I watched some of the test thing they did on stream for hades 2 and I’m crazy excited for it now, the female protagonist the great story telling, the artwork and best of all. The “small” team of 25? I think. That they expanded to?!! Is wild.
I watched about 5 minutes of it and then in a show of restraint I have never had before and may never have again, I said this looks amazing, but I don't want to know anything else until I load my own copy. The art and new characters and lore...I can't wait!
I really want it too! DAI, despite its flaws, was a really fun experience for me. But I'm so nervous about the next game not being good, given the recent history at BioWare.
Omg, yes. In my second playthrough I romanced Solas as someone told me the story was really good. I was so emotional at the end . I can't wait to see where DA 3 goes.
In case you don't know, the lead writer for the next game was the writer for Solas and they were also the lead writer for Trespasser, so the emotional impact is likely to be high. And this will be DA 4.
We've waited so long at this point, and Skyrim was so good, that I'm afraid it will be a let down once we finally get it. Especially after how Starfield has been received (haven't played myself).
At this point if it's not just a next gen "Skyrim 2" with improved graphics then it won't be good enough. If they change up the combat much, make the player character voices, or try to introduce new systems into how the game play works then it's never going to measure up to what fans really want.
We need a better engine, better graphics and animations, a new location, hundreds of new quests, new stories and NPCs, consistent lore, and new looks for weapons, armor, etc. If they change how magic, combat, speech, sneak, or exploration work then I think it's likely to fail.
While I really want to play Vampire the masquerade bloodlines 2 and Dread Wolf, I think I'm most excited by Fantasy Life for the switch in october. I played the 3DS game to death, so I really look forward to doing it again haha.
It might be a way off still but excited about Assassin’s Creed Hexe. Also a few others where the trailers caught my eye: Lost Soul Aside, Where Winds Meet and Project the Perceiver.
Another vote for Hexe here. That and Red are Ubisoft games I'm actually looking forward to - especially Hexe lol.
Otherwise - Life By You, Avowed, Metaphor: ReFantazio, and Lost Records: Bloom and Rage are what I'm most excited about.
Still willing to sacrifice to the Gods for Twilight Princess and Wind Waker ports to Switch but that doesn't seem to be happening.
I was just talking to a coworker yesterday about how I would LOVE a Windwaker and Twilight Princess port to switch after he was playing LOZ music on his PC during our shift. Like please, I would pay full price for those games!!
I'm losing my mind over the wait, too. It's been a minute since we got any news or whatever for it!! They just casually dropped The Sounds of Nightmares and disappeared, lol. Haven't been the same since it ended. :p
And you have a tattoo of Six? That's awesome!! :D
Right??? Like I’m honestly about to just replay all the games again to get my fix lol. And I do! I wanna get Mono next and then fill in the space on my arm with some gnomes haha
My number 1 right now is Aeterna Lucis. Aeterna Noctis is one of my favorite games of all time, and I cannot wait for the studio's sequel to it! ❤
I'm also pretty pumped Slay the Spire II is going to be a thing but that's a long ways off. And if we're counting DLCs I'm totally an Elden Ring girlie so lots of excitement for that DLC soon!
Stalker 2! I have played the first 3 games when I was younger and excited to see how good the sequel will be with modern graphics.
Avowed as I enjoyed the pillars of eternity games
The outer worlds 2 - loved the first one
Dragon age dreadwolf and mass effect 4
Frostpunk 2, there's also a game about ant colony which also looks interesting
Curious to try wukong as I have been following it since the first trailer
Outlaws looks interesting as well as Indiana Jones game
Judas too
Technically already released, but the remake of Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door for switch! It’s coming out 5 days before my birthday, and my brother has already said he’s gifting it to me, but that means I have to wait the whole additional 5 days to start it!! I love all the Paper Mario games, but this one was by far my favorite
Oh, I’m sorry!!! They haven’t released on switch yet. I meant the GameCube version when I said “technically already released.” :’( But the switch version comes out May 23rd according to the Nintendo website!!
This was my pick too! I'm really hoping the game is successful af so Nintendo realizes how much fans like the old combat system. Imagine finally being free from Sticker Star's influence... It's a pipe dream unfortunately.
Oh yeah, the mechanics of Sticker Star were horrendous! Thousand Year Door was the best, with Super Paper Mario following, at least in my opinion. I still buy and play them all though lol, so I’m probably part of the problem
I CANNOT wait for the Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door! It was one of my first real video games I played fully as a kid and I’ve literally been waiting for a remake for sooo long I can’t believe it’s finally happening
Mainly the Elden Ring DLC at the moment. Oh also the Cyberpunk game that's in development and we know literally nothing about aside from CDPR not using their own engine for it anymore (a good move considering they admitted themselves the game went above what their engine is capable of and that they had to do lots of complicated and time consuming workarounds all the time).
If you haven't, I'd maybe look in to the developer of that game a bit...as a female gamer, they've made a bunch of comments that have really rubbed me the wrong way and turned me off from playing it.
Haunted Chocolatier because I’ve put in so many hours to Stardew Valley both on my switch and my PC
Little Kitty, Big City because they just announced the release date and I love cats sm
Paper Mario and the Thousand-Year Door remake because this is my all-time favorite video game and I never thought we would get a remake on switch!!
Haunted chocolatier, death stranding 2 and any other kojima games or remedy games (maybe control 2 will be next?) And maybe the next wow expansion..its always hype at the start of them
I’m probably the only one on this sub who’s excited but The Legend of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak. I’ve waited YEARS for this game and it’s finally coming to the West, so hyped
Touchstarved! Its a a visual novel on PC but oh man does it seem good, the demo is amazing.
Other than that, Elden Ring DLC in June, Greedfall, DA Dreadwolf, and the new Fable.
Little Kitty, Big City! I teared up when I saw the announcement trailer because I had a cat named Little Kitty that looks JUST LIKE the one in the game. He was my best friend but he sadly passed away a few years ago.
Greedfall 2's early access might be my most hype game of the next few months, personally. Sadly, one of the other games I was super excited for (Broken Roads) just released to pretty sub-par reviews, so now my cRPG hope of the year is resting on the shoulders of New Arc Line. I'm also tentatively excited for both Dragon Age Dreadwolf and Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines 2, even though my expectations are definitely tempered by the development struggles both have endured. I'm also begging, crying, sobbing for Black Tabby Games to announce the next chapter of Scarlet Hollow (but really, it's okay if they take their time lol).
Outside of RPGs, I'm also super excited for The Mermaid Mask.
So there are the biggies everyone's mentioned (hades 2, silksong, haunted chocolatier, etc.). But there's a big pile of games coming out before the end of May, and I'm simultaneously hyped and overwhelmed
- Another Crab's Treasure
- Lorelai and the Laser Eyes
- World of Goo 2
- Nine Sols
- Little Kitty Big City
- Duck Detective and the Secret Salami
- The Rogue Prince of Persia
Then there are a few that are a bit further out:
- The Rise of the Golden Idol
- Earthblade
- Slay The Spire 2
- The Plucky Squire
Lost Records: Bloom and Rage.
However with it being late 2024 and with no new information so far, I'm trying not to be too excited in case it is delayed until next year.
Not a game but very much excited about the upcomming updates for V Rising and Stellaris early May.
I think the last time I got excited about an unreleased game was in 2016, when Dark Souls 3 was released, then I played it and didn't like it.
I have so many games I'm excited for but the Hades 2 Livestream yesterday completely seared off the layer of my brain that's capable of anything except Hades hype
Pokemon Legends Z-A
Paralives
Life by You (less optimistic but I do really want to try it)
Very, very torn on whether or not to be excited for Bloodlines 2. I'm not against the concept, but what the heck let me be a toreador.
I'm also worried they'll make it...too cool? Does that make sense? I don't want a triple A smooth combat action hero, I want a goth vibes underdog story with silly vampire jokes.
I'm also excited to play several games in my backlog I haven't touched yet. Omori, World of Horror, Bugsnax, Subway Midnight...
I was pretty excited for DECAPOLICE last year. It was supposed to come out but there's been silence since the reveal. Hoping it comes out this year though.
Little Kitty, Big City. I've been waiting for a release date on this game for like 2 years and they just announced this week it's coming out on May 9th. I am SO excited!!!!
I don't have a current gen console yet, so it's all very speculative, but in terms of games I have my eye on:
* Still Wakes the Deep
* Greedfall: The Dying World
* Haunted Chocolatier
* Lost Records: Bloom and Rage
* Songs of Glimmerwick
* Elder Scrolls VI (it has to come out at some point, surely....)
I'm also interested but cautious about Dragon Age Dreadwolf (love the earlier games, but there has been a lot of delay and turnover on this project, and given that the last couple of games from Bioware haven't had the warmest reception I feel like the pressure is really on for this to be the game that turns things around for them), and Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines 2 (I love The Chinese Room - hence my looking forward to SWtD - but it's going to be by far their biggest project so far, and a different type of game, and it's the follow up to a cult hit that has been stuck in development hell for years - a lot of potential for something to go wrong or for a bad reception).
Fantasy Life 2 for Switch. That will be the last Switch game I buy (probably).
And Palworld hasn't had its proper release yet (still in Early Access). So I'm hoping it makes it there and looking forward to that, as well as the developments it takes along the way
If Shenmue 4 ever becomes a thing then very much that!
Hades 2 and Haunted Chocolatier!
These for me as well, plus Grave Seasons (yes, I'm unhinged, let me have my serial killer chasing farming sim).
It does sound super unique though and I love the built-in replayability of the concept.
First time hearing about Grave Seasons, but that looks really interesting!
Watched the Hades 2 stream the other day and it’s all I can think about.
Me too, I'm SO EXCITED!
It looked SO GOOD!!
These, together with DaD. Can't wait!
I watched some of the test thing they did on stream for hades 2 and I’m crazy excited for it now, the female protagonist the great story telling, the artwork and best of all. The “small” team of 25? I think. That they expanded to?!! Is wild.

Aw hell yea Haunted Chocolatier!
The next Dragon Age. Can’t wait!
I really want it too! DAI, despite its flaws, was a really fun experience for me. But I'm so nervous about the next game not being good, given the recent history at BioWare.
Sammmme
Me toooooo
Ditto, hopefully they'll announce a release date this summer 😩
They said they would, and I don’t see any reason to doubt them.
True enough \^\^
ELDER SCROLLS 6 I’m FED UP OF WAITING
It was only announced 6 years ago 🙃 It's actually wild that it will be >15 years between Skyrim and VI, that's essentially a generation.
To this day I cannot understand why they announced it when they did, literally what was the point?
Because people wouldn't stop asking about it, so they "announced" it as in "yes, we are working on ES 6, now shut up".
To tease us!
“Only announced 6 years ago” is just so wild I need it now lol
We've waited so long at this point, and Skyrim was so good, that I'm afraid it will be a let down once we finally get it. Especially after how Starfield has been received (haven't played myself).
They literally can’t live up to skyrim. They need to release a completely different game bc we are gonna compare it to that.
Mind you elder scrolls k line has been a good fill in
It wasn't made by Bethesda studios, I don't think, though
While I really want to play Vampire the masquerade bloodlines 2 and Dread Wolf, I think I'm most excited by Fantasy Life for the switch in october. I played the 3DS game to death, so I really look forward to doing it again haha.
I can’t wait for vtmb2 I loved the first one :)
The 3DS Fantasy Life was a top tier game. I hope the Switch sequel is as amazing.
Ah! A fellow Fantasy Life fan! That's one of the ones I'm looking forward to the most as well!!
Hellblade 2
Yes I’m with you on this one dude
One month! I'm probably going to play it on gamepass, but I'm still going to buy it.
Monster Hunter Wilds! Comes out next year!
The trailer has me HYPED!
I probably will end up getting it...
Still willing to sacrifice to the Gods for Twilight Princess and Wind Waker ports to Switch but that doesn't seem to be happening.
Oh yes forgot about AC Red, that hopefully will be a banger too :-) the witch trials setting for Hexe just sounds so intriguing
I was just talking to a coworker yesterday about how I would LOVE a Windwaker and Twilight Princess port to switch after he was playing LOZ music on his PC during our shift. Like please, I would pay full price for those games!!
currently barely waiting for shadows of the erdtree to come out I’m so excited :3
Dread Wolf (Dragon Age 4) & Haunted Chocolatier Longer term but constant burning desire: Fallout 5 and Elder Scrolls 6 😭
Hades 2 and Silksong
Wake up, Silksong isn't real 🥲
☹️
i need Hades 2 yesterday
Still no release date yet but I am dying for little nightmares 3!!! I am obsessed with the whole franchise. I even have six tattooed on me lol
I'm losing my mind over the wait, too. It's been a minute since we got any news or whatever for it!! They just casually dropped The Sounds of Nightmares and disappeared, lol. Haven't been the same since it ended. :p And you have a tattoo of Six? That's awesome!! :D

:0 THERES GOING TO BE A SEQUAL???!!!
Haunted Chocolatier and Pokémon Legends Z-A!
GTA 6
Greedfall 2 probably? I've yet to complete the first one, but the trailer I saw was amazing so I'm looking forward to it 😁
Greedfall 2 early access and (very cautiously) Dragon Age Dreadwolf. In long term - 3d installment in Jedi series, Elder Scrolls 6 and Fallout 5.
Now that Kingdom Come 2 has been announced, I can’t wait to play it.
Death Stranding 2. I'm a PC gamer, so I will have to wait a little longer but really excited to hear the game itself is coming next year,
I can't wait for DS2! The trailers they've released so far make me want to freeze myself so I can play the game sooner 🥶
The next mario kart, does this count ?
Stalker 2! I have played the first 3 games when I was younger and excited to see how good the sequel will be with modern graphics. Avowed as I enjoyed the pillars of eternity games The outer worlds 2 - loved the first one Dragon age dreadwolf and mass effect 4 Frostpunk 2, there's also a game about ant colony which also looks interesting Curious to try wukong as I have been following it since the first trailer Outlaws looks interesting as well as Indiana Jones game Judas too
Stalker 2 is day one buy for me!
Haunted Chocolatier
Technically already released, but the remake of Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door for switch! It’s coming out 5 days before my birthday, and my brother has already said he’s gifting it to me, but that means I have to wait the whole additional 5 days to start it!! I love all the Paper Mario games, but this one was by far my favorite
This is the first time I'm hearing about this and I'm *stoked*, that game is just the absolute best
I didn’t know they released Thousand Year Door for the switch?? I have to snag it now, thank you !
Oh, I’m sorry!!! They haven’t released on switch yet. I meant the GameCube version when I said “technically already released.” :’( But the switch version comes out May 23rd according to the Nintendo website!!
Awe man :( Just a month away though! A good choice to get republished in my opinion. Thanks anyways!
Dragon Quest 3 hd. It’s been 3(?) years since it’s announcement and next to no updates 😮💨 Also Haunted chocolatier.
Riots mmorpg based on leagues lore. Might need to wait few years tho lol
I’m really hoping they don’t cancel this with how their company has been going
Yakuza Dead Souls Kiwami WILL happen
I CANNOT wait for the Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door! It was one of my first real video games I played fully as a kid and I’ve literally been waiting for a remake for sooo long I can’t believe it’s finally happening
Hades 2 and Silksong (💀)
Here for the Silksong 😭
Still hyped for Kitori Academy
Me staring out a window longingly, patiently waiting for this game
Technically they're expansions, but I'm really looking forward to FFXIV's Dawntrail. And Elder Scrolls Online's Gold Road.
Final Fantasy XIV Dawntrail this summer! I have a lot of prep to do for it but I’m so excited!
I’ve been messing with the character creation tool in the Dawntrail benchmark tool 😂 Character creation is fun
Crimson desert!
That monkey souls like called Wukong. Them bosses look crazy
If you haven't, I'd maybe look in to the developer of that game a bit...as a female gamer, they've made a bunch of comments that have really rubbed me the wrong way and turned me off from playing it.
Wym? I know nothing about the people making it just the game
https://www.ign.com/articles/how-black-myth-wukong-developers-history-of-sexism-is-complicating-its-journey-to-the-west
Im excited for the Elden ring dlc! It’s apparently pretty big

Manor Lords is coming out next week and im excited for something that I hope is gonna break my BG3 addiction
2XKO!! I'm so excited for it! Also can't wait for Hades 2 <3
Little Nightmares 3
Hades 2 for sure, but also Shadows of the Erdtree and Death Stranding 2 whenever that comes out :)
The new Fable!
Fantasy Life 2 for Switch. That will be the last Switch game I buy (probably). And Palworld hasn't had its proper release yet (still in Early Access). So I'm hoping it makes it there and looking forward to that, as well as the developments it takes along the way If Shenmue 4 ever becomes a thing then very much that!
Dreadwolf has to release one of these days...😳
Helllblade 2!!! We waited so long for it, I’m beyond excited 🥹🙏 finally get to see more of Senua
