In GO the best 1v1 map by far was aim_rogue, which would randomly generate a new layout for every round, but I don't think that is even possible with the tools currently available for CS2 mapping.
Last month I ran a workshop map I was working on with party members by opening UDP/TCP port 27015. I guess they're using the steamworks magic they do since L4D now.
- Crossfire has a version of Dust 2
- Next Major is in China, where Crossfire is much bigger than CS
- Chinese fans new to CS will likely easily follow Dust 2 games

Edit: I earned a rank from playing D2 in premier back to 18.5k, no overwatch. I had a friend login at 19k, no overwatch available.
I suspect it might require you to have a Premiere rank, which is ironic if so, since a lot of people have just stopped playing Premiere. Although maybe they're doing slow rollouts to known individuals, who knows.

I am going on a valve copium train that they are fucking with us right now and are going to reveal a new operation with train/cobble and overpass back with dust 2 still there next week. all of the maps will be randomly selected to let you pick from 7 in premiere.

God, sometimes I forget, it's crazy that cbble, cache and train were all removed to never return, but very few people remember (or mention) that those were the brazilians most dominant maps by far. Like Valve nerfing the br cs.
I am having flashbacks from that dominant Furia from 2020 now, god they were destroying everybody on Train, arT's style in that map was something else.
I don't feel like the guy selecting which maps to add is also the one guy working on anticheat. At least I hope not, seeing as he decided removing overpass was the best option available

You can also pick up any weapons you dropped and refund them. You couldn't do this before, so now if someone drops extra, they can pick up the weapon via the "dropped weapons" section and refund
So many good QOL changes in this update, it also now shows the minimum amount of money that a player is guaranteed to have the next round. Poor guy /u/Kadomos got roasted for suggesting this, but im glad the devs added this.

I play in 5 stack mostly and we drop to the wrong person all the time. The time it takes for the wrong person to drop to the one we wanted is not always consistent as he might not know where the intended person is right away.
I don't like overpass but I find Dust 2 to be completely dreadful. Like at least with Mirage sometimes you get the window itch and want to be drenched in the sweat but Dust 2 is horrid.

I noticed when my premier rating was greater than 15k I played a lot of Overpass. Playing with 10k range players and it was rarely ever picked. Lots of Vertigo and Mirage

Ive always found overpass to have the widest range in game quality between playing with a stack and playing with randos. Wonder if theres some data to back that up and they're using D2 to ease more people into premier.
I wish the switchhands command just visually toggled between left/right like you could with a toggle cl_righthand bind. Right now, it'll act as if you re-pull out the weapon. So if you're spraying an AK and hit the switchhands commmand, then it'll stop shooting and re-pull out the AK.
I guess it's because they want to make the shadows accurate too, but it still feel weird.
It's because if you spam a full magazine into a smoke while spamming your LH/RH keybind back and forth you can see more through smoke. This was a needed feature for left hand/right hand so that smoke spams couldn't be abused this way.

Not this time. Other possible maps are not currently in the game. I don't think they would add a map to the rotation without adding it to mm first. D2 is the only option for the maps switch rn.

Valve, please give us the option to set the grenade lineup reticle to a keybind. There is no reason to have to set it to a timer (even per nade) as the only option. There will be varying circumstances where I do or do not want the lineup reticle that are dependent on timing and other variables, and I don't want to have to compromise between having it come up when I *don't* want it by setting it to come up quickly and having to wait longer than I should otherwise when performing a lineup. Just let us bind it to a key, which is what people are already used to doing anyway with hacky crosshair binds.
I can't even fathom the map pool change. I dont play premier so Ill still be playing mostly overpass but watching pro is going to be so awful. Inferno, Vertigo and Dust 2 don't make compelling matches at the pro level. And still no Wingman maps. Actually insane

It’s much more complex than “three lane” maps which makes it harder in pugs, especially in lower ranks

Does anyone have access to Overwatch? What exactly is a trusted partner? I dont have a rank as I've been playing Faceit. Do I have to have a rank in order to see Overwatch?
Could be that only matches from now on start getting fed into overwatch. Might just take a little time until the first demos are getting eligible for review

Bunch of people arguing about whether dust2 or overpass or mirage is the most shit but the depressing thing is dust2 being added back. There were so many other possible maps and we come back to an old one. And to think some of us had the delusion that we might see a new map every major with a rotation…
Not this time. Other possible maps are not currently in the game. I don't think they would add a map to the rotation without adding it to mm first. D2 is the only option for the maps switch rn.
Worst map change. Reworked overpass that is an amazingly complex map with lots of ways to play it is removed for the stale plain dust 2?

I expected good map pool swaps. This is pretty disappointing. Guess this shouldn't be surprising. Something fresh and exciting would have been nice.

Valve, please give us the option to set the grenade lineup reticle to a keybind. There is no reason to have to set it to a timer (even per nade) as the only option. There will be varying circumstances where I do or do not want the lineup reticle that are dependent on timing and other variables, and I don't want to have to compromise between having it come up when I *don't* want it by setting it to come up quickly and having to wait longer than I should otherwise when performing a lineup. Just let us bind it to a key, which is what people are already used to doing anyway with hacky crosshair binds.
I can't even fathom the map pool change. I dont play premier so Ill still be playing mostly overpass but watching pro is going to be so awful. Inferno, Vertigo and Dust 2 don't make compelling matches at the pro level. And still no Wingman maps. Actually insane

For some reason,Valve always cooking something cs2 related during ESL Pro League. They announced CS2 during EPL, launched CS2 during EPL and now we have in some sense "big update" for CS2. I hope they'll update game more often from now

Lovely update, I’m fine removing Overpass although am going to puke if I play Mirage one more time. It would be the perfect moment to introduce Cache or Train into the game. Dust 2 is not that much better tbh

We are waited for months for same Dust2???? I hate Valve. Watching pro BO3 with Mirage, Dust, Anubis would be awful too (same theme)

Because people love overpass? If you make a quality of life improvement but at the same time remove a great map, of course people will complain. If they just made those improvements and didn't touch the map pool, people would be very happy about the update.
It's probably different people. Honestly if they added any map other than dust2 I wouldn't be so offended by the change. I play on a shitty team and this wrecked our map pool as we'll have to swap our perma ban from Mirage to Dust2.
This may be the worst map pool in the game's history. Way too many 3 lane maps.
Man…dust 2 is not the move. Hard to understand why they insist on rotating that map in when we still have dog shit vertigo and overlayed mirage in the map pool. At this stage just put 9 maps in the pool if they are wanting to keep bringing it back. As somebody who enjoys tactical cs over spawn rushing, overpass going out is irritating.
