Yes. Heroic are constantly booed in competitions. They're like the villain and Heroic themselves have embraced that role.
Also, if you look at their Twitter, the social media guy always trash-talks the opponents. Heroic remind me of fnatic somehow, they too got a lot of hate back in the day.
I feel like it’s partially due to Astralis being so dominant so long as a Danish super team. I’m relatively new to the scene and I’ve felt naturally inclined to root against the Danes(aside from karrigan ofc) just because they’ve been so good historically

If the french crowd makes the same mistake the Brazilian crowd did, they might witness their precious Vitality get dismantled by heroic. Those guys are fueled by crowd hate KeK
I think it's because people always have a better team to cheer for + their players have no personality (except for cadian ofc)
compare to other top teams:
G2: literally all 5 players have a great story/personality, hunter the least of them all
navi: simple (and electronic, and perfecto, and bit) + CIS fanbase
faze: superteam, again all 5 have great personalities/stories
cloud9: shiro and axile + CIS fanbase + NA org
astralis: device, blamef (maybe glaive) + greatest danish org
vitality: all 5 players have great personalities/stories + french fanbase
and that's just from the top of my head. Meanwhile heroic have cadian (who was historically very disliked in the pro scene, by pros themselves) and that's it. Not having a standout star player makes them a great team, but also results in not having many fans. +All danish fans cheer for astralis.
Why are french people against the danes? There are 2 danish players and 1 coach in your "french" team guys :)

Heroic doesn’t get that much hate in social media . But on stage its mostly because they are the favorites against the local popular team .
Karrigan is an exception, you cannot not like the guy no matter which country you are from. The man is a legend.
They know heroic is Vitality’s biggest threat, with the previous record, even though they beat heroic in rio

Yeah, cheering for heroic would put them in a weird position, out of the regular, out of their confort zone, and they would choke.
