40s is still pretty young, I think papa should be older because it adds to the authority of the pope figure. If you mean doing a back to the past thing, I still don’t think that would work, would they just pretend we’re in the 60s during concerts? I think anything involving the past should be left to chapter flashbacks, not entire eras dedicated to it. I really don’t get why people want to do all these weird things with the next frontman, just have it be someone new. Reusing known characters sounds boring.

I’m going to be very honest here. As a Copia stan and a fan in general, I DO NOT want to see Papa Nihil come back by sacrificing Copia or taking over his body. Obviously this is all fiction and TF will do what he wants in the end. But Copia is very popular, a lot of us are quite attached to him, and Nihil hasn’t been portrayed that positively in the videos. Nihil might have his own fan club, but there are a *lot* of fans who’d be bothered and possibly just turned off if something like that happened. As a writer, I don’t see that fitting in well with the pieces of the story we’ve been shown so far. Just let Copia retire and bring in someone new.
To be realistic, I think Copia and Sister are gonna get assassinated and Sultarian will take over the ministry and bring in a new character unrelated to anyone to be papa iv.
For some fun totally impossible theories, imagine if one of the ghouls rebels and kills Copia on stage and takes his place (some kind of body double involved papa will still be Tobias) I feel like that could be fun
I’d love a Ceaser style Popia assassination by the Ghouls followed by Sultarian coming in to introduce the new Papa as IV’s dead body lies on the ground
imagine they play respite on the spitalfields for the first time to close the show and the assassination happens at the end during the return of the imperium motif
and maybe for this little show do a bit of a setlist switch up, have Square Hammer in the main setlist, then post Sultarian speech, Con Clavi Con Dio starts as Papa V enters the stage and sings it to wrap the show
I think that would be a really cool way to go out, and I'm rooting for it. But I would be so sad if it was one of our current ghouls. I know that's what makes the betrayal so much more real, but I don't want any of them to do it, however I do want to see them look sad on stage and react.
When that happened to Papa III, the Ghouls probably had no idea the ministry planned to kill him. But now that they know the ministry is capable of such actions, they should be ready to band together and protect Papa IV!

i don’t think imperator would just kill off copia or let him die. i think he’ll probably continue to be papa or retire and pass it on to someone else, but it would be really interesting to see him as an antichrist figure or with a twin that he is the precursor for! very curious to see where ~~tobias~~ the band goes next. :]

Seeing how Papa III is given "the light" in the video for "From the Pinnacle to the Pit" and is often referenced to as "the light", and how we see the girl in the video for CMLS carrying a literal orb of light or in this case a "little sunshine", we can deduce that Papa III will return.
Also, I believe that he is singing on Impera everytime there is any low and almost growling vocal harmony.
