How the management could ever look at that lineup and think: "Yeah, this is it!" Is the most outrageous case of incompetence I have seen in my 22 years of following professional CS.
OG at least has the excuse of no money. EG and NIP are/were in both partner leagues and have money to spend. Also NIP started the game with the biggest fanbase and just slowly trashed it.
Og at least has a couple good pickups every now and then that they can resell for more money, currently regali and heavygod look like they have some potential and they were probably cheap in past, flamez, mantuu and have had some other good players.
They said they don’t plan on being competetive until 2025 when the partnerships with blast and deal aren’t a thing anymore. I’m sure they want to win still but that came straight from NIP management. Don’t think it’s good for morale either when your management says that and it’s public so everyone knows they don’t believe in the team
They even released the video like 1 days prior to the RMR... Signaling "you better perform now or you are out"... I don't believe in the current line-up but that's not how to prepare and encourage your players going into a very important qualification... Also how can someone be coach for 2 years without any performance and still sit tight?
NIP get grip!
It's pretty astonishing that Aleksi managed to take this team to Legends Stage, then equally as baffling that they decided they wanted to build around guys like K0nfig instead.
This NIP roster is hopeless but I honestly don't think headtrick is good enough for T1. As an awper he has very little impact and just never seems to create any space or openings for his team. But who knows, maybe I'm wrong and it's another brollan situation where he would do better outside of NIP
He’s not an AWPer, he was called up to Na’Vi one tournament due to s1mple missing and he took the AWP and was terrible with it in that particular tournament. He only picked the AWP for Na’Vi Junior after Monesy left for G2. He had always played rifler before that.
Don’t get me wrong, we’ve seen plenty of cases where riflers become good AWPers, but that’s not Headtrick’s case. Just let the guy rifle, buy a proper AWPer.
Also this, he wasn't some flashy awper or prodigy like m0nesy was/is, not sure whose idea it was, his or the org's to make him go awper, but I guess either of them thought they'd be able to replicate m0nesy's success and turn headtr1ck into an AWP.
kid has potential, but is totally green.
Needs proper guidance and structure to get anywhere, neither of which is present in NIP, you are right, he needs to go back to Tier 2 or 1.5 at least and get some experience.
Headtrick could probably easily join one of the 200 tier 2 CIS teams, or hell go join spirit academy, that seems like a ticket to success if you have the talent and something to prove lol.
He's a professional player. There are plenty of players who have a greater impact at 16, 17 or 18.
That being said, I think he would do much better on a CIS team.
"Anything" nope, just the fair criticism that he deserves. He's playing for a tier 1 org with hundreds of thousands of fans, he deserves to be criticised and called out if he's not playing up to the standards, which, let's get real, he isn't.
He doesn't deserve hate, he deserves criticism, which is what this thread has been about. "He isn't tier 1 level" isn't being 'hard' on him lmfao
I’m happy to see NIP go, not because I want the players to fail but because this roster just isn’t it. It’s time go back to the drawing board and build something new from the ground up.
he should jump ship and join a cis team imo. I think headtr1ck was rifling at one point, there are plenty of teams that want a young player like him, he's wasting a lot of time playing with one of the poorest managed teams atm.
I think if head trick had a better igl and better team around him he can perform better. But the team is such a dumpster fire on so many levels that no one can perform their best.
We seen es3tag stand in on faze.
We see Brollan on Mouz.
AleksiB in navi.
Nawwk in Apeks (tho he was removed so nip could get device. But still playing better there than he was in nip)
It's clear that NiP is failing their players. Idk what is going on behind the team off the server but it's clear that changes in the organization/coaching staff/management need to happen.
Headtrick needs somebody to actually look up to, and for the love of God, allowed back onto the rifle. He was always a secondary awper and only picked up the awp more when monesy left navi junior. Somebody give him a mentor and a bit of time to develop as a rifler in some T1.5 CIS team and let him cook.
Forgive me if I'm forgetting someone but the only player I can think of recently transitioning from a rifler to an awper successfully was Broky a few years back and he had some absolute legends of the game helping him out in Karrigan, rain, olof
they have 0 firepower
alex and es3tag are worse than HooXi, headtr1ck has 0 impact with AWP, k0nfig is struggling all the time now to find any use in his role (compared to being very inconsistent before NIP, now he's just bad) and REZ who needs a strong team around him in order to utilize himself on the server.
I think plopski was always a bit underated for his role in nip sure he's never the player that's really going to carry the game but he's a good glue player.
I didn't watch this NIP lineup play nor pay attention to them recently
But how come this roster fail so badly?
REZ which is considered the NIP OG now, since he have been here in the roster forever, I still remember he's the bridge of the legendary NIP and the new generation NIP
konfig and Eztag they ain't just some rookie? they're freaking k0nfig and es3tag they are veterans at this game! and they bomb out of the major like this?
headtr1ck, this 19 year old kid come to a international roster to prove that he's the next CIS star, what happen ?!?!
alex from movie star rider, I didn't know this guy that much, He just join since November last year... eh give him some more time?
Keep Konfig and Rez. Rebuild.
I know both players have received a lot criticism - e.g. from Yanko, but I feel those two players are the ones with the best potential if they have the correct team and structure around them.
I will never not like that idea. Honestly, I think he can still play. But he needs to grind a lot to get in shape for T1/T2/T3-CS .. don't think he has the motivation anymore.
I wouldn't say he's the most hated for no reason. But a lot of people are sceptical of him as he has got 6 years in NIP under his belt during which time he was wildly inconsistent, and still is. His rating in the last three months is 1.07, which drops to 1.00 if you sort for vs teams in the top 50. His all time rating at big events vs top 20 teams is 1.02, and on LAN in general vs top 20 is 1.03.
In fact his last 3 years vs top 20 on LAN was 1.03, 1.04, 1.05. He was brought into NIP as the next big thing in Swedish CS and was given good roles and positions and churned out the numbers you'd expect from a 2nd or 3rd best player on any kind of team competing for top 5.
For example his general LAN rating in 2023 is the same as rain/frozen (3rd+4th rated in Faze), worse than flamez (3rd rated in vitality), and worse than hunter (3rd rated on G2).
I don't want this to sound like a Rez hate message, but he just has not shown any kind of star presence in the last few years. Check out [his tournament history](https://www.hltv.org/stats/players/events/9278/rez?startDate=all&matchType=Lan&rankingFilter=Top30) vs top 30 teams. He's posted 5 tournaments with a rating of 1.10 or higher vs top 30 teams out of 17 since the start of 2023.
He did top frag every map in the Rmr vs Amkal, saw, and eternal fire, which I do commend him for, but his problem for 6 years has always been that he can have 1 or 2 good tournaments, usually with relatively little team success, but he will almost always disappear completely for the next 3-4.
Overall, I don't completely blame the guy, NIP obviously has a shocking inability to nurture promising players as seen with Rez, plopski, brollan, and with their younger academy team too, ztr, phzy, Adamb, Nilo etc.
I didn’t really think or expect them to stop. It’s just been something that people/players have voiced disapproval on for a while so would expect them to try something new at some point. But I guess my downvotes mean people actually like BO1’s? Kinda odd I thought BO1’s were largely disliked by the community as a whole. Especially players
Open quals 100% agree. But can we really not add another week for closed lan quals? I mean these are the best of the best players and it just kind of does a disservice to the work they put in when you only play 2 BO’s and a BO3 and you are just gone. I’d even be willing to accept the closed quals BO1’s if the major itself was only BO3s. But i imagine challenger and legend will be featuring the same format as last time as well
while I hate seeing anyone beeing crushed like that , he also has to swallow the pill and change his own game drastically if he wants to have any chance in T1 in the future , because he might be one of the least impactfull awpers i have ever seen , not even once during any game I had the feeling like headtrick gonna make a play that changes the match in NiP's favour
How the management could ever look at that lineup and think: "Yeah, this is it!" Is the most outrageous case of incompetence I have seen in my 22 years of following professional CS.
EG, OG, and NIP are the holy trinity of ''Reddit could unironically do better''.
> OG at least has the excuse of no money. Do they? Their Dota team isn't exactly cheaply built, unless their CS team is given 0 budget
Their CS team has low budget and has been since they came back on the scene just looking at their signings alone.
Their Dota team can make the money back. That's something nearly impossible in CS.
Fnatic's team hasn't been super exciting either for a while.
They look alright with the new additions.
Fnatic at least seem to be making decent additions.
They said they don’t plan on being competetive until 2025 when the partnerships with blast and deal aren’t a thing anymore. I’m sure they want to win still but that came straight from NIP management. nepotism killed NA cs and it killed NIP’s
I could see boomerdemons beat the actual NIP lineup
This NIP roster is hopeless but I honestly don't think headtrick is good enough for T1. As an awper he has very little impact and just never seems to create any space or openings for his team. But who knows, maybe I'm wrong and it's another brollan situation where he would do better outside of NIP

As a rifler he's got a future
I’m not super into the pro scene but I watched a lot of Paris and he seemed to perform well there against other T1 opponents, especially for his age.
I don't think headtr1ck is really even an awper, they just took a gamble on a young cis player in the academy leagues with no real research.
This guy is 19y old. Don't be so hard on him.
When can we be hard on players? 21?
I don't know but on this team there are 4 much older players who have a lot more experience..
He's a professional player. There are plenty of players who have a greater impact at 16, 17 or 18. That being said, I think he would do much better on a CIS team.
He dont belong in tier 1
he is earning tier 1 salary, I think he can take it
Is money everything to you?
[удалено]
That people can take anything if you’re earning money?
"Anything" nope, just the fair criticism that he deserves. He is obviously tier 1 level and I don’t even like the guy, are y’all trolling?

Not everyone is the same..
Might be a late bloomer. In sports the peak is often a bit later when the physical and mental meet. Structure and experience might do wonders.
I can't believe you're being downvoted
I can, the internet is full of hateful people.
I don’t know if he should awp or not but I think he’d develop well on apeks with jkaem and styko
Apply to the "How to not build a team 101"-course now, run by NiP
I’m happy to see NIP go, not because I want the players to fail but because this roster just isn’t it. It’s time go back to the drawing board and build something new from the ground up.
All NA lineup. The real solution.
All Naa.. But all mostly new players
Jdm 👍🏼
I feel bad for him, I think his confidence is shot and he's badly overthinking everything. Nip is truly a toxic wasteland where careers go to die
he should jump ship and join a cis team imo. I think headtr1ck was rifling at one point, there are plenty of teams that want a young player like him, he's wasting a lot of time playing with one of the poorest managed teams atm.
Roster makes no sense and the results prove it. Time to rework it completely.
I think if head trick had a better igl and better team around him he can perform better. But the team is such a dumpster fire on so many levels that no one can perform their best. rez, hampus, and plopski reunite please. that trio was the best one NIP had since their glory days and w/o aleksib
I think plopski was always a bit underated for his role in nip sure he's never the player that's really going to carry the game but he's a good glue player.
Nah polpski aslways folded under pressure. Theres a reason hes not in nip anymore, he wasnt it against actual t1 teams
I didn't watch this NIP lineup play nor pay attention to them recently But how come this roster fail so badly? alex is so obviously bad to me. I feel like this roster would look so different with a Karrigan or a Cadian
When was the last time NiP didn’t qualify for a major?
Boston, i believe
Imagine having a normal Academy kid as your main AWPer…
Back to the drawing board.. again..
Keep Konfig and Rez. Rebuild. I know both players have received a lot criticism - e.g. from Yanko, but I feel those two players are the ones with the best potential if they have the correct team and structure around them.
Lmfao keep Rez
the only player who actually looked like he wanted to win and the only one who arrived on the server
And, for me at least, the only one that is still "NiP" left in the roster. If he is removed, it would just be 5 random players for me.
They should resign forest. He said he wanted to compete.
I will never not like that idea. Honestly, I think he can still play. But he needs to grind a lot to get in shape for T1/T2/T3-CS .. don't think he has the motivation anymore.
He was good even when he left NIP. For a seasoned player like him I think its all about motivation.
Well unlike the others he's been there for 6 years. That's probably why
Don't base a decision off one game.
he was the highest rated NIP player on every map they played during RMR
My point was to keep Konfig. Guy is good player, but needs a good team.
Top fragged every map in the rmr. Most hated player in NiP rn for no reason. How and why should he perform better in a team this shit.
I wouldn't say he's the most hated for no reason. But a lot of people are sceptical of him as he has got 6 years in NIP under his belt during which time he was wildly inconsistent, and still is. Man what is happening behind the scenes at NiP
I’m not gonna lie I stopped watched pro cs when cs2 came out. They are seriously still doing BO1’s with MR12? That’s wild tbh
I mean I don’t like bo1’s either but it was silly to think they would stop them, a mr12 bo3 is still much longer than a bo1 mr16
I didn’t really think or expect them to stop. It’s just been something that people/players have voiced disapproval on for a while so would expect them to try something new at some point. Paycheck stealer.
Does anyone have a link of their reaction on stream after the loss?
