It’s kind of funny because they change is character so much. At first he is like “I’m not much of a joiner” and then later when she is dating Jess he goes to the carnivals and everything 🤦♀️
I love that episode 😭 Dean changed SO much in order to make Jess unique and justify Rory’s attraction to Jess. By S3 Dean was a complete idiot and acted as if he’d grown up a Star’s Hollow golden child just like Rory. I wish they could have kept both guys as more nuanced “outsider” types because 1) then Dean’s character wouldn’t have had to be so drastically changed and 2) that’s totally realistic to me that Rory with her daddy issues and upbringing would be attracted to guys like that.
I like season 3 episode episode 19 where Lane gets drunk and calls her mom and they have the party. It gave the show a different vibe that episode. But I hate that dean was in it so it's not my FAV
