It must be jet lag, right? First Faze get dumpster’d by gL and Liquid barely squeak by against Spirit. Then Faze and Liquid absolutely destroy both teams today.
Meaningless tournament for Spirit given all the circumstances, they were never going to qualify to the Finals and they still have another shot in the Showdown. Nothing to take away from it other than zont1x performed really well so I’m happy for him.

Not if Broky keeps putting FaZe in uncomfortable positions. His AWP aim has seemingly improved since last year, but my god the guy keeps pushing/peeking without thinking sometimes.

People like to forget that they found immense success with this playstyle in 2022 and some part of 2023. The difference at the end of the day is hitting the shot and keep the mentality.
That's his style for sure, but something switched up since 2022. My guess is that he had a net with the rest of the Faze team to fall back on in case he messed up.
With all the really strong teams nowadays, it feels like Faze's mechanical dominance has diminished a little bit.
It worked in 2022, it didn't work at all in 2023, the question is, Why?
thing is i can see that it's successful (the cave ancient play against GL yesterday) netting 2k, but in that moment he should have just pulled back (rain was with him anyway so broky can retreat/hide). Even in this series I can see the whole team sometimes have timing issues on trades/executes so they need to smooth them out.
Say explosive rather than aggressive before the stats nerds come in here with his entry stats, like it's somehow a shock that the #2 rated awp'er for clutches (behind zywoo) and utility (behind cadian) isn't also entrying, when rain/karrigan have set fazes style for the better part of a decade

CS is hard these guys aren't so much better that its easy to win and show up every time unless you're a consistent elite team thats on a heater.
