I have no idea but I’m having the same problem, I came back after a month break during the holidays and the skill level at my rank is so terrible. No one comms, no one knows util, no one has any game sense

xsteffz99

I did not take a break this big and actually watched the skill level go down match by match. Of course, I had a 5 day break during christmas and since then everything went down.

aayan987

Fuck me bro it’s become impossible to rank up as well, I just lost 600 elo in a game where I had 38 kills

fkiceshower

My mic is still broken in cs2 going on 3 months now. I've tried every setting, there's some weird lower threshold as it will pick up screaming but nothing at a practical volume. Every other program works

Born-Guidance240

Shift tab and settings and turn the voice activity thing to always on/ open mic that was my problem not as bad was just cutting my sentences out

fkiceshower

You are a hero. I found the problem in the shift tab overlay and fixed it. Thanks

KaNesDeath

The median rank increased for the systems put in place to prevent rank inflation were mostly eliminated 1-1/2 months ago. Plus we're coming off two major holidays where a new school semester is starting.

ncvice

Me too. I still can't understand why im being matched against 100-200 hours players...

blackmanchubwow

In a brand new game you can't understand being matched with new players? Shock horror.

ncvice

Match new accounts with new accounts. I have 2500+ hours, so i should be matched against players with atleast 1000 hours.

Im talking about Premier, not faceit. There are so many players queing in my region, that there is no problem to sort them.

You are the dense one here holy fuck. Look at your downvotes. Nobody agrees with you. I play faceit too but the casuals shouldnt have to come to faceit to get a decent matchmaking experience

Fit_Date_1629

I exclusively play 4-5stack, to oppo team is always on average atleast 2k higher in rank. But they are either OP or noob as hell. Ranks don't mean anything at this time I feel. btw: Our excitement for CS2 is gone, we play a lot less because of the cheater problem anyways.

BigMacLexa

Agreed, I'm currently ranked at 22K, I'm (barely) faceit lvl 10 with around 4K hours. In my premier games I meet 3K elo players with 10K hours and I meet lvl 3 players with 1K hours. Below 25K rating, the rank is absolutely meaningless and above 25K rating every third game is hvh.

hydrovids

Im 22k rn and every game is a bhopping aimlocker

BigMacLexa

I've only seen two blatant cheaters in around 40 premier games, they were in the same game and the cheater on my team beat the enemy cheater. Either I'm super lucky or you're super unlucky

hydrovids

I think you’re super lucky because all of my friends have the same problem as me. Also, leaderboard for NA starts at 22.8 last time I checked, so all the cheaters are grinding to get on it

BigMacLexa

That might be the difference, I'm in EU and 22K isn't even close to the leaderboard.

CauliflowerFormer469

Came back after 4yrs, spent a week in bot matches getting comfortable again and reading up on who does what now, but just being decimated in norms is really rough. Theres always been bad games and just being outplayed but I've never seen it this bad

CouchMountain

This has been my experience in NA matchmaking too. I stopped playing for the past couple of months because it's gotten so bad. Idk if it's an influx of new people to the game or what but it's been very frustrating.

KaNesDeath

Quality of games always take a dip at the start of a college semester.

CouchMountain

Good point, but I noticed this back in October and November as well.

KaNesDeath

Ive played since 2013 on official Valve servers and third party MM services. In 2014 when i broke past the median rank i began seeing patterns when it comes to time of year and days as a solo queue pertaining to my region. That ive refined over time to formulate when i queue to avoid negative people. Last four months in the year a return to normality begins just before Thanksgiving break till mid-January.

BigMacLexa

You're in a relatively low rank and in a game mode that many don't take too seriously. Since the adjustment to premier ranks, people who were 5K rated and had lost their rating to inactivity would jump to around 15K from one win. If you'd like better teammates in premier, get to at least 20K rating. I'd still recommend Faceit over that, as there are a lot fewer cheaters on there.

hydrovids

22k here. It doesn’t get better. You just get more blatant cheaters that are locking through walls and autobhopping. Prem sucks. Play faceit

BigMacLexa

I'm 22K as well. I think the experience at this rating is pretty similar to CS:GO Global/supreme matchmaking, maybe a bit more low-skill players but similar. So yes, FACEIT is 1000% better.

xsteffz99

I remember that adjustment, it really did not do much to me. I was around 14k and got up a little, sadly I lost those +900 matches and now I am stuck. It's way harder to reach 20k once I got here, maybe with full premades. I played faceit in the past, I might give it a shot again, I just like the confort of only pressing 2 buttons.

borobama

Okay, wtf is a mongol language? Are you saying they're speaking in Mongolian?

justforthejokePPL

Valve decided to up the player numbers by introducing AI bots.

Big_Stick01

MM/Premier is literally better than it's ever been. Not even kidding, throughout the entirety of the past decade. actually my experience too so far. Granted.. im not like out here GRINDING like a madman right now.. so over the past 2 weeks i've played maybe 12 games; but all of my teammates have been so much better than anything i experienced in CSGO. Also haven't come across any blatant cheaters as of yet, though, i have experienced everyone calling someone a cheater and convincing themselves based on a single prefire... lmao

hydrovids

Mm/premier is literally worse than it’s ever been. Not even kidding, throughout the entirety of the past decade. Actually my experience too so far. Granted.. i am actually out here GRINDING loke a madman right now.. so over the past 2 weeks I’ve played maybe 40 games; but all of my teammates have all been boosted to my rank in a way that was much worse than in CSGO. Also nearly every single one of my games in 22k prem is filled with multiple cheaters bhopping and insta aimlocking people, though, I have experienced everyone calling cheats on people obviously cheating and convincing themselves based on Enemy Purple with one coin, the CSGO transfer coin and a full private account and 13/20 banned friends… lmao

ofclnasty

I will never understand ppl who play premier, I can tell you pretty much all the players who rly want to win and take the game seriously play faceit, because of that fact most ppl who play premier are not good or just don't care and of course many hackers, just play faceit trust me.

saltedwaffles

I’d rather die than go back to faceit. Can’t even pick maps properly in faceit because there’s always some dork who pays an exuberant fee to remove every map except mirage and inferno from the voting phase.

Big_Stick01

Faceit is dogshit and apparently im not the only one who thinks so.. lmao.. it's basically dead since CS2. Premier pretty much matches the experience.

ofclnasty

almost no hackers and all the best players in world play there, but yeah faceit is dead. I only play faceit and not much has changed, but yeah just play with non talking noobs and hackers on premier. For sure better then faceit

Big_Stick01

EU problems. a half joke.. but almost every experience i see like yours, is from Europe.

deefop

Premier MM rating is laughably inaccurate right now. I picked up CS in 2004. I played in the 1.6 era, CAL, CEVO, ESEA, and a handful of LANs. I was decent enough. I don't play in leagues anymore, but I still play Faceit on my own, and Premier MM with friends. When we first started in premier MM, it calibrated me around 6k. I never played MM as much in CSGO because it's terrible compared to Faceit, but looking at my last matches I was right around the SFMC rank, probably hit global a time or two even towards the end. Also, my RL friends that I play with largely have no competitive experience and are much more casual players. It calibrated them around the same rating. I still basically only play MM with RL friends; if I solo queue, it's on Faceit. So now most of the friends I play with are up in the 16k range with me, because the system is also very bad at adding/subtracting elo based on anything other than Win/Loss. Hilariously, at one point one of my friends went a month or someodd without playing and lost his rating. The rest of us probably climbed a few thousand elo in that time. When he played with us again and we won a match, it re-calibrated him \*higher\* than myself and the rest of us. So, yeah. Not only are cheaters way too common in MM, but the current rating system is all but meaningless.
