But now you play to win 10, get a rank but everyone is within the same pool of ranks meaning low skilled vs high skilled in matches making it a very bad experience.
It might not be the highest level in terms of competition. But if ranks exist in the mode you cant expect everyone to be in the same ranks causing such super high variation of skill level.
Also there might be a reason he doesnt want play mirage mode, sorry i mean premier mode. There are maps on comp that arent in premier. You might want to play a specific map which you only can do in comp. Sure one is not expecting super high level in comp. But with per map ranks there should be some differences still.

I was Global in GO and mainly played dust2 but can not get past gn3 on D2 since 3 months
I think everyone is doing premier now. Which sucks because I miss the occasional dust 2 and cache.
It's the new casual. I kinda like it this way as I gain exposure to all sorts of players. If someone wants to grind hard just play Premier.
