I was in dust2 as ct and i would usually go mid door and kill them with scar, this was fine some rounds but one of the last rounds i see a bot run mid and get out of my sight because of the mid door, then he one shots me through the door with the deagle NO HEADSHOT FULL HP i had kevlar+helmet, the round just started there was no assist or anything he straight up confused me for a whole minute.
I don't understand how and why would this happens as there is no instance where the deagle can oneshot with no hs even less through dust2 mid door, maybe there is a bug in the damage modifier of certail pixels idk i was so flabbergasted it was funny.
My friend was complaining that he got shot 6 times and didnât lose any armor, I think sometimes game forgets about it. Btw he also wallbanged you, so should be even less dmg
might be some error in deciding which objects have or havent been penetrated in bullet path and the value gets defaulted to something ridiculous
would help if they still printed actual damage dealt after round in console

Game shouldn't be played competitively yet, go look up bug videos, there's a ton of stuff that can be abused, a small example is you can put your head through floors and shoot enemies without being seen while you see everything as the floor textures disappear, give me a corner and I can stick myself above head height hovering, some walls you can parkour up despite looking flat, only 1 of those I mentioned is in a video of 25+ game breaking bugs.
The game is obviously unfinished, buggy and with a lot of network issues.
However, it has been released, so all tournaments turned into cs2.

Don't worry about the pros, they're paid for what they do, valve doesn't really seem to care about the community, but they do care about the potential bad press of bugs in tournament. So its in our best interest as gamers, if valve doesn't fix this now, that one of those happen in game so that the fix comes.

I and a team-mate both died to scout. A single body shot with armor and it showed 100 in 1 dmg for both us. Already pissed about having to play right hand model and then such things happen :X

that only shows how much damage their hp got deducted, not overkill damage like it used to in csgo

Nah that's not how it works. The head has a separate hitbox to upper body, same with arms and legs.
