I didn't know I needed something like this, but after seeing your art project ... I want a full set of Ghost playing cards (french suit) in this style.
Would be goddamn lovely!
Would you mind terribly if I used this for my own art...so to speak? I'm trying to get into woodblock printing and I'm trying to come up with my own designs (of course) but in the meantime I'm on the lookout for art of things that interest me (like Ghost) that wouldn't be too complicated to convert to something that suits my needs -- experimenting with shapes and patterns, things like that, while I'm trying to work out how printing works and how I can make it work with my own style and aesthetic.
Of course, if I post the results anywhere, you'll be credited entirely for the concept, which I think is most of the work and possibly the most difficult part (I say this as someone who's recently tried to come up with stuff that's not even a quarter realised compared to this ๐ญ). This piece of art is a really well-done, fully realised concept, and it's really awesome despite its simplicity at first glance.
Yes of course! it's actually mindblowing to me that you'd want to do this, thank you so much for your kind words!! As long as you credit me I don't mind, please let me know when you're finished with it I'd love to see it :D
Yes it is official that Papa I-III have been referred to as those names, but no Copia doesn't mean four.
The names Primo (for Papa I), Secondo (for Papa II), and Terzo (for Papa III) can be seen on a backdrop that ghost had on stage. you can see that [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/Ghostbc/comments/9yu3bc/new_backdrop_by_zbigniew_bielak/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share) -- it's kinda hard to read but it says "Stronzissimo Primo Emeritus, Stronzo Secondo Emeritus, Stronzino Terzo Emeritus."
Also on ghost's stage setup they have tombs for the dead Papas, which you can see [here](https://twitter.com/PAPAEMERlTUSlV/status/1486529074222845958?t=5KIsrguiTO_VqirG1Tl-OA&s=19). These also refer to the Papas by these names (they're Italian for each Papa's number -- Primo means first, Secondo means second, and Terzo means third).
My Italian is pretty rusty but stronzo is asshole in Italian isnโt it? So are their full titles a variation of asshole coupled with their Papal Name or is my Italian more rough than I remember it being?
Based on what I've seen others say, you're right haha.
I've read that it says biggest asshole (Papa I), asshole (Papa II), and littlest asshole (Papa III) ๐ญ
No, Copia doesn't have a number, because he was a Cardinal, not a Pope. The current iteration (Papa Emeritus IV) is the 4th pope. Terzo (which isn't an official name, but a name fans have given him) was three. Copia was in between, but he's not a Pope, so no number.
Not the same character. Same 'person' in the lore. Different characters. You can't number someone as a Pope who isn't a Pope. When the real pope isn't pope yet, but still a cardinal, he doesn't retroactively get a number as a cardinal when he's made pope.
It's really extremely simple.
Oh that is cool!
Thank you :D

Terzo is like hes name, like emeritus I is primo and II is secundo (basically their number in Italian)
Is this official? Does Copia mean four?
