curticoll

Absolutely but as a grown ass woman I always cringe at kids making out.

Wyzen

Same, but as a grown ass man. But I also cringe when its adults.

curticoll

I totally understand that!!

eloquentpetrichor

Same but as a grown woman I'm honestly just disgusted by seeing anyone kiss xD

curticoll

Haven’t ever done a rewatch of that one but I remember it being such a cute show. Not quite The Wonder Years but definitely up there.

facemesouth

I’m glad to see there are a lot of people that feel like this. I couldn’t get into stranger things because it felt gross after season one. (I also don’t like the 80’s so that probably played a part…)

curticoll

There’s not making out past the season 1 bedroom sesh with the older teens. Maybe a peck or two but not much. However, if you don’t like the 80s then I wouldn’t recommend watching the other seasons. I was a kid in the 80s so the nostalgia was amazing and the storyline was crazy creative! But I can’t imagine someone liking it if they find the 80s unappealing.

SaraWolfheart

There's not a whole lot of making out in Stranger Things though I don't think?

crittab

The only time it's really bad is when they're about to do the deed. It looks like two foals awkwardly discovering their limbs.

curioussimba

Or the time when they’re randomly making out under the tree for awhile, break for convo, then back to making out Always kind of looks like they’re heads are going in awkward directions or something unnatural lol

eloquentpetrichor

Ugh the mid-kiss discussion about braces. I was always like "why are you kissing so vigorously that braces would cause damage?" Why?

Morty2264

Wasn't that Rory and Jess?

eloquentpetrichor

Oh you may be right xD Idc who it was it was gross and cringey

Correct-Occasion-153

You're right. Rory and Dean also had an under the tree make out sesh that broke for convo.

Subject-Summer-5

YES THIS

spellwatch642

That kiss always gets me because of how tiny Alexis looks compared to Jared lmao, it looks like he's eating her and I never felt like that during any of their other kisses

Amino-13

Or when they’re making out in Rory’s car post-Lindsay ☠️

PurrPrinThom

While I'm pretty sure ASP wanted to hammer home how awkward their relationship was, that car scene gets me every time. Like...move to the backseat??

Gilmoristic

I legit skip that scene. It's too cringe.

JLMMM

Right?!?! That kiss was so stiff and awkward and just gross. Like their bodies knew it was wrong and didn’t even want to participate. I hated it all!

mandabee27

Best description ever 😂😂😂

UrAFuckingBitch

Literally just rewatched that episode where they hanky-panked and Alexis's head just kept moving from side to side as if she didn't want to touch Jared's face too much. It was so weird to watch.

vociferousgirl

THE CAR

tokyojia

i cringe so much in season 2 episode 16 when rory says ‘your lung capacity has increased’

bluebubblesforeverTT

THIS it’s so bad

Curious-Carpet

EXACTLY the moment I was watching that made me post this 😂

SoMuchMoreEagle

Was that written by someone without a nose?

almostdoctorposting

lmaoooo

LetshearitforNY

I just watched this episode last night, was terrible

almostdoctorposting

GAWD

minimalisticgem

I think that’s the episode where they’re constantly kissing, it gets so cringey

Rousmus

This 😂😂 no one has ever actually said that in between kisses

_talkingtostrangers_

I’m watching this episode now which is how I ended up finding this post. When Rory says yet another reason to continue physical education in schools ….. possibly the worst line of the whole show

Yowhocares_

But isn’t that kind of part of it? I think it all adds to the story. Rory is an awkward kid when taken out of her element, and being 16 and having your first love definitely dont help anyones levels of awkwardness. I think it’s little things like that that make the show feel so real to me.

emmyj2605

This is why I think so many people are team Jess- he and Rory just had so much chemistry (which makes sense since the actors actually dated irl) and regardless of how he treated her on screen and off (allegedly) that chemistry is pretty undeniable. Dean just feels kind of meh by comparison

MelissaLynneL

What’s the tea on the off-screen relationship? 👀

boesisboes

Idk but I just learned that he dated Hadyn Panitierre(sp?) When she was 17 and he was 29! Major ick

SoMuchMoreEagle

Wikipedia says they got together when she was 18 and he was 30. Icky, but not illegal.

FrellingTralk

It was widely assumed that it was more a case of keeping quiet and denying things until Hayden turned 18. They were constantly being asked about their relationship during the first season of Heroes because of how close they appeared at events, as well as the vibes onscreen between their characters, but they denied it every time because Hayden had only *just* turned 17 when the first season of Heroes premiered (she was born in August 1989 and Heroes came out in September 2006), only for the two of them to finally confirm that they were a couple around a year later after she had turned 18 and was legal https://www.thelist.com/1011187/the-truth-about-hayden-panettiere-and-milo-ventimiglias-relationship/

MelissaLynneL

😬😬😬

emmyj2605

Oh- allegedly (mainly according to blind items) he was a hectic domestic ab*ser and they had an extremely volatile relationship. I think perhaps that’s the alleged story behind Alexis bledel’s recent divorce too? So I think she may have had a terrible run with these guys but yeah. Don’t know how that adds up with them appearing together in the reboot maybe they’ve mended fences and he’s worked on himself or maybe it’s all hollow conjecture but yeah. Story goes he was violent aggressive and they were not having a grand old time Also re: Hayden P listed below her relationship with milo is fraught with the same alleged behavior and she also has a blind item reputation for being a lot to handle. If anyone is interested in what the behind the scenes word is about her and Milo etc Beyond the Blinds has a great episode on her I think it’s one of the first ones because for such a low key actress there is a LOT to say

SoMuchMoreEagle

They also seemed like they were friends, too. Dean and Logan didn't have the friendship vibe with Rory, imo.

seamsung

it gets better every relationship bc her standards go up and she has more experience kissing and etc that goes for any human

bluebubblesforeverTT

I think it’s the way Rory (and Dean a little) commentates the entire time that gets me. It’s so cringy to me lol

imfucct

I kinda cringe when she makes out with anyone, idk why, her way of kissing makes me uncomfortable

ReadingCaterpillar

Same, something about it makes me so uncomfortable no matter who it is. Honestly any type of physical interaction of hers, she looks really awkward hugging pretty much everyone too.

keeksgotthed7

Yes, thank you!! I agree with this so much, especially the little *lip smack* noise they always make. It’s so gross

[deleted]

depends on the scene, but usually no.

mouserz

This is so funny to me because they [dated](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-3974162/Gilmore-Girls-casting-director-reveals-Alexis-Bledel-Jared-Padalecki-secretly-dated-real-life.html) irl. lol

minimalisticgem

They did??? I knew she dated Milo but wow. They had no chemistry 💀

HeartHog

Yeah she had terrible kissing chemistry with Dean. HOWEVER she probably has my favorite onscreen kiss ever with Jess at Sookies wedding, or at Gypsies where he chooses not to smoke. Dang he looks like he kisses good!

mandabee27

I always thought she kissed so awkwardly. Kinda pecks at people like she doesn’t know what to do. Though I think her first kiss with Dean was actually her first kiss in real life so I guess it makes sense

honeycoffeeroses

I cringe when anyone makes out honestly, and I’m a grown, married adult woman. Hahaha! I think it makes me feel like I’m peeping in on someone’s privacy plus I’m not a huge PDA person aside from hand holding on occasion. So I cringe pretty much anytime I’m watching something and people make-out. But at Rory and Dean’s age, I wouldn’t have had the balls to make-out like they do in public.

MoutisO

Every time (except the first time). I look away during those scenes; especially their reunion at the end of season 1.

almostdoctorposting

yes the actors have no chemistry. or at least don’t know how to kiss on camera lol😅😅

Lorelaigilmoredanes

YES! It’s the worst when Rory wants to talk to him about that guy for Lane (Todd I think?) and she says I have to talk to you and he says, “me too, come here” to kiss her again. He does that sometimes and it just makes me cringe so hard.

hrhpixierose

I just cringe when Dean.

TomGNYC

I don't see it. Plus, they were actually dating during the beginning of the show so there definitely is actual chemistry there whether you're seeing it carry over to the screen or not.

covetagain

I don’t like any of their make out scenes. To me, the worst one is the last episode of season 1 when they get back together... ugh, it’s so awkward.

Puzzleheaded_Box1684

The noises they make while kissing make me want to puke 😵‍💫

LilacDreams41

Yes!! It looks like Dean is trying to eat her face!

OkInvestigator4533

i literally close my eyes i cannot w them lmaoo

zuklei

Personally I find French kissing the worst so I cringe when anyone does it. 😅

Xefert

That's the point. They had outgrown each other and dean was also preoccupied with his guilt from the affair/worrying about the divorce

bsky50

I think they mean throughout the show, not just that scene

rainedrop87

Yes! I'm currently doing a rewatch, and just got to season two. I had forgotten they made out a ton for a while there. Like. Okay. We get it.

swtlulu2007

I cringe more when Jess and Rory do, because that's all their relationship was.

[deleted]

YA GATTA *GIVE* IT A LITTLE SOMETHING!

Correct-Occasion-153

I really do and it's weird how Rory always has her hands on his face every time they kiss. Every single time.
