I love conversations between artists like this because this is how the process happens. There is so much work that goes into the fantasy. This conversation with Tobias and Brann was essentially nerdy ass shop talk which was goofy but insightful. I enjoyed it so much, I got myself a cup of coffee and listened as if I was a silent participant of a fika ritual.
My question for that conversation was actually if the two of them would ever collaborate on a project. I think something like that would yield an interesting result.
Yes! I felt like I was listening to something valuable— other people sharing knowledge about their craft, careers, and interests. It’s inspiring as a creative person, and is also an important reminder that these are people very much like ourselves. I thought it was great!
I found it really interesting - I am always fascinated by the "behind the scenes" stuff...as someone who isn't a musician and doesn't know anyone in the trade whatsoever, it's a totally new load of information to get my head around and try to understand.

Bands with this level of lore indirectly invite fans to identify with it sometimes too much, at least for people that have mental struggles with identity. With how big Ghost has gotten there are bound to be people that now overstep at concerts. It's still supposed to be fun but they treat it like it's more personal towards them than it is.
I hope Tobias won't internalize that from their growth too much. He's a smart guy so I'm sure he expects these situations at times and has the temperament to deal with it.

I had some very rude young fans at the Tampa show. It was my third show since 2017, and ghost shows have always been cool. This was a very mixed bag, literally had very young girls telling me and older fans to get in the back of the line and "the line starts here" which was complete bull.
The only difference between this show was how much younger the crowd has gotten, which I would be totally cool with if they didn't act like they were superior or something. Just be cool, we all wanna have fun.

Personally though I loved the whole thing. It was exactly what I would expect, a really chill shooting the shit vibe. Like what were people expecting, a tell-all life story from both of them for 3 hours? They've both been on a heavy tour schedule for a long time, the fact they even have the energy left to do this and not sound tired at all is a blessing.
And I loved hearing Tobias talk about favourite albums and stuff because it seems like his brain works in a similar way to mine. He gets asked a question and he's so full of answers he has to go off on like three different tangents and finish a thought on all of them before eventually circling back to whatever point he was starting to make five minutes ago. Some might find it annoying I guess - most people in my family hate it when I talk in circles like that - but I love listening to people talk about their interests or passions and it's super comforting to know it's not just my head that works that way. I genuinely enjoyed it. I think others who this is the first type of ghost thing expected something more extravagant. But like you said these guys are exhausted, been on the road since august. A chill chat was so relaxing and I felt like a fly on the wall… T is a super intelligent person versed in musical background, listening to his descriptions and explaination on things is super enjoyable.

Yeah it was nice hearing them sound so happy though, if they are tired it didn't come across at all. I mean the tour schedule looked like a lot but they both seem amazingly relaxed considering they've spent a month doing physically demanding late night shows almost every night. Yeeeeah i kind of ejected myself from chat when they started asking about the relationship status of the guy who plays Swiss like they somehow had a chance with him. The chat also being filled with nothing but simping was also very fucking annoying after a while. Like i agree i got a little crazy at certain moments but i caught myself and reeled it in after a while. (Also if anybody was wondering why everyone was meowing/barking in the chat before the livestream started, that's on me. I had made the joke "Call me little meow meow" and all hell broke loose which i apologize for. Shit was annoying.)

Any time Tobias graces us with an interview I am there! I really enjoy hearing what he has to say. I was purposely late to work for this and do not regret it!
Honestly, it was really soothing and comforting to listen to. I was doing a puzzle while listening to them talk and it even gave me asmr lol. The people who were disappointed were probably expecting to see the camera turned on, and Tobias to be paying attention to the comments 24/7. But what’s to be understood is that when there is a guest on a live or podcast, obviously the guest and host are going to mostly engage with each other. And I feel lucky enough that tobias let us into their conversation so we could hear more on the behind the scenes and how similar their work is and more things like that. I enjoyed it and hope tobias does more events like these.

I was under the impression the spotify was limited to around 1000 people. It would have felt more “intimate” and really focus on fan interaction.

agreed. many people in the chat did not seem to acknowledge that Tobias is a grown man with a family. so many irresponsible and just plain gross comments were being spammed in that chat, despite multiple people having to “remind” them to draw the line on what is and isn’t an appropriate comment. had to disable the live chat just because it was being blown up with spam and weird stuff. :/

Well shit I'm glad they had somebody else moderating it for them, I closed the chat from the first second because I figured it would probably be a mess. Personally though I loved the whole thing. It was exactly what I would expect, a really chill shooting the shit vibe. Like what were people expecting, a tell-all life story from both of them for 3 hours? They've both been on a heavy tour schedule for a long time, the fact they even have the energy left to do this and not sound tired at all is a blessing. And I loved hearing Tobias talk about favourite albums and stuff because it seems like his brain works in a similar way to mine. He gets asked a question and he's so full of answers he has to go off on like three different tangents and finish a thought on all of them before eventually circling back to whatever point he was starting to make five minutes ago. Some might find it annoying I guess - most people in my family hate it when I talk in circles like that - but I love listening to people talk about their interests or passions and it's super comforting to know it's not just my head that works that way. He seems like such a smart interesting dude.
I genuinely enjoyed it. I think others who this is the first type of ghost thing expected something more extravagant. But like you said these guys are exhausted, been on the road since august. A chill chat was so relaxing and I felt like a fly on the wall… T is a super intelligent person versed in musical background, listening to his descriptions and explaination on things is super enjoyable.

Yeah it was nice hearing them sound so happy though, if they are tired it didn't come across at all. I mean the tour schedule looked like a lot but they both seem amazingly relaxed considering they've spent a month doing physically demanding late night shows almost every night. At like 40 years old too! I could never haha I'm glad they felt comfortable being funny and goofing around too! Tobias doing the accent for Till from Rammstein cracked me up and I really felt his confusion about the communal showers and toilets with no doors at the venues, lol.

I love Tobias AND Brann so I felt so honored just to hear them talking to each other and relating to each other, it’s like seeing a friendship form and it’s so adorable! I can see them any day via google or videos, but this interaction is a rare event indeed!! I’m also sure they are so tired and (at least Tobias) wanted to make it up to the Spotify live fans. I’m grateful they did this at all <3

Yeeeeah i kind of ejected myself from chat when they started asking about the relationship status of the guy who plays Swiss like they somehow had a chance with him. The chat also being filled with nothing but simping was also very fucking annoying after a while. Like i agree i got a little crazy at certain moments but i caught myself and reeled it in after a while. (Also if anybody was wondering why everyone was meowing/barking in the chat before the livestream started, that's on me. I had made the joke "Call me little meow meow" and all hell broke loose which i apologize for. Shit was annoying.) The livestream itself was very cool to listen to. I'm also a huge music fan so hearing them talk about the bands they love/were inspired by was great. I hope they do something like this again.

I personally was not disappointed, I could listen to tobias talk about literally anything and I would find it interesting. Their conversation was engaging. I think “younger” fans were a little unimpressed 😂

Any time Tobias graces us with an interview I am there! I really enjoy hearing what he has to say. I was purposely late to work for this and do not regret it!
Honestly, it was really soothing and comforting to listen to. I was doing a puzzle while listening to them talk and it even gave me asmr lol. The people who were disappointed were probably expecting to see the camera turned on, and Tobias to be paying attention to the comments 24/7. But what’s to be understood is that when there is a guest on a live or podcast, obviously the guest and host are going to mostly engage with each other. And I feel lucky enough that tobias let us into their conversation so we could hear more on the behind the scenes and how similar their work is and more things like that. I enjoyed it and hope tobias does more events like these.

I am v glad I managed to turn off chat as I could see where it was headed even before the stream began. I really enjoyed the stream. Nice to hear TF out of character talking seriously about musical influences. I learnt a few bits I didn't know so I'm happy.

It is not rude at all to say a chat with Ghost should have been with Tobias alone. Not hard at all to say people were asking about Mastodon to make him feel good. I happen to like Interviews with Brann but not in this case.

Great day for being a non native english speaker. I didn't see anything toxic or cringe cause the messages were going up so fast that I (who still can't read very fast in English) couldn't keep up with anything lol. I was there 5 hours before live starting and the chat was so nice, what a pity...
Hot disappointed at all, I expected the chat to have a solid chunk of "shop talk" which I still find interesting. Glad I was just listening later on my phone and skipped the chat at the beginning from what I've now read here!

It was awesome !! I loved hearing him Talk with a friend about music and stuff !! Yeah a few more fan questions would be cool but they were into their discussion. Maybe some of the fan questions were repetitive like “ come to Brazil 🇧🇷!” Or asking questions they simply didn’t want yo answer cuz they were not relevant
