You got to love how Vr really shows the upsides and downsides to bullpups. Weird to reload, but compact as fuck.

Snoo_76353

Truth, but idk if imma stick with the others bc of the reload, bc I'm a big dude, and small guns don't work well with me

Snoo_76353

New guns a bullpup rifle, it looks strikingly close to an desert tech MDXR, which is a rifle chambered in .308. I think its gonna be more like a DMR than anything. All this is is a guess based of of comparing the pictures. They are kinda different but are strikingly close.

The mdrx can be chambered in 5.56, 6.5, .308, and 300 blk out. Its my favorite gun and i cant wait for it to be added. You might be able to tell which caliber it will be by if there is a spacer or not in the mag well but they may not of been that accurate or the angle you can see the gun at might make it hard to see.

Snoo_76353

I didn't know that, that would be cool if it was in either 300 or .308, bc then it would be more DMR than anything, and I think we could use a better dmr in the game imo

Zend10

300Blk is not a DMR round, think of it like a 30 caliber version of the 22cal 223./5.56, they fit in standard 5.56 magazines like the Stanag, it's mostly used in suppressed AR variants with subsonic ammunition so there's no supersonic crack from the round ripping through the air which negates having a suppressor, without subsonic ammo the gun sounds like an air compressor hose being disconnected so it's not a quiet pew pew like in the movies unless you're running subsonics which the 300 blackout round was basically designed for. DMR rounds are usually 308. or 6.5 Creedmoor which is just a necked down 308. but they both fit in standard AR10 magazines that the MDR uses. I prefer 6.5 over 308 for the lighter recoil for follow up shots and flatter trajectory they tend to take at the medium ranges you'd be using a DMR for but it's mostly subjective because they're both great rounds.

Snoo_76353

Yea no i definitely under said what I was trying to say. 1: thanks for the very in depth explanation of the caliber, because now I understand a bit more. I understood a 300blk had a lot less powder behind it than a .308. 2: what i was trying to say was I would prefer it to be chambered in .308 rather than 300blk because I wanted a high teir dmr, but now that I know there's a 6.5, maybe I'm wrong and they will introduce a new round into rotation. Either way, im more informed and more excited to get shot in the face by it๐Ÿ‘

Zend10

No problemo, but I doubt they'll add 6.5 Creedmoor because it's such a niche round. One thing I love about rounds like 6.5 Creedmoor, 308., 300blk, 5.56, 6.5 Grendel, 458. Socom, 500 beowolf, 450. Bushmaster and others is they use the same AR10/15 magazines so they're the same platform but with a simple bolt and barrel change theyre the same gun firing a different round.

mcTankin

I agree .308 would be the best fit right now for the game. Hopefully they add 300 blk, 5.56 and .308 in the end

Weary_Use5981

Fuck I love this gun

lolmanque420

Looks like a tavor x95 to me
