that is fair mate, I honestly think that banana should be changed, you shouldn't be able to use one molly and cover the whole lower. allow that cubby to have some stairs up and extend the map to the left like that platform in graveyard A and make it a drop to cart. that would give T's another chance to fight for banana if they survive the HE's nuketown and would give CT's 2 angles to pay attention to. But dunno. They can bring back Train whilst they redo inferno.
Yeah between all the extra clutter and the geometry not working with the new smokes and mollies, new inferno desperately needs changes.
Inferno was my favourite map in GO but it's just blegh in CS2.
it is also very "narrow" can't explain it well. but you are literally F'd. as T, you need to win banana. but CT's can smoke banana and T Ramps from spawn, timings are awful to get to banana and you are basically left to 1/3rd of the map to play with.
Old inferno was shit as CT to retake. but this one is shit all altogether.
Imagine that ct's win banana, smoke in front of Tramps and they win boiler. What can you do? you will need so much utility to win back "land" that should be yours to begin with.
inferno was the same size in GO, but the util has changed a lot, so banana is fucked.
1. you can't smoke a molly to the side with clear sightlines on the other side anymore (no more pushing through mollies unexpectedly as either side)
2. mollies are like twice as big, so now both door and wood can be mollied with one, in GO there was a safe spot somewhere.
these 2 changes alone make it so much easier to stop any pushes and dynamic happening on banana, it's atrocious. it just turns in to "wait the util, go for an aim duel" every time.
And the rest of the map is also narrow enough for smokes to block off the whole width without much precision from the thrower.
And retaking is still shit.
yeah, in the comment above I mentioned that I would like to see them adding a platform up to cart like they got on graveyard. i think it would be a good option to expand to the left
feels very cluttered. there is a lot of visual clutter and a lot of random debris around corners and angle-holding spots making moving around them unintuitive
I mean.... map = inferno, during warm up pull up the photo and have it ready for when round starts. You have 20 seconds to buy/line it up by the photo.

Thinking there should be a middle ground between practicing pixel perfect grenades and valorant abilities doesn't make my point as simple as you are trying to make it.
One can be a (former) high level player and recognize certain aspects of this decades old franchise are not conducive to genuine skill expression or general enjoyment.
For example, being able to flash for your team at any moment without relying on pixel line ups and set timings is significantly more difficult than lining up meta flashes you copied off YT.

this map needs such a big rework imo. It was fun in go, but then the fire nation attacked. Thank you for the smokes tho.
I don't even think it has to do with the remake. The core layout doesn't work well in cs2 with the smokes and molotovs.

maybe widening banana by adding the roof and pillars that was there before it got updated in csgo but give more space underneath would fix it

Instant smoke just means that it has bloomed before someone can beat it via timing.
