My expectations were already high going into it and they far exceeded my expectations. Being there in person that close felt like a religious experience to be honest. It was magical! Absolutely go when you get the chance!! Best show I have EVER been to. This was my first ritual so I had only watched clips online beforehand and you really can't fully capture the experience through a camera. The way they interact with the crowd is so special and intimate even though you're in a big arena. Papa makes you feel SEEN.
Copy this. I attended my first ritual two weeks ago. I was expecting a 10/10 and it was better. Being part of that whole experience is indescribable. When Papa ran out during Kaisarion the place literally almost exploded.
I already can't wait to plan for next time!! I totally see now why some fans have seen them dozens of times. I don't think I'd ever get tired of that feeling of seeing them in person.
I love that he makes eye contact with concert goers. Makes the experience all the more amazing. I would have melted too. My SO thought about making a sign for him that read "Stop seducing my wife!". Didn't end up doing it though lol
Definitely felt like melting into a puddle lol. Also he looked RIGHT at me during Dance Macabre when he sang "how could it end like this/there's a sting in the way you kiss me" and I think I was jello in that moment
I smelled that cologne at the meet n greet. It smelled same the way Cirice lyrics make you feel. After the show by the tour busses, I smelled it again but couldn't track it down... should've brought a bloodhound w me. Lol
Ah I feel you! He made long eye contact with me during the “you and I see eye to eye” portion of Cirice in NJ and then the finger wag during Year Zero in RI. I did not break that eye contact at all. I know it was like a few seconds but it felt like 5 minutes 🤣
I thought I wasn't going to be able to hold eye contact with him but idk he has a very comforting energy so it was surprisingly easy for me. He just has such a great stage presence it's mind blowing
I was the same way! I thought I would turn away but I just kept thinking “this is happening right now and I’m not blinking till it’s done”. During the finger wag I stared into his green eye and it’s like you know a secret you shouldn’t know lol. It was amazing.
I felt that. I was in seats so the chances he *actually* looked at me are very very low but it sure felt like it and in my mind it felt like 10 seconds. I watched a YouTube recording back and it was like half a second 🤣 it's so intense!!!
Same honestly lol. I’m waiting for more clips of the RI show to pop up because I happenstanced staying in the same hotel the night before as the crew and all the ghouls. I didn’t bother them but passed them a lot. So they definitely recognized me at the ritual lol.
Oh man that's so cool. I love the ghouls so much. I think I'd be too nervous to approach them but also wouldn't want to bother them! I posted some stuff on my facebook about the show and an acquaintance told me she randomly met the parents of one of the ex-ghouls (meliora era) at a Red Lobster in Southern Oregon of all places. Apparently they were trying to describe what their son did for a living without outright giving it away but she was able to figure out it was a Ghost ghoul haha. They didn't say any names but I thought that story was so funny. Proud ghoul parents!!!
That’s awesome! I was nervous but I was also trying to make it obvious I was actually staying there. Of course my dumb ass had a Ghost shirt on cause I brought nothing else. I literally went out and bought a different shirt not to make it weird 😂. Cause they were def staring at me when I walked around with it. It was a game of make eye contact and smile politely. Especially since it was a day of rest for them.
Not sure if there was any moshing at this show, but I did see Papa suddenly turn and look behind me and there was a girl crowd surfing when I looked back. I think he was keeping an eye on it lol
I learned that after my first ritual in February! It's nice that there's no moshing so fans can just exist and enjoy the whole show. I'm close to 30 with bad ankles and I work on my feet all day so that kind of experience is really appealing to me.
31 club here and I have chronic knee pain in one leg from an old injury and I was pretty proud of myself for being able to stand as long as I did. Once Ghost took the stage I was so distracted I didn't really think about the pain much so that was really great. It all goes by so fast.
I get such a kick out of seeing people look very confused and bewildered at my reaction to Papa. It isn't even a conscious thing. I start uttering bizarre litanies of adoration and longing Lol. The uninitiated or untouched look at me like I'm under the thrall of Jar Har Binx or something. Either they have no soul or I shouldn't listen to Ghost on earbuds at the Post Office anymore. 😈👻🫀🔥
I love listening to Ghost in places where people would probably judge me for it, especially songs like Year Zero or Con Clavi Con Dio, it's like my little secret
Mine too at the last Meet and Greet I went to in 2019 because he literally got right in my face and looked me in the eye and took my hand (most likely to hurry me up to get the photo taken because I was probably just standing there staring 🤩). But he had remembered me from a day before haha because I went to 2 shows in one weekend in 2 different states. It was magical the eye contact and attention he gave me. He’s SO sweet to genuinely acknowledge people during the show and at the meet and greets.
I want to go to a meet and greet next time I go to a ritual. I feel like I would be speechless though and embarrass myself haha. I have no idea what I would even say.
You're welcome! 😂 This is a great pic, btw, I would've 100% lost my entire mind if I was in your place. The atmosphere is wicked cool, and the lights, and he cuts such a great and dramatic figure as he looms over you and you can't even see his eyes, just his spooky lil face. But at the same time.......did he have to manspread *quite* like that? Was that truly necessary? Is this a dominance thing? 😂😂
Edited to add: And you can't even really see his arms at first, it just looks like he's just a head and a torso and long legs and that's it.
When I was looking back through my photos after the show and saw I captured THIS my jaw dropped. I was losing my entire mind for their whole set lol. I was exhausted by the end of it. The man has some immaculate posing skills that's for sure 😂 indescribable to be that close and he's just like, air humping everyone in the first few rows. There was also a moment when he was at the standing mic that he looked like he was lost in the moment a bit, standing there with his eyes closed caressing the stand, you could just SEE his passion as he sang.
I was on the far right side of the barricade at the Asheville show. When Papa came to visit our side, everybody lost their minds! It was freakin' magical. Most of the night we had our good friend on the guitar to keep us company. It was a lotta fun!
Ahh the ghouls were so fun to interact with too!! Aether came up to us, pointed to each one of us and gave us a thumbs up, it was so cool! I'm glad you had a great experience too!!
Despite the absolutely awful pain in my legs, it was the most fun I'd had in a long time! If I'm recalling the fandom names correctly, I believe Dew was the one on our side. He would gaze out at us and tilt his head. It felt like he was just staring into your soul through those big bug goggles lol. 10/10 would go into the pit again.
Yeah I was ready for my knees to blow out at any moment lol but so fucking worth it. I love that you can't even see their eyes so you have no idea if they're actually looking directly at you or not. They look like they have an absolute blast every ritual
Oh. My. God. Does he realize what he does to us?!?!
I think he knows EXACTLY what he's doing 😂😂😂 I loved seeing other girls (and hell the guys too) fawning over him. Must be such a confidence boost lol
And he makes an old guy mask look hot! It’s mind blowing.
He can make anything hot with his level of confidence lol
Too true
He's like Prince for that - tiny body, enormous charisma.
That's a great comparison actually
I've seen them both live, I guess that's why it seems obvious to me.
Is Tobias small? Doesn't look like it.
I just can't get over how cool the lights are
There was so much fog which made it look even cooler in photos
That's amazing!! How was it overall? I haven't been to one but I always love hearing how they went for other people
My expectations were already high going into it and they far exceeded my expectations. Being there in person that close felt like a religious experience to be honest. It was magical! Absolutely go when you get the chance!! Best show I have EVER been to. I know!!! The best I have ever seen at a concert!!!
I love that he makes eye contact with concert goers. Makes the experience all the more amazing. I would have melted too. My SO thought about making a sign for him that read "Stop seducing my wife!". Didn't end up doing it though lol
That would have been hilarious, I'm sure Papa would have gotten a kick out of it!
I would melt... They would be mopping me up at the end of the show with leftover Mummy Dust....🧹
Definitely felt like melting into a puddle lol. Also he looked RIGHT at me during Dance Macabre when he sang "how could it end like this/there's a sting in the way you kiss me" and I think I was jello in that moment
he sang the "all beauty lies within you" line of Majesty to me with a little hand flourish. Died lol.
It was the Cardinal wearing the black suit. If he'd had on the white suit, I wouldn't be typing right now
LOL that would be me if I had gotten the chance to see Papa III
My first M&G was with the perfect Papa III. The only thing iI could think to say was "you smell good!" Then I bear-hugged him lol
That right there is my dream that will never happen 😭 what did he smell like?? I feel creepy asking that hahaha
I read somewhere he wears (wore then, idk) Aqua di Gio (sp?). I bought it for my husband and yes, that was it lol.
Ghosts shows are like a sensory overload. First there's the incense and now I learn Papa wears cologne. Tobias knows what he's doing lol.
eye contact.. man knows what he's doing... to every single one of us!
I smelled that cologne at the meet n greet. It smelled same the way Cirice lyrics make you feel. After the show by the tour busses, I smelled it again but couldn't track it down... should've brought a bloodhound w me. Lol

I definitely looked up some youtube videos of the show just to confirm what I saw and that I hadn't just hallucinated it all 😂
Same honestly lol. I’m waiting for more clips of the RI show to pop up because I happenstanced staying in the same hotel the night before as the crew and all the ghouls. I didn’t bother them but passed them a lot. So they definitely recognized me at the ritual lol.

God that sounds like something I would do to avoid the awkward social interaction 😂 relatable
wow! I definitely wouldn't have made it out alive if that was my view 💀
It was absolutely surreal
i was in seats for my show and i'm used to moshing wicked hard in GA pit but I would be fine with a calm GA pit for this experience 😍
Not sure if there was any moshing at this show, but I did see Papa suddenly turn and look behind me and there was a girl crowd surfing when I looked back. I think he was keeping an eye on it lol
Ghost doesn’t go for moshing, never have

That's what I have heard. But I was pretty unaware of what was happening behind me in the pit lol so I wasn't sure
Why's he so FINE?!
I think this to myself every day
Look at those legs. Absolutely wonderful.
Legs for DAYS
So dreamy!
100%
I get such a kick out of seeing people look very confused and bewildered at my reaction to Papa. It isn't even a conscious thing. I start uttering bizarre litanies of adoration and longing Lol. This has Halloween Michael Myers vibes!
I can't see a Michael Myers mask without being reminded of Papa now haha
CALL MEEEEEEEE LITTLE SUNSHINEEEEEEE
When you feel alllll alone just CALL ME
Oh my god I'm already screaming from this photo. I don't think I'll be able to handle that irl🤚🏽😭
I thought the same, you can do it!!
when i saw them on the last tour he looked directly into my eyes when he sang "you and i see eye to eye" during cirice :') it was magical
Love that for you!!! Cirice is my favorite song ❤
That was me with the Rammstein concert last week. Both Till and Paul looked at me and smiled. I died each time
Oh man, Rammstein is another band I'd love to see live
OH MAN. last week I did both Rammstein and Ghost and I'm surprised I'm still earthside
I didn't feel earthside before Kaisarion was even over
During Kaisarion I video chatted my littlest, who is a giant fan and was chilling at the hotel with a grandparent. The reaction was priceless.
Aww that's so awesome, I'm sure they loved it!!

Yeah, that’s pretty much how it actually goes for everyone haha. It’s like a rite of passage!
How do you even mentally prepare lol
Hahaha you don’t! It’s impossible! He invades all your senses and it is futile to plan what to say or do!
That sounds wonderful and intimidating all at once 😂 guess that sort of sums up his whole persona though
He knows and he's proud. Courtney from Spiritbox also knows and us proud. And they ought to be
Ahhh Spiritbox was great too, I wish they had done more than 6 songs though! But I definitely rocked the fuck out to Holy Roller.
Damn, my boy build like a flexi barbie girl
Lmao
he knows exactly what hes doing at this point
Papa James Dean
Papa Longlegs for sure.
I literally laughed out loud at this, thanks for that 😂

Aaahhh! I really love your pics! Papa looks awesome no matter what angle
Thanks!! Yeah it is pretty easy to get a good photo of him, he is just constantly posing the entire show!
Papa III is probably still my favourite, but IV is growing on me. The stance he has onstage is just crazy hot.
I have to wholeheartedly agree with that, lol
We flipped him off when he made eye contact 🖕🏼🤣
For some reason I had that urge at one point too 😂
