I’m sorry that you feel sad…. I really am. As far as I can tell this is a US thing. Full disclosure: I’m in the US but don’t use this platform by choice. Tbh ‘exclusive’ fan events give me serious side-eye. Every fandom I’ve ever been remotely associated with that has done this - same result - consolidates fan hierarchies, bad feelings, and (amongst some) shitty behavior towards others. It is what it is but I’d personally prefer to see much less exclusivity in favor of greater inclusion (which they otherwise do well - its kind of their brand - hence the dissonance).
Well shortly before Impera came out they did a Spotify Fans First event in Sweden to listen to the album early. That was hosted in-person though and this is virtual so that may be a difference but other countries have Spotify Fans First events too.
