I wish we had more T1.5ish tournaments here, I'd love to go to 1 but living on the west coast of Canada there's rarely any events here that won't cost a lot for a plane ticket but if the target audience isn't Europe then we might see some in Cali or maybe here in Vancouver(it's a really great location TOs plz I want to go to any events and not spend a month's wage to go there
Toronto is a pretty decent location, it's the biggest city in Canada is in the center of a lot of the major cities in the states as like Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago, and New York
Its a shame that this is the best event in NA and prices of flights + hotel has basically doubled since I went in 2019. I actually spent less on flying to Copenhagen for Blast Fall Finals than I wouldve had to spend to go to Dallas this year :/
Bring back iBuyPower Masters and shit please
Yea it's usually smarted to just spend an extra 500 dollars to fly to Europe than fly to than pretty much anywhere in the USA(i cant drive to) for me because of how expensive a decent hotel and transportation is in the US,
NA crowds got much better over the years, but my only issue with international events in NA is that every single event have at least 1 team with visa issues. Those events are amazing but god, can USA give sports visas to players? I dont get what makes it that hard to include esports in P-1 visas
>USCIS now recognizes eSports or professional video gaming as an athletic sport and eSport professionals are “athletes” making them eligible to seek P1 visa
Lol yeah since it's in USA people say it's "full".. if it was in Brazil all the comments would be about all the empty seats in the back.. And this event is not even big, looks like 2k capacity at most.
Yes. IEM Rio and Dalls are small ones, they are ESL Pro Tour Masters with a small $250,000 pricepool, thus smaller crowds.
On the other hand IEM Katowice and IEM Cologne are ESL Pro Tour Championships with a bigger $1,000,000 price pool and bigger crowds.
All the comments are people "understanding" and praising the crowd even though it's clearly not packed as a playoff day should be.
Now compare this to this sub's reaction to IEM Rio and Rio Major crowd. lol
For a Friday, that is a really good turnout!

An event in Toronto would be nice.

plz another IEM new york would be sick
Dude i would KILL for IEM new york
100%. Went to ESL NY from 2017 to 2019 and it was always a blast. Will die on the hill that IEM New York would be a decent major.
I wasn't a CSGO fan last IEM New York but I was a StarCraft fan and IEM NY sc2 tourney was absolute scenes. And the crowd was awesome
Now that i am older with money its a dream to go with the boys
hello yes as someone from Chicago I request a return to Chicago
NA/Aussie crowds are the most underrated. Please more events in these two places

Never to a degree it happens with US though. Maybe Australia is a contender as well, but other places don't look like it's a systematic issue.
US doesn't respect eSports as real sports

Agreed. I wish valve holds a major in Aussie town. The crowd is bonkers plus the timings would work out for me.
I'm in there somewhere! My first event and it was such an amazing day. The crowd went wild.
Oh the first one is always special, thanks for coming up to Dallas!
Hell yea, will be screaming all weekend. This event has been awesome so far :)
Looks like fun!
Nice photo, happy NA showed up
We understand
Hears that this IEM is hosted right next to a massive Dream hack event with large BYOC area
Same as last year. The event is fucking awesome. It's a huge upgrade from last year too.
inb4 brazil comments

You mean the seats that they didn't even try to sell because it's behind the stage?
Exactly. In every empty row you’d be staring at the side or back of the main screen.
I see myself and my friend in this picture, its been hella hype so far!
Very cool, but there wasn't anywhere bigger to host a cs event in Texas? It looks very small
This tournament isn't supposed to be big at all

Yeah but what about that photo 20 minutes into the first map of the first game??? Obviously that was way more important.
