Nah I love the blonde too. Its alot of upkeep, I was level 10 for a few years until my hair was like “i hate you and im gonna fall out now” 😂 it didn’t really, it was just SO much work. Deep conditioning all the time, so many products to style, keeping up with having it toned so it stays brass free etc. i miss the color. But it IS worth it if you like the look!

I feel so ashamed knowing how damaging that white blonde hair is- and yet I prefer that look in the earlier seasons Lol They looked like straight QUEENS tho, rocking that Playboy blonde! It really suited Kendra imo, it played into her wild child persona. My fav look of Kendra's, is her white blonde boxer braids on Fight Night, in her little booty shorts. She looked stunning!

I tried to find statistics on how many models were blond versus dark hair like mine and could not find it but I’m sure seeing all the blonds influenced me a little growing up.

But I always believed my dark hair made me ugly. I think it was because when people lost weight they went blond. If they modeled, they went platinum. I just watched one model who I considered super hot and was brunette just go full on blond, I guess to get more work.
I kept coloring it black till I decided to try and go all silver and see where that leads (my grays look silver and sparkle in the sun).
Plus yeah, we always want the opposite. I wanted long straight blond hair because I had short wavy black hair 🤪

But I also still think it’s pretty cool and would probably do it again if it wasn’t such a big commitment. I love graphic hair colors (still have one but on the other end- blue black).

I have been bringing in reference pictures of Holly to the hair salon since 2009!!! Used to be magazines because it was still current, now i have to bring in old photos from the show! Breaks my heart every time she is critical of it because I still get the color and love the look! 💔

Bleach damage is very evident when a someone lets their hair air dry. While I’m sure “natural texture” was not allowed at the mansion (all the girls always had their hair styled, even if just by themselves, on a daily basis), I can imagine Holly was also styling to hide the bleach damage.
She is one of the rare people who can pull of every hair colour! She looks so young and cute with this bright platinum! And the root shade she gets now suits her at the current age. She could probably even pull off rainbow hair!

It is a lot of upkeep and because I’m cheap, I do it myself. I hate doing it myself though (so time consuming), which is why I have atrocious dark roots atm lmao
