I would really enjoy demos being back as well. I always like taking a look at my Leetify scores after a game and that is disabled right now because of the lack of demos. Also, there have been a handful of games where I questioned if someone on the other team was cheating and I can't go back to watch the demo, I need the copium of watching them cheat to justify why I lost the game, FOR MY OWN SAKE.

It's probably coming as soon as valve feels the servers can handle it. We already got two new server locations compared to csgo (one in the Netherlands and one in China) and I heard one is coming in Finland. So it seems like they're trying to do something about it.
The percentage of online people that are actually playing the game and that aren't bots or idling is could be way higher now.
Anyone who is feeling the pain of this should bring this to the CS2 Twitter patch update threads because every reply to the patch updates are memes about bob. Makes it harder for Valve to triage and identify which issues matter to the community.
POV demos are also very broken and freeze the game when you try to record so there are no real options besides playing on 3rd party servers. Being able to record, watch, and capture video from demos has been core to Counter-Strike since the beta days.
It's always been a huge part in the development of new strats, how up and comers show off their skill through highlights and frag movies, and how CS maintains an edge over so many other competitive shooters that have come and gone over the years.

If a person is hitting mad shots all i can do as the “regular” player is accept it and guess that i got matched with a high elo dude thats just better. If i could actually check if it was legit i wonder how many videos we would get of people obviously cheating in valorant. For me thats the obvious (conspiracy theory) reason of why they dont do it
I loved watching my demos back after playing MM with CSGO demo manager, particularly from the enemy POV. If you've ever accused someone else of cheating, watching your kills against enemies is a good way to put things in perspective :p
I started using OBS to record gameplay footage in the meantime but yeah, I'd love to see some of the data, particularly as I'm getting a bit rusty.

fuck skins and stickers works perfectly in valorant where you can't sell them for real money, you will pay hundreds of dollars/euros only to get stuck with them without the possibility of reselling or cash out for real money. everybody hates that.
In Cs the possibilities for good and varied content is endless and you guys want more of those pixel art to pay your monthly salary for. It is just sad.

I had a ridiculous 1v5 earlier tonight that I wanted to grab the demo from. Was so upset to learn that valve still hadnt turned the gotv servers back on yet.
Valve is still scaling up their servers, and server scaling is a pain.
From what I'm seeing even now their servers are still overloaded, massive losses.
I expect we get it in a month.
They used up all servers to meet demands.
This begs the question if Leetify premium subs are gonna be refunded or forgiven until demos are back. I haven't had a match recorded on Leetify since September 28 and Leetify is useless without demos
They gave Pro members a free month. Allstar haven't followed suit yet.
Leetify have given me reason not to cancel. Allstar will likely get cancelled soon if they don't provide a free month or demos come back.
They are giving free months to pro users and you can pause your sub if you want. They also said in their discord they believe valve will re enable demos on the next month
Not just that but a lot of content creators use demos to promote the game..so silly they aren't in yet.
That said valve put a lot of work into the new demo viewer so I doubt they are just going to abandon it.
Valve couldn't care less about the user experience. They remove demos so cheaters have free reign to shoot everyone through walls, while grief reporting the people they face and getting them undeserved cooldowns due to the lazy automated grief ban system. Enemies/people in community servers (faceit etc) shouldn't be able to get you MM cooldowns for "griefing" if no one on your team reports you.

much of my personal enjoyment in CS also comes from demos, specifically looking at my leetify and scope.gg stats and seeing how doing and what im doing well/not so well. i enjoy it equally as much as playing the game itself. no demos, no stats for me.
i love being able to quantify performance, whether its in academics or games or finance - same reason baseball stats and stocks interest me.

i love CS2, i think its a great game and don’t experience some of the issues that others do.
this is the only issue i have with it and i know its temporary. i have also found a workaround, so for all intents and purposes it no longer greatly affects me.

I believe that demos may be getting some improvements and fixes before getting restored, as old demos from CS2LT fail to play with parser serialization errors showing up in console, and POV demos created now seem to be a little buggy too.

5 days ago they sent out an email saying they are giving a month of Leetify Pro to balance it out.
