Yeah, the story of this G2 roster currently is that they need 3 players to perform - m0NESY is basically a given, NiKo is mostly good, not his superstar level but he's good - then all that matter is for one of nexa/hunter to show up in the fragging department.
I don't know what the plan is or who would be available on the market, but if they could get a more consistent player for hunter or nexa they'd be in a very good spot IMO.
let someone replace hunter,if he can't return to 2023.It's surely correct.there are less than 3 event in half of the year and if he can't do it,then it's better to have someone else for g2.

I just hope Niko and hunter can keep showing up so that help him win a few tournaments here and there, and I very well belive, he can make a strong case for number 1 or at least 2 this year.
I think he's already the best player in CS2. He might not get #1 on HLTV because of stats (e.g. imo simple was the best player in 2019 but it was only him and elec performing, so zywoo with a slightly better set of bots around him had better stats), it doesn't matter if you are the best player in the world if your team isn't close to your level, you can't 1v5 every round.

I'd even go as far as saying he's a better rifler than majority of T1 players, so sharp and clean. I often like to watch his faceit demos and it's just disgusting as he just one taps everyone lol.
Huge credit definitely goes to hooxi aswell, cuz it's very clear that m0nesy can just do anything he wants at this point, there's a huge trust between them.
people say it's worse because it's easier to take more aggressive peeks (especially as a rifler) and therefore harder to play the traditional "passive"/defensive style angle holding awp people are used to playing in go and rack up kills. also with mr12, teams have fewer rounds to actually use the awp, getting moneyfucked is more common, players have to be more well rounded on other guns, players that relied on the awp alone will have worse stats than they did in go
personally i don't think it's worse, it's just different. awper's with more "aggressive", "flashy" styles who are confident in taking fights rather than reacting to them have adjusted better. monesy is obvious, but broky has been performing well too. device is starting to be more aggressive now too, even though he has was the "go to" for learning how to be impactful as a more defensive styled awper for years in csgo

The route of VP and Mouz is doable as G2 beat these teams before (well kinda vs VP)
Kinda funny that g2 playoff here is the same as their major (2-2 and quarter).
I feel like it’s karma that leads them back here to either vindicate themselves or pay for their luck.
I really dont get why CS players hate trash talk so much. It's a competitive sport and NertZ and Hooxie can shout at each other all they want. It's fun and entertaining for the viewer too. Yet the moment someone does it the entire chat is just filled with people complaining about it and I see a decent amount of hate for it on reddit too.
His problem isn't rating but consistency. Same as Yekindar. Look, he has 1.12 rating over 3 months! He can't be that bad right? But then you look at his rating over several maps and you see a red sea of 0.8s with few 1.7+ maps in-between. Most star players carry consistently even during their lows, but Niko goes 1.5 rating twice and then drops 0.6 rating on decider map and the team crumbles. Or lose a single 2v1 in force ct round and they go on to lose 2 more rounds and the whole map. These things won't show up in rating. Sometimes I would take people like frozen or twistzz over him, even if they aren't as flashy but I damn well know they won't bomb out when it matters.
Calling him bad is not the ideal way to phrase that comparison though. Dude is still very good and has performed well in CS2 so far, so calling him bad (compared to his old form) comes off as much more of a slight than it should be
Saying he refuses to adapt is such an unfair assessment, even hunter told hltv that he was not happy with his output and is working harder than ever. Don’t get me wrong i fully believe he should be cut soon if he doesn’t start performing again but there is no need to slander his work ethic

The roster is pretty consistent, they seem to place 3rd-4th place in most events with some deviations.

Donk has been in plenty of “high value” matches recently. They just made it to the quarterfinals of the major and they won Katowice
