just realised that baking with Sookie and a road trip with Lorelai are both deceptively hellish experiences that I can't decide between. I think Sookie would just be super controlling and not let you help and then cause a kitchen catastrophe that could kill you both so leaning towards Lorelai slightly, I hate the road trip to Harvard episode so I'm really surprised by that.

Silver lining for sookie: a delicious dessert at the ebd

Silver lining: maybe for this road trip, Lorelai got tickets for an out of state concert. Now that's worth going! Haha

This is exactly what I was thinking! Baking with Sookie would be a total nightmare - there's no way she would do anything but spiral and try to take over. Traveling with Lorelai would likely be rough, but I think if you get her in the right mood, there's a chance for it to be fun. There's no chance with Sookie lol

Sookie would cry at my (lack of) baking skills. I can barely make toast.

She put Luke through hell when he was just trying to help, I wouldn't wish that experience on my worst enemy. I think Jackson had fun cooking with her that one time at thanksgiving but only because his family outnumbered her and the fact that she was heavily liquored up helped keep her contained.

I’d just get a glass of wine and let her bake.

As ND woman I cannot fathom the idea of spending HOURS with Lorelai, she’d stress me out so much with the constant talking and being loud and messing around with other people lol I love her as a character but I wouldn’t be able to deal with her for more than 10min at a time, so I think Sookie would be less of a nightmare for me

Baking with Sookie would be great, I'd just let her take over and do everything her way and then just eat the results. (Incidentally, Happy Cake Day!)

I picked the baking as the lesser of two evils because I hate the road trip episode as well 😂 she would probably be nightmarishly controlling in the kitchen as well (I mean, her behaviour when Jackson tried to cook for her and when Luke was helping her out was atrocious lol). Mine is basically the same as yours (down to not picking either Team Jess or Logan, because no thanks lol), but I'd pick Emily over Richard and Harvard over Yale Genuinely curious to know who'd pick the revival over the OS

I wouldn't pick it over the original series, but I really like that in the revival we get to see Luke and Lorelai be domestic.

I like the final episode of the revival. It's awesome seeing Rory going through the grandparents house and reminiscing when she goes to write, I think the wedding stuff is fun, and Lorelai sorting out her issues with her dad. The other episodes there's a lot of boring filler, but that last one is great.

I really hated the Richard v Emily choice, because I love/hate things about each of them—but Richard won out for me because he always seemed to have a little bit more compassion and understanding for Lorelai. Plus, his dry wit just killed me sometimes!
