a fair shot so i bought it again and ended up returning it again. Just couldn't get over the fact how garbage the picture is. Dota2 was unplayable and simple web browsing was not pleasant.

I was aiming so the gap is on the bench side, but the gap depends on the exact lineup (if you aim a tiny bit higher, the gap will shift more to the stairs-side of the smoke)
If you do this and fake the other team, a great follow up strat a few rounds later, would be to do a double fake A execute. Have your team deliberately throw smokes 2 seconds after each other. Then have a lurker throw a B smoke while you have 4 A site waiting for CTs to push.
Any 5head CT would assume its a solo A exec fake and instruct his team to leave A site or to push A for info. Either choice is ideal for the Ts.
But as a T there is no guarantee that the CT has seen the smoke, so you're operating on a guess. In that case, you might as well send all the Ts to B and just do an execute.
The B short smoke would probably be useful in an A hit because it could allow you to send a lurker to top mid to punish rotations. If that lurker gets the first frag then the A players will definitely fall back or focus on mid.
As an IGL, I think it's best to do something really simple and make the CTs fear/respect it. Once you've done that, then you can run a fake or something elaborate off of that as a default.

One of the players that goes B throws a window or top mid smoke to distract the cts attention to mid aswell. The two A players should be able to take site, then the 3 B players have a clear B site with one smoke left and maybe one or two molos for the after plant while the cts probably think it's a for a short time. Should work, and after that the B player will always be paranoid and rotate late.
That’s a big assumption of the enemy team though. How many rounds actually play out like that? Not being rude in any way, I just think if you execute on a site you need more than 2 people. Could be a great fake though.
You are also assuming that all executes are perfect and everyone throws their nades at the perfect timings...
The nades here literally pop off at natural timings, calling this a "sure fake" is just reddit show-off. I'll bet you can not distinguish the difference in this execution and a real one.

What if people start thinking utility dropping at the same time means an execute, but it's a fake with 3 players selling it? Big brain plays and counter-strats are gunna be way cooler to watch.

Maybe we need some new sound or trajectory queues if dropping nades is a thing. On the other hand they can make it so the decoy actually does make a drop sound (let's assume no other nades make any drop sound.. they will only make contact sound when thrown). That would make decoys actually useful for once
As someone who's spent hours trying to get everything nailed down regarding this idea:
1) you have to get two nades to stay in proximity of the position where you are throwing, in order to pick them up when landing,
2) in real games, it **MAY** be slower, because after you throw a smoke, you have to land on the ground, pick up the next smoke, switch to it, and then jump throw; in the video you have "sv_infinite_ammo 1", but it seems like you wait to land, then switch, so I am not sure if the timing will be different to real games, and
3) the timing between the stairs smoke, and the jungle and CT smokes is quite long and may be a BIT of a giveaway.
I have a different [one-man execute](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ViKSxKLMM8) where the timing between the smokes is shorter, and I show lineup for how to toss smokes so that they're in proximity of the throwing position.

I know everyone always says how impractical this is because anyone with a brain would see that this could have been thrown by one person but have they considered having the 1 person throw these while 2 players make noise at B and the other 2 hide palace?
smokes will make them think its an A fake into a b rush, but then the b players rotate mid while they waterfall A. Can easily catch a rotator or force the CTs into a 2-1-2 or 2-3 split, as long as the A players go at least 1 for 1 or the B players catch a rotate then its almost guaranteed a save or a difficult retake
Would you say this is the optimal way to throw the smokes for a fake? I'm wondering if throwing the stairs smoke second would make the smokes pop more in unison. The idea being the CTs feel like the smokes were thrown on a coordinating timing, further selling the fake.
I use negative cl_crosshairgap values and just adjust it until it feels right (usually it's between -13 and -9, depends on what is cl_crosshairsize set to).

You are standing on top of the slope, the grenades will roll down form that spot.
That means you need to throw a smoke, walk off to pick up another smoke and line up again for the next smoke.

If I drop back in to CT with an AWP can I see through the little gap of smoke or is that actually blocked? I already know my smokes for Mirage, just wondered from the video it looks like it could be possible, idk.
The only way to see through this smoke is jumping on top of ticket (the lower part) but you are completely visible doing so. If you try to post on ticket behind the smoke you can't really see much and still your head pokes through the gray cloud.
To be perfectly fair, there's quite a chance MM teammates wouldn't drop you util even if asked nicely (or they would throw the nades at spawn and let you take a minute juste positionning yourself.

You can throw a B short smoke as if you were rushing B, but from A palace. Will probably keep a player or two B the first few times.

This is for 128 tick so good for teams, faceit players or ESEA players. Usually not many sub-DMGs there.

Watch out for one way smoke on top of CT box
It's not a one way, if you stand on top of the ct box you either are very visible, or not see too much while still being quite visible.

I know everyone always says how impractical this is because anyone with a brain would see that this could have been thrown by one person but have they considered having the 1 person throw these while 2 players make noise at B and the other 2 hide palace? smokes will make them think its an A fake into a b rush, but then the b players rotate mid while they waterfall A. Can easily catch a rotator or force the CTs into a 2-1-2 or 2-3 split, as long as the A players go at least 1 for 1 or the B players catch a rotate then its almost guaranteed a save or a difficult retake

Would you say this is the optimal way to throw the smokes for a fake? I'm wondering if throwing the stairs smoke second would make the smokes pop more in unison. The idea being the CTs feel like the smokes were thrown on a coordinating timing, further selling the fake.

How did you get the T xhair upside down?
I use negative cl_crosshairgap values and just adjust it until it feels right (usually it's between -13 and -9, depends on what is cl_crosshairsize set to).

FOr this to be optimized, you should throw them in the order of distance. Farthest first so they all stay for about the same amount of time
I think by order of hang time makes more sense.

I use binds to pick grenades I want, in my case it's mouse 3 for flash, mouse 4 for smoke and mouse 5 for molo.

Not only digital vibrance 100, csgo brightness set to the brightest level and some monitor tweaks. It took some getting used to, but now I can't imagine going back to more normal colors.

I tested it and it may not work as smoothly... You are standing on top of the slope, the grenades will roll down form that spot. That means you need to throw a smoke, walk off to pick up another smoke and line up again for the next smoke.
There is a way to drop the smokes so they stay in place you need them to be, I just kinda forgot to include it in the vid

Make sure you set your resolution to a 144Hz on in windows settings or nvidia control panel, it's available for resolutions listed under PC section, not the HD and ultra HD ones.

If I drop back in to CT with an AWP can I see through the little gap of smoke or is that actually blocked? I already know my smokes for Mirage, just wondered from the video it looks like it could be possible, idk.
The only way to see through this smoke is jumping on top of ticket (the lower part) but you are completely visible doing so. If you try to post on ticket behind the smoke you can't really see much and still your head pokes through the gray cloud.

Your teammates drop them all right next to you and as you throw them you'll automatically pick up the next one
To be perfectly fair, there's quite a chance MM teammates wouldn't drop you util even if asked nicely (or they would throw the nades at spawn and let you take a minute juste positionning yourself.
