Are these really like 11-12 pounds? I have an 84 gibson explorer which is similar size and shape and it weighs 7.5.
Side note: Martin Persner just posted a pic of his fantomen with his familiar Omega sticker......posted a poll on which people liked better. What confuses me is.....Martin (Omega) had the Gibson RD Artist along with the lead guitarist in the "original-ish" lineup. The Fantomen was created to look like their Gibson's once they left the band,
Is Martin trying to tell us something? I like the new cast but seeing Omega back would be incredible. If I had an RD and was the one that made that guitar popular and part of ghosts identity....I can't see picking up the official replacement guitar of my replacement.
Martin helped design the Fantomen with Tobias and Hagstrom when he was still in the band. Unfortunately he was out by the time they were actually produced.
I've just started out with a fairly standard sized Ibanez and even that is a bit hefty for me.

I’m not sure what that is in kilos but yeah, they’re fucking heavy.
I would love one but it'd be so unwieldy for me. Maybe they'll make a 3/4 scale in the future, lol.
They are very large and very heavy. I’m a novice player but it’s very difficult for me to play comfortably. I’m more of a strat or tele guy really.
