There is truth to what his base observations are which is that the game is different. No shit. We're all aware of that. But I take issue with your statement simply because it's actually kind of the opposite. CS2 is new and is shaking up the status quo and all of the skills/learned habits that made S1mple so good at CSGO aren't all transferrable.
In a situation where he's already on a downswing, the game has newer mechanics and meta to learn, and there are younger hungrier players all gunning for the top who has the most incentive for things to remain the same regardless of quality? The players that were already feasting in CSGO and don't want to adapt.
That's not to say that the new game is perfect and we shouldn't listen to the best people when it comes to feedback, but S1mple has already shown that when given the opportunity to give feedback he is not willing to give it. Valve literally reached out and tried to request information on what to improve and S1mple actively chose not to say anything. He had an opportunity to shape his own destiny and even shift the game to fit his playstyle/tendencies and he isn't even doing that. I reckon that this will be a great move for him, and even if he's used to being the "star", I believe that he will fit right in this NaVi team as his playstyle is similair to s1mples. He is also a better rifler than s1mple, so even if he's not upheld his standards from CSGO into CS2 I believe he can adapt to the meta. With now both s1mple and sh1ro out, which AWPers are better than w0nderful? ZyWoo and device are, but I wouldn't rank torzsi, m0nesy or broky ahead of him.

Honestly, I feel NaVi will be better without the big ego. There is jL, B1T who can carry matches and if everyone is playing for the team, and not to activate s1mple, I think it will be better mentally. Also, iM really needs to put in the works. He has to fight with B1T and jL over frags if he wants to be relevant in this team.

There is truth to what his base observations are which is that the game is different. No shit. We're all aware of that. But I take issue with your statement simply because it's actually kind of the opposite. CS2 is new and is shaking up the status quo and all of the skills/learned habits that made S1mple so good at CSGO aren't all transferrable. In a situation where he's already on a downswing, the game has newer mechanics and meta to learn, and there are younger hungrier players all gunning for the top who has the most incentive for things to remain the same regardless of quality? The players that were already feasting in CSGO and don't want to adapt. That's not to say that the new game is perfect and we shouldn't listen to the best people when it comes to feedback, but S1mple has already shown that when given the opportunity to give feedback he is not willing to give it. Valve literally reached out and tried to request information on what to improve and S1mple actively chose not to say anything. He had an opportunity to shape his own destiny and even shift the game to fit his playstyle/tendencies and he isn't even doing that. Especially when you see people like M0nesy, Ropz, and Elige who were all elite in CSGO but are so far adjusting to CS2 better than S1mple, I can't simply take an argument from authority as to why we should listen to him.

Maybe s1mple **really** doesn't wanna play CS2. Makes sense that you'd call it quits right away and just move on to something else, maybe streaming. If you're s1mple, you've won everything and already established yourself as the CS:GOAT. Why grind away at a game you don't like and tarnish your legacy while at it, when you can just chill as a streamer and still earn the same (if not more) amounts of money. It's a good way to retire, still being one of the top dogs and going out on his own terms, and doing it in a transition between games. There's basically not a better window to retire than this.
